Fulda is my hometown. And as a Kid we usally had some manoveurs in the forest behind our house. We loved to see the tanks and to trade our homegrown vegetables to the GIs, though we could have a ride in the M103. As we grew older we became aware, why this all happened, and Im really glad that in 1989 the menance from the east vanished.
My father, who was an ingenieur for streetbuilding, told me in 1990, that some of the manwholes, that which had an iron cross on top, were build to be mines, to blow up bridges or destroy streets in forests or narrow passages.
Not just conventional mines, but nuclear mines.
We're sure glad you didn't get blown up, ran over or collateral damaged. Fulda's a nice town
@@nickyevdokymov5526i know
''we have suffered series losses in Fulda''.......meanwhile dudes in Fulda ''WAT, no we havent'' lol
My first thought was "??? what losses?"
@warmachine5835 munitions. Many many munitions were lost. Right into Soviet tanks lol
I completely agree about playing the AI. Is about trying to use real tactics and minimizing losses. Is quite fun especially stratagizng with someone in co-op.
Literally the entire 8th guards army plus East German support, vs the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment… They never stood a chance XD
Thats why the 3rd armored rushes to save their asses.
Except its more like a corps
Me this morning: "Man, I wish Vulcan brought the fighters in this battle."
Me at brunch 2 hours later: VULCAN STRIKE EAGLE?????
The Pact aircraft you didn’t see in the first fight were 85th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment. That’s probably why they never showed up.
Nice, i just finished watching the first episode lol
Something I've noticed is that tripod MGs cost absolutely nothing to deploy so, while I am aware they are not good, to put it kindly, there's no reason not to spread a few out between your main fighting positions to act as a sacrificial deadline and at least reduce the chance of a MANPAD team or recon squad sneaking through your lines, as the AI seems to like doing.
If you pair them with recon and/or atgms, they’re very good against hordes of inf because the tripod mgs get like 1200 m range or something
Fulda gap sounds like some nasty anatomy
Everytime the Eugene AI guys watch a VulcanHD video they go Home and self harm xD
Playing this campaign from the pact side, there are so many units but taking out the stacks of bradley + abrams with east german t55 is quite frustrating.
I really like how, if the enemies are close enough, your tanks can get double kills with their armor piercing rounds.
been waiting for these campaign's to come out to watch 10/10
Nice campaign video. I was waiting to get Warno. Looks like it's finally at a stage where there is actual single player content now.
Hey Vulcan, you only get four points per turn from Lauterbach and Schluchtern.
Yeah I have since realised that, cheers
Played through this campaign before watching your videos and man those Strike Eagles were MVPs the whole time.
Great videos thanks for riveting content
42:16 did that M1A1 smoke off automatically?
probably defensive posture, was mentioned as a nifty trick in a previous video
If it’s set to defensive a vehicle with smoke will automatically deploy it if it’s engaged by a unit it can’t fire back against, useful for taking a bit of micro load off sometimes
@@markowitzen thanks, I missed that part.
@@lelmone6856 thanks!
SERGANT HIGHWAY IS HIT
Really enjoy how much more tactical the AG battles are compares to skirmish and multi, much more fun for me
Will definitely buy this once I have wrapped my head around the different micro compared to SD2, looks incredible.
That was a lot of t-80 kills in 2nd battle. Nice tank traps.
Thanks!
Unfortunately AI is still really kinda stupid, elite mode is just vehicles rushing you on a main road
Btw you had American recon from the start under recon platoon, all good tho😃
Nice
Let's goooo
Maybe they could try attacking another area
The fact that the T-55s stand any chance against Abrams shows how arcadey this game is. In reality, a single Abrams could easily take out half a company of T-55s without more than a scratch, as evidenced by the Gulf War.
Several T-55s can definitely harm an Abrams at close range IRL, which is exactly how it works ingame
Superb play... though Im not sure why soviets pushed so many targets down the kill zones. On the other hand... maybe I should not be suprised. I come from Poland. My father had to serve in army - as a conscript, not regular - and everybody said that the army we had, while large, and quite rich with equipment, was an amateur army, since nobody really cared about doing some real training, it mostly a drill for sake of a drill. This was not the army capable of doing any sophisticated stuff...
how long are the campaigns
Long. If you play all the battles the campaigns combined are easily 60-80 hours of content.
@@RahpaSmurf is it worth getting and playing while I wait for broken arrow
I am biased as I enjoy the game a lot but yes is absolutely worth it. Broken arrow is a different kind of wargame. I am going to play and enjoy both. The two are not mutually exclusive. I have yet to play Broken Arrow for obvious reasons but watching gameplay of it and my time in warno they are quite different in execution. There are things I like in both and dislike in both but overall both are and will be excellent rts wargames.
You keep forgetting to deploy logistics at the start
I was a dragon gunner for a time during my time in the army.... 1988/2011
Pact commander after ramming outdated T-55s into entrenched modern MBTs for the seventh time doesn't work:
😐
They say insanity is making the same mistake over and over again expecting a different result XD
Please new series.
AI is beyond sad. Lost all hope atm.
Game looks beautiful, oh boy oh boy I wish Eugen doesn't turn it into a DLC milking machine! Aaaand thats already happened. Fun game, (it seems), just hate the overpriced dlcs they're giving us.
The only dlc you can currently buy is the early access divs and the season pass, all of the campaigns and most of the divs come with the base game.
@@grimguy7905 Yeah, I know, but they'll be giving us more dlcs so, I guess if I would really want them I would get them during a sale. Thanks
The extra divs are okay priced at $10 for two. The expansions usually come with 4 divs plus 2 campaigns and is well worth 24ish. The campaigns are quite long each and if going by SD2 they will get even larger in scope.
I wish this game wasn’t based on such a terrible fundamental mechanics. Fastest clicker and most adhd player always wins, which is super lame.
Not really, just that there's so much to pay attention to. I'd recommend pausing and using slow motion alot until you get the hang of things enough to play normally
you can use slowmotion or pausing button
Wrong. It's about unit strategy, fast clicking obviously is a part of the game. But fast clicking with the wrong units and you're dead.
I dont play warno so forgive me the dumb question, but are you unable to replenish losses?
Correct
Yes, you can resupply units with logistical vehicles, and helicopters. They refill manpower, ammo, smokelaunchers and all that.
@@frederickliebergreen670 That being said once a tank, helicopter, or entire infantry unit is dead, it's gone for good with no way of bringing it back.
