I'd go this round one W5050SQ3. Unless you don't mind a square beam.
The warm one is brighter and throws further. So that's my pick.

Hi. I just got a Z1 with SST70 but I don't enjoy the blue-ish tint and the tint shifting. Also, it seems like this 3000k emitter is tighter and throws much further. Is that right?
That's correct. This emitter has a smaller die surface and is de-domed, unlike the SST40. That generally creates a longer range beam.
Is it difficult to swap the LED in the Z1? Thanks
I don't have access to my Z1 at the moment. But I remember taking it apart, and it was quite simple. Can do it by hand.
I wonder how it would work with an Osram W1?
It'll have better throw but much lower light output.
