Season 2 of Design and Manage will premiere next Wednesday! I will be present when it goes live to answer all your questions via chat while you watch the video, so make sure to set a reminder and not miss it!
First : what made you take A YEAR to start the next series😭 without even giving news or keeping us updated? Anyway, as a legendary personn said, ********* FINALLY!!!😃
Literally just checked your page on here, and your Twitter today to see if there had been any new updates. Watched the entire D&M series. Can't wait to see what this season brings. Besides plenty of fires.....🔥
@@ConnorMcCrary with the new series x and ps5 now is a great time for some mods. Maybe just some minor ones for quality of life like the 81 tiles mod. Road anarchy. TMPE. Nothing major. Just some nice quick mods to make life easier. Should be handled well by the new consoles
I have two questions about your design choices that I'm interested in hearing your comments on: - Why not use your first bridge for separating your traffic? - Since you needed to build a long pipeline for the sweage, why not make use of the same pipeline for water intake?
@@andrewboardman2654 not sure but I think at the time he didn’t have the DLC that allowed for it. Least not the one you can get early game. Could be wrong but that’s only logical thing I can think of.

BRILLIANT!!! Love your no mod series, and how you actually prove your methods with the in game info tools to show it not only works but looks realistic too 👌🏻
Name the city Targetton. Using your UA-cam name as name of the founder of the village (T4rget) with the old English suffix of “ton” to denote a township.

Hi, T4rget! I'm glad to see you back! Even though I didn't get to watch the entire season 1 yet, you inspired me a lot for my cities in this game and learned a lot through practice as well. That's why I have a few suggestions/ideas for things from this episode: 1) at 9:05 you could have placed the next parallel water pipe by skipping that road to the next; doing so you wouldn't have overlapped water coverage from the two pipes = efficiency + cost reduction overall. 2) With the last update Sunset Harbor, we now have a new inland sewage drain facility that can be placed in a polluted area (like industrial or the garbage landfill) and you can also save the water from pollution; cost and maintenance have the same values like the water drain. 3) on this kind of spots like the one at 9:27, my personal approach is to not zone those tiles because it is very likely to build an intersection there or to extend the road network or to simply place a small bunker in the future (which is 2x3 tiles) or connect some pedestrian pathway; the same goes for placing service buildings: I avoid destroying houses (except if I'm doing a major development in the city (like a huge interchange or a monument); I wouldn't like to be evicted from my house just to have a fire station built over which could have been placed on the empty space on the other side of the road. I hope these ideas will help you manage and enjoy your cities better in the future, as I did from your videos. Stay healthy my friend!
This is an immensely helpful series because: 1. I've watched this video twice, building my city while watching every few seconds repeatedly 2. The music isn't overpowering 3. TG sounds like a non-English, but still great at English, distant relative of Bob Ross 4. The tips are actually helpful 5. The video isn't rushed You've just gained a new subscriber.
I've just started playing C:S again, after about four years and have found this thanks to a recommendation on one of my videos. Starting a new city is the most difficult thing to do when you've forgotten how everything works so your video has been very useful, nicely paced, instructive and focused on the important stuff. Thank you!
I agree! One important difference between this and the starting strategy "the battery", where all starting zones are bunched together, is that this includes some spacing which enables future expansion and traffic management.
Prominent feature of this map is the winding river, so my suggestion would be to call it Snake River. I assume you will employ a lot of the new Sunset Harbor DLC fishing industries, so something water related makes sense.
I've always struggled with building a new city. I know this series will give me a great thinking design to approach any kind of build. Looking forward to following your series!
I like your approach, very thoughtful and strategic. I’m kinda new to this game, had only 10 hours of play time, but watched lots and lots of videos. You are not rushing anything while still making constant progress. That makes it easy to follow and enjoyable to watch.
I really like the name Mediolanum. Its the old name of Milan and it means “place within the rivers / within the planes” and this quite suites the map you are using as well! @t4rget thank you so much for doing this over again... I’ve been missing it a lot!
I love how you give some empty spaces in residential areas where you could decorate them with assets later on in the build! Also, I see that you are making overpasses a lot in your builds which is something you made me wanna try in my cities lol I'm very inspired. thank you
One of the best vanilla ‘Skylines builders out there, returns. I learned so much from D&M S1, & City of Gardens that I’ve carried through to how i play. Really looking forward to this.
Thank you. Feel like I've learnt a lot today. Just started playing on console. And I went to hard to quick. Went bankrupt within days. Small industrial, and housing. Then build it slowly. Thank you
I have no words to explain how happy this series return has made me :D I wanted to ask if you'll revisit the concept of road hierarchy in this series. I really liked your explanation in the previous season but didn't you see using it too much by the end of the season :(
Dude. Your Video is So Amazing, I enjoyed Every second of it. I just get a New Computer from My Brother, and he have this game... And I don't know what to do.. your video is helpfull and My Dyslexia happy watching your video.
Not sure if someone already mentioned but if you need to make pipes go far anyway, might as wel go for the water pump and put is slightly away from the drain (do keep the water flow). It wouldn't cost any more extra if you keep them close enough.
I've been playing for a couple of years but your money saving tips like dirt roads and adjusting the budget were new to me. It makes me want to do a city without the money apps I usually use just to avoid the hasssle.
OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been waiting for this a LONG time Love you target !!!! keep up the amazing content!!!! Now let me go watch the video :p
So excited for Design and Manage to be back and can't wait what creative vanilla designs you will amaze us with this time. Minor nitpick: you said that the water tower is more expensive to build but has the same upkeep. That's not exactly true: the pumping station has double the capacity for the same upkeep (120k vs 60k water capacity for 240/week), making the pumping station far more efficient even including the extra cost of pipes. I think the main purpose of the water towers is to be easier on the water flow once you get to having a lot of pumping stations.
This is true and I guess I didn't explain it to the full extent. In the future I will optimise the water system for efficiency and water towers will have to go, but for now I wanted to build as few pipes and power lines as possible for less maintenance costs.
