    The last indefinite suspension was Kyrie for only 8 games (Granted that was a very different circumstance), and it came out today that Dray is still allowed to practice with the Dubs while suspended. Especially Steve Kerr, claiming to not see the play every time. Warriors are the weakest "dynasty" in terms of standing among the other NBA dynasties IMO. The half of their championships that made them a dynasty were won with the cheat code of KD (who was better than Steph those years LBR), and it made them entitled and over confident in their abilities and legacy. Steph can no longer coast on naturally good team chemistry and it's highlighting his weaknesses as a leader.

    I don't agree with the indefinite suspension. It feels like they punish him out of the narrative instead out of the rulebook. I agree he should be punished harsher than his previous suspension but the NBA should suspend him with a definite number of games because it can be used to set standard on any similar situation in the future.
    For me, just say suspend him for 10-20 games and then told the Warriors to take responsibility on keeping him accountable. The problem is not just on Draymond but also the way GSW never hold him accountable on every bad things he did just built on the way he keep doing all the dirty plays.

    • @damii6024
      @damii6024 9 місяців тому

      its indefinite because hes doing counseling and has to get past that before being able to play. And you can't really put a timetable on how long that will take

    • @mhqqiqin_
      @mhqqiqin_ 9 місяців тому

      @@damii6024I understand that but it's shouldn't be the NBA discipline committee's responsibility. If Draymond does need a counseling session, then it's the GSW responsibility to provide it to keep him accountable. The NBA can pressure the GSW to give Draymond a counseling but as the direct employer GSW should be the one who takes the action.
      Let's say NBA suspend Draymond for 20 games. The NBA then can ask the GSW to get him a counseling as one way of keeping him accountable. After 20 games of suspension, formally he can play but under the team's assessment if the GSW think he will not do the same violation again he can play, but if they're not sure if he will not do his shit again then as their responsibility the GSW can hold him from playing any games even after the suspension period is over. That's show that GSW as an organisation can take responsibility on holding their player accountable. But of course if he does play and repeat his violation again and again then the punishment must get harsher and harsher.
      The thing is, it's kinda late to take this action because he have been doing that dirty plays for years. So I understand why they choose to suspend him indefinitely, but it feels like the NBA didn't punish him for his violation this season only but they punish him for his every dirty plays on his entire career.

    Let me just start of by saying I’ve always seen draymond as this kind of dirty player from when they first made the finals and kicked lebron in the nuts.
    Now, I agree with everything except for the part where you said his role with the dynasty is replaceable.
    He was the second most important piece for the team. Curry obviously number 1, but without draymonds defense and playmaking they don’t win anything.
    At the time when they were starting their dynasty this mentality was needed because everyone viewed them as soft, so draymonds play and off court antics was necessary to establish the team as legit.
    Now that he’s old and washed he shouldn’t be doing the same stupid things off the court but in my opinion this is what warriors fans deserve. For the last 10 years they were happy when draymond was being dirty, hurting or injuring players because draymond was barely ever punished and the team was good and dominating. The fans always supported him when he was doing the exact same thing years ago, but now that they aren’t winning anymore they are saying that he’s a horrible person. He’s always been horrible but it’s too late to feel bad for warriors fans because they are part of the problem just like Steve Kerr and the rest of the team.
    They have no one to blame but themselves for what draymond is now.

      @@Jalenciagaaa the splash brothers got all the credit but if you ask me dray and Steph is the better duo in golden state, and tbh I don’t think it’s close. Now if we are factoring in the KD years then it’s a convo for sure.

    Y’all complain about the league being soft and then complain about the only enforcer in the league, people like draymond have existed for the entire existence of sports, this is a man’s sport when it’s played at the highest level, a suspension yes i get that but legacy ruined? Capppppp he’s a HOF

    i think if they suspended him for the rest of the season it would be enough, we've seen time and time again with dray that no matter how he's punished he's gonna keep reoffending point blank period. i think a full season (well almost full season) of a suspension could probably smack him upside the head and put him back in reality so maybe he'll behave his gosh damn self and not act all emotional like a petty fourth grader. i'm a warriors fan and im done with this shit and half my community because there's a delusional half that's like "we stand with draymond he did nothing wrong blah blah blah" sounding like some steve kerr brainwashed losers. i get it he meant a lot to the team and it part of the original core, but sometimes you can't let people walk all over you, literally and figuratively in this case, and just turn a blind eye. i just wanna see him fixed or out the door.

    I agree that the first thing that most will think of when they hear draymonds name will be the outside of basketball antics. But his legacy isn’t ruined, just hindered. You still have to credit everything he’s done on the court & for that organization, & his antics can’t take away from that. But it is hurting his personal brand/reputation 4sho. Hope this is his last time with the antics

    Nobody remember Bill lambieer as the anchor of a 2 time Champion pistons team, they remember him as a butcher. And bc of his ways, its gonna be the same with dray.

    Kerr is a hypocrite. One of the best coaches but damn I would not trust him at all because he sure likes to lie and pretend.
