Thanks a lot for this video. Had a cracked thermostat housing and you walked me through it perfectly. Got it done today in about 4 hours. One minor comment -- you forgot to mention the bolt attached to the bracket on the bottom of the air intake manifold. I figured it out eventually.
It was a real bear getting at those two blind bolts behind the housing!

Two things, first, why reinstall passager side cooling fan? That could wait and gives you more room to work. Second, you removed the Starter but you skipped that in your video? This may confuse a lot of non mechanics. Otherwise good tutorial. Ty

You don’t need to remove all that to get at the thermostats on these k24’s

Excellent video! Just wish I could have seen how you cleaned up the intake manifold surface. Same as you did the thermostat housing surface? What happens if I don't remove the studs to clean the surface?

Awesome video for detail, however, you never mentioned you removed the starter motor as the inner thermostat housing is practically inaccessible with-it in. The other thing is your lack to inform people of the use of PB blaster or WD -40 to assist in getting the rusted bolts out, you do mention the Anti-cease lube (Nickel base I assume) which is paramount if some other poor bastard has to do the job again. I spent 2-days getting the stripped bolts out of the thermostat housing, the car had 200k on it in the bolts were disintegrating. I have been doing this for 40 years but never on a Honda. Thanks, DH

I'm currently having a leak at that L hose. Not sure if it's the seal worn or need to change the entire housing.

on a CRV 2007, working from below the vehicle, got a cracked thermostat housing, managed to remove the three bolts holding it in place, trying to remove upper hose clip , its not convenient, stuck at that point, trying not to remove so much stuff.

Nice video, but you didn't explain at all why you had to remove so many parts. Why did you remove and replace the second coolant housing ??? As far as we know, it didn't need replacing at all ! NO EXPLANATIONS WERE GIVEN !
