This man is a legend 😎🤘 I love Thomas lang and his drumming and how he has expanded the universe 😊🔥❤👏👍 so much excitement and passion and he still knows how to have fun.

I know exactly what you mean, and this is the same thing that's always bugged me about Thomas Lang. He is without a doubt fantastically talented at drumming, but I never hear any groove or soul in his solos. With little exception, it all seems to purely be a showcase of chops and technique. Check out this solo by Todd Sucherman, which I love. Way less busy on the drumkit than your average Lang solo, but with a real energy and spirit through all the playing. ua-cam.com/video/j6NoINimNrw/v-deo.html
To be fair mangini is a bit more technical. Along with Thomas lang he's probably one of the best drummers alive. He's pretty darn fast without playing messy. He actually holds a world record for speed. Mike is an octopus dressed like a man.
@@Lucidfilth a bit more technical than who? The general professional drummer or: Thomas Virgil Marco ? I agree he’s a tour de force drummer, BUT he’s by no means “ better (or more technical)” than those three men I just named. He was just simply the best fit for DT NO if’s, ands, or buts about it. Now if you put him up against say Roddy for an extreme metal or thrash band I’m pretty sure Roddy would beat out Mangini, and the others as well. It’s his specialty.
Cheer him for respect & his stick tricks, but this solo wasn’t great, he’s much more capable than that, & better ones are on UA-cam. I’ve seen better solo’s from Donati, Sipe, & Phillips.
Neil Peart grew up wanting to be Keith Moon. Thomas Lang grew up wanting to be Neil Peart. Just think of how good the drummer who grows up wanting to be Thomas Lang will be.
Are you high? Pearts solo is LIGHT YEARS ahead of this. Banging on everything while constantly rolling your feet, with absolute minimal musical nuance. Even TL, would admit Peart has been on another level for 40 plus years. UA-cam critics man. LMFAO 🤷♂️
Thomas Lang:
Your appearance makes the world dance .we like yoh. Thanks.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
very good ! Beautiful video and great Thomas Lang. Thank you Ed

Mr. Lang was really on that night and what a great crowd, amazing energy!
Good cardio training Thomas. Awesome drummer,my favorite !
There is drumming and drums. And then there is Thomas Lang. Totally different level and category of skill
I love his energy 🔥🔥
This man is not human, his limb independence is ridiculous,he is my HERO!!
Very good technic but i can not hear any music....not for me, sorry !

I'd like to hear him play more without all the damn double kicks all the time.
What do you have against double kicks?

No, this is HIS style. His trademark.

はい、彼は手足に多くの自立性を持っています
iTS ok
But, does it Djent?.
Samuel Chersoni Is djent a word?
of course he does
I can appreciate his skill, but he's just way too spaz. Not pleasing (to me) to listen to.

He needs to bulk up a little bit.
That is audio problem not Thomas

I cant believe Mangini got the DT gig over Thomas?
It's ok, they turned him into some sort of dynamics-less robot. Lang is better off on his own.
Mangini's a better fit for the part.
It was pretty much decided before the auditions happened. Mancini is a great drummer, but what really counted was he is a great fit for DT.

Thomas Lang its amazing too bad the sound they put on the drums was very weak it made sound like hitting cardboard and some buckets along side
Keren,,much better than MP

makes Peart's solo seemed outdated
