    first of all welcome back my boy hope you had a good holiday break! second of all, as a fellow knicks fan myself, im suprised to hear you say we dont need that big splash anymore because i think we're in the perfect position to try to pursue an all-NBA type player once he becomes unhappy or is available in free agency that way we dont have to give up much. once mitchell robinson is back this team is gonna be nice as hell but not a contender until we can get a top 10 or top 5 guy. great vid tho P love the podcast

    Warriors could maybe deal with a few of these problems, but they’re all happening at the same time with the highest salaried team in the league. There really just isn’t much flexibility for the team to make meaningful changes/moves

    I don’t know which the warriors should choose but they just need to pick a path trade the young guys for older talent or trade the old guys to reset. They need to pick a side and commit to that side to get out of this scenario where they are good but not good enough

    First time comong across your channel. Keep up the good work. I think some roster changes are needed however i think tbe main issue is the coaching. There has been a change in the coaching since Mike Brown left. While Kerr is the head coach it seems like Mike was the voice of the locker room when the team is not giving 100%. Also can you explain Kerr horrible rotations over the last 3 years? Taking folks out the game when they are hot causing big leads to be blown and sitting back watching it with no effort to make an adjustment. He is obsessed with being small and I am confused why they have not realized over the last several years that they are too small in the west for the playoffs. I thought this was a Bob Myers issue but even after he left Steve doubles down on playing too small.
    Again trades are peobably needed but I do think Kerr has done his time and a new voice is needed. However there is a high respect for him and they are not letting him go mid season. If he goes its going to be after his contract expires in the summer.

    100% agree with the Lakers. As a Lakers fan it is so frustrating how the media and the “fans” have zero patience with our players. Darvin Ham says the same thing “I’m tired of people living and dying with every game”
    I am a fan of chemistry and we never allow ourself to grow that because fans have zero patience and constantly hate on our on players and coaches
    Imo it’s because it’s LA and it’s a lot of casual basketball fans, so they want the stars and big names not fully understanding how the game works
    It’s the LeBron effect sadly

    The picks that didn't pan out (Wiseman and Poole),regardless why,may haunt this franchise in a few years. They had a chance to have at minimum, either some very promising players for the post dynasty Warriors,or assets (trading those picks) to possibly prolong the dynasty. If they trade Kuminga and/or Moody and don't win another title with Steph,it'll be very unfortunate for them.

  • @peaceful344
    @peaceful344 7 місяців тому

    I believe the Poole trade was a mistake. One of the many issues this season is Steph having to work harder on offense. CP3 is great but he didn't replace what Poole gave them.
    Last year everyone thought Poole wasn't good. Yes his efficiency took a hit but he still averaged 20ppg and 5 assists off the bench and played all 82.
    When Steph was out due to injury for 26 games Poole's average jumped to 26ppg.
    Klay and Poole were the only two shooters at that time and they ended up winning more games then they lost while Steph was out and Wiggins was away. This is what helped them make the playoffs.
    If the Warriors don't make the playoffs this season people are going to call them out on that trade. Trying to appease Draymond.

    It's not only that the Warriors are in chaos and getting destroyed now, but also that the rest of the league has finally found out how to get past GSW's defense and score on them plus the refs have them targeted and that doesn't help. Every bump they see, the refs will call a foul but when it's the Warriors getting hurt, no fouls are called. It's hard to win when it's 5 vs 8. With regards to trading, a BIG NO if we are to trade our young players. They may be in a slump or whatever you want to call it but they will rise again. Besides, trading for a tall man? Kerr doesn't know how to use a big man so it's useless to get a big. Kerr prefers guards and small ball that knows how to pass the ball to Steph - the only play the team knows.

    completely right ab the lakers organization. ty for realizing how toxic our team’s front office is. more & more fans are starting to see it. i hope real change behind the scenes will take shape soon.
    the way they handled vogel’s firing then tried to wage a proxy war on lebron & klutch was the nail in the coffin for a lot of us. we haven’t trusted jeanie or her advisors since. kurt rambis has way too much influence over this team & is one of the most toxic personalities in the front office.
    darvin ham does deserve to be fired though. up until our last few games he’s done nothing but adjust lineups. he’s finally switching up our defensive schemes & running more plays, but it’s still not enough & the players are clearly over it.

    Why would Warriors pay up for Siakim when he could just leave, or they could get him for free in the offseason. To me all these problems have been a domino effect from Wiggins dropping off a cliff. The guy looks completely disinterested. I think Klay's struggles wouldn't have been as bad if Wiggs was carrying his weight. Looney may have contributed to the fall off as well, because that starting lineup was statistically excellent the last few years and it was their bench that's struggled. Now it's the opposite. Also, they used to surround Curry with athletic wings, they never really ran traditional PG's, now they're running CP3 & Podz with Curry. It's just too small a lineup. But also during that last chip, Dray and GP2 were playing a lot and playing great D. That's been non-existent this year... especially GP2's point of attack D slowing teams offence down. Gordan Hayward for Wiggins, that would be a decent outcome. But maybe even the bottoms teams don't want Wiggs.

