  • In this video, we will show you how to use a de-esser on your master channel to eliminate resonant frequencies if you master music there is no doubt that you will come across a few songs that can benefit tremendously from this technique.

    very helpful dope content can you please do a video on levels
    when mixing i think i am making mixes way to loud it causes bit of distortion thanks in advance

    Nice, never thought of using a de-esser like that.
    One question- why are you using it after your distortion and multiband comp plugins? I usually use corrective / surgical tools early in the chain to remove junk before I run my broader stroke processes.

    This is interesting but tough to really understand and hear these distortions as like you said "using bands narrow and boosted +9db like this has an un-natural sound regardless" I did hear a couple times what you are trying to convey. Other times I felt like the freqs on the left and sides of the sweep had similar annoyance and harshness. I guess its a matter of room acoustics, training and art.
    It's almost like your texturing the mix.

    nice! Any reason you used the zero latency setting in the fabfilter Q?

      I don't know for sure but i think zero latency makes it so every frequency gets cut.. unlike the natural phase setting which is more brief. i hope i got that right it might be the other way around.. google it haha :)

    Is there a another desser thats cheaper will get same results?
