Nice ebike. It is indeed a cost-effective choice, after comparing a series of electric bikes.
Very good Independence Day sale at Hipeak. For some reason, this name reminds me of antifreeze 😁
🤣🤣
Quality & affordability is here in this E-bike ❤️❤️
👍
Fun looking bike. I like the two colors. The style is similar to my folding bike. I wish mine was a 750W motor. But mine has hydraulic brakes and “mag” wheels. I think the HiPeak would be great for someone just starting out and they could fold it and take it places. Yes, my bike is about 63 pounds too. I sure hope to get out today. We have had thunderstorms and lots of rain the past few days. Have a great day, Russ. (Ah, yes. Thinking about it, you certainly have put together lots of ebikes!)
We have bad air today. Smoke blowing our way from Canadian fires.
@@RussIsRightwe had that about a week ago. Fortunately it only lasted about 3 days. Poor Canada and all its wildfires.
I may need to get one of those 55 gallon totes for my folding ebike. I have not tried that yet. My ebike does have folding pedals.
@@Marilynlovesebiking Easier to slide into the car with the box. Two people makes it much easier too.
Darn, I just checked our air quality on the weather app and it is code red for us here too. I may still go out for just a few minutes. I’ll stay close to home.
Russ, at 20:57 there is a dead, black screen in the video for a several seconds, till 21:42.
Nice looking bike.
I have this bike. You can go into the settings and get the MPH to 25
Yes, I updated the description a couple of days ago about it.
Nice looking bike with an attractive price, especially considering the two battery pick! I wonder if the controller can be set up at class 3?
Only Class 2
I just bought two of these ! Haven’t put them together yet !
Have fun!
Are you still using it? How has it been a a couple of months later? Notice any issues?
The HiPeak site indicates the Elias can be a class 3 with speed up to 28mph. Can you verify if the adjustment can be made in the display as is common with other brands? Thanks. I enjoy your posts.
I will check.
It won't go to 28 mph, but you can program it to go to 25.5 mph. It is in the P0-8 setting. Set that to "41" and it will go to 25.5 mph.
Thanks for checking.
Not a bad deal I guess. But I recommend people to get a bike with better options like brakes just easier to resale if you don't like the bike
Looks like a knockoff from an Aventon. That seat especially! My concern with a knockoff is lack of Quality Assurance, imho.
Can you please tell me the seat at it's lowest from seat to ground how many inches? I might be to short for this bike but I really like this bike. I own a Electric 2.0.
I sold the bike so I don’t have it to measure.
@@RussIsRight Okay..
I rode my friend E-bike 20mph is fast on a bike. She had a nasty fall and hasn't worked up the courage to get back on the bike.
Oh, sorry to hear your friend had a nasty spill. I agree, for me 20mph is a bit fast on my 20” wheel bike. I ride about 12-15mph the most. I hope she gets back on soon. We all take a spill once in awhile. It’s all part of learning the bike and how to ride it.
@@Marilynlovesebiking I'm trying to put a positive spin on it but it may take awhile to convince her. I'm waiting for the smoke to clear so I can clean out my garage so I can order one.🙂
Do you still use the hipeak bike?
How is it after months later?
Have you noticed any decrease in battery life?
The Hipeak was sold to a friend’s neighbor.
@@RussIsRight oh. Was there anything wrong with it before you had sold it?
@detectiveben1 No. I just have too many ebikes.
What do you use to carry an extra battery?
How’s the cadence sensor on the e-bike? Do you have to have one full revolution on the pedal in order for the motor to kick in?
Can’t recall.
@@RussIsRight oh what about the current e-bikes you are using now? How’s the cadence sensor on those?
@detectiveben1 Many do not need a full rotation. If you are asking me what else to consider that is similar to this bike, check out the Magicycle Jaguarundi. You might like that bike as well.
@@RussIsRight oh because I’m looking at the wildeway e-bike. It has a 32 amp battery.
It needs a full rotation for the motor to kick in. Do you know if a full rotation is inconvenient or is that pretty normal??
@detectiveben1 Many do not prefer that but others like it so that they are not surprised at a quick responding jerking of the bike as it takes off.
Hi Russ, can you recommend a quality set of folding pedals? Maybe post a link? Thanks
I bought these for my wife's folding bike: amzn.to/3pspEDo
Thank you
The Jaguarundi's red-headed step sister. There, I said it. 😉
🤣
I've looked into this bike and there is a way to get it up to 25. Do a little research.
Yes, I moved it to 25 mph
How do you turn on the front light?
I don't have one with me currently, but usually it is from holding down the up button on the PAS controller. Try that.
Very Nice ebike
Does it fold
Yes it does.
Air Quality is not looking very good.
Terrible today.
It's the Canadian wildfires.
@@danmcqueen5295 Yes it is! You can smell it too!