    Chris paul, and a minimum contract (NOT SARIC hes balling) for d’lo and t prince? I think the warriors arent as far away as youd think, i also think moody could be a guy with sneaky value for some of these GMs, maybe u could get bogdanovic from detroit for moody and tbh id send draymond to Detroit bc like u said in a TTW episode if he isnt playing like we know he can (stats dont matter we know what he CAN bring to the offense) then steph has to cash a lot of checks he writes and it makes sense to me to wash my hands with that noise

    • @shyamnatarajan5149
      @shyamnatarajan5149 7 місяців тому

      The Warriors front office got to decide if they want to develop young players under 24 or are they gonna get players from ages 25-32. I love Kuminga and Moody and thst they want to get paid by playing well but if their first priority isn't about winning a chip with GS this season, I don't see how this team can build chemistry and be on the same page. If I'm GS, I'm going all in to get Siakam or KD(if Suns decided to trade him and rebuild/retool). GS got all the pieces in the world to trade for cuz if they are in win-now mode, I beleive that's the move they should be doing.
      The mistake Kerr did was he sbould have played Moody and Kuminga more games last season during the regular season to develop them and be familiar with the system. Instead Steve stunt their growth and leading to lack of trust.

    • @shyamnatarajan5149

      I'll keep the Warriors big 3. We saw what happen to both the Warriors offense and defense without Dray. Even Steph's offensive production has dropped without Dray fkr the past 5-6 games. It's the same way in the Lakers series when Steph was forced to play true-point guard.

  • @JohnThomas-xp8kz

    P this is just where you and I are gonna disagree. If I’m the warriors I can’t operate like this team is still the team from 2 seasons ago, Klay and Wiggs aren’t the guys they were back then they just aren’t those players anymore and Poole isn’t coming off the bench anymore. This roster has too many holes on it I can’t trade 2 of my young pieces and 2-3 future draft picks for a guy who as much as I love Pascal Siakam I don’t think he’s gonna get me past 4-5 of these western conference teams. I gotta be realistic I can’t mortgage the future for this team with how old the best players on the roster are, last thing I want is to find myself like the Brooklyn Nets as a team where it’s questionable whether we’ve got the talent to compete and we don’t control our own destiny anymore as far as draft picks go. Steph is a warrior as long as he wants to be but Dynasty’s end.

    • @allans9308

      Nets fan here, trust me it’s not fun the situation the Nets are in. The front office thinks that the team is a contender, making the veterans play big minutes and not letting the young guys in the rotation. Even cam Thomas who’s the best scorer on the team lost his minutes

    Are the Warriors trying to build for their future or not? Because they have so much young high potential role players. Kerr’s system always revolved around a superstar, 2-3 great players in their role, 2-3 good pieces/their bigs, and the rest are impactful YET replaceable role players. The Warriors have at most 2 seasons left to “contend” in a highly competitive NBA. I honestly have no idea whats next for the Warriors. They can go lottery and find a potential superstar or fizzle off the face of the NBA landscape.

    Its weird seeing the Lakers and Warriors, complete opposites from the standpoint of how they run their organizations both failing after winning titles in the relative near past. Bron and Steph both aging superstars who seemingly need help but also have some blame they need to account to. Bron is constantly in a state of impatients and Steph showing way too much. The Lakers are keeping their players in a state of un rest like P said, no one knows if they will be dealt because there is so much turnover. On the other hand the Warriors are suffering from continuity. They probably should make dramatic changes both to their lineup and roster but Kerr refuses to go any direction but HIS GUYS.

  • @kyleflick1799
    @kyleflick1799 7 місяців тому

    I think Kerr has got to go for the warriors to get better. They’re not talented enough to get away with not taking care of the ball and letting draymond get away with so many situations for YEARS. That culture feels like it’s got to change to get better since they don’t really have many trade assets and I’m not sure they want to rely on the draft right now when they have Steph still playing amazing.

    To me comparing a team like the Celtics to the Lakers when talking about continuity is wrong. The Celtics have had the luxury of their best players being very young which allowed them to keep running back the same roster with small tweaks. The Lakers have LeBron who is almost 40 years old & a guy who is great in AD but has shown to me very injury prone. The Lakers were dumb in breaking up that championship team but they did so and are where they are. LeBron wants to win now before his time runs out and doesn’t feel like sitting around waiting for guys to figure it out.
