I got both for Christmas one year I couldn't wait to play with them,and yes I still have them along with my other tmnt. I almost forgot that I still had them I couldn't believe how much some of these figures are going for. I'm so glad that threw all these years I managed to still have them.
I love these things, the colors alone are enough to make me feel like I'm back in the day getting ready to watch Saturday morning cartoons.

These were two of the first things i got when I started recollecting TMNT. Love the the look of them. Also David Arshawsky (one of the TMNT toy designers) had also did some drawings of a Mega Mutant army ant and a mega mutant spider. Both looked pretty cool. I definitely wish they would have made more. Great video Ed! Keep em coming.

Love both of these guys, I'm so cramped as far as space I've got my needle nose sitting on top of my party wagon. Wish I had those boxes.
They do take up a lotta display space 🤔
I had no idea that these toys existed so early in the tmnt toy line. I always thought they were later entries. It's too bad they weren't showcased in the actual show.
Killer bee would have been so rad to have in the cartoon!

These are awesome! I never knew they made these. I guess with the success of Battle Cat and Panthor I guess Playmates felt their toy line needed some cool creatures to ride (or fly) on. I don't have a mutant combination off the top of my head but if I think on one I'll post it here.

They could have done a whole fleet of these Mega-Mutants, using military vehicles as a basis: Killer Bee and Needle Nose are kind of like a helicopter and a jet fighter respectively, but they could have done like an eagle bomber, an armadillo tank, a shark battleship, a whale carrier, etc etc

@@EdsRetroGeekOut Yeah have him be like the counter to a whale carrier, who is allied with the turtles, and Needle Nose can launch off of the carrier while the shark can host Killer Bee like on a launch pad...I'm over thinking it but make it a whole line like!
I would have liked to have seen a shrimp character, but not just any shrimp but a mantis shrimp. Maybe they could have done like a boxing shrimp mutant lol. But instead of being human sized it should have stayed fairly small and everyone would have underestimated him cause of his small stature but he packs one hell of a punch!

A spider would make a really cool and really creepy Mega Mutant figure. It would have an action feature where you could rear it up on it's 4 back legs, and it would shoot a web shaped missile from it's thorax.

Hey man, just started watching your vids after watching your live stream with Tom and Aaron. A cool little video on 2 excellent toys. My mutant would have been a big muscle bound British Bulldog, an overseas good guy that the Turtles could call on. Take care mate...

Would have been so cool if they were in the original series. To answer your question, I would say a jellyfish/eel hybrid. Let’s call him “Zap ‘Em”. And he would look like a humanoid eel but with translucent Jellyfish scales. My take on the character would be he’s this creature made by Krang & Shredder to be the latest and greatest weapon against the turtles due to his electric shock attacks. He goes with Bebop & Rocksteady to the sewers to fight the four brothers. After shocking all four of the turtles at once he sees how painful it was to them and feels empathy. The turtles see this and lay their weapons down as a show of good faith to him and he realizes that the people he’s been associated with were horrible not the turtles. And he shocks Bebop and Rocksteady and sends them packing. He eventually finds a purpose helping out poor families who can’t afford electricity. Sorry to be so long here wanted to be really detailed.

Great video! I need to track these two down. I think a Mutant tarantula would’ve been a cool addition to this line. Each leg could have a different weapon attachment, and the figure could be filled with ooze to spit out like venom.

It would have been nice to see a Polar Bear who was a military character or a Pig who is mad scientist and cyborg and finally a Rooster who could be a gangster, but not really sure what I would want the Rooster to be. Bebop is already a Pig like character I guess but he is a Warthog. A shark would have been cool, I found that in the cartoon all the new mutants that were introduced, most of them were aquatic in some way, which was kinda boring.

I can't find an English video on UA-cam and there is one in Spanish. It would be cool if playmates released more vintage stuff and did some concept vintage Turtles . Thanks
