I love how this list came out 3 years before Shredder's Revenge, and it's more relevant than ever. Next couple of years is going to be big for turtles. Read Last Ronin.
Ronon was good
90% of all the characters only came out once and never came out again that's why a lot people don't remember them
Mhm. True, true.
I think it was the biggest flaw of the original cartoon. They should have had less villains with more appearances.
The Best is LeatherHead.... " I Garonteee " !
KRAANG!!
You betchaa i guaranteee
Not going to lie, I forgot about a lot of those villains. But Baxter Stockman was always one of my favorite TMNT villains.
Baxter Stockman had a twin brother named Barney.
Dexter Spackman?
@@josephclegg3562 I didnt know that thanks
@@nightmarebb7987 who is Dexter Spackman?
@@erdemuykan9219 Barney Stockman appears in the 87 TMNT cartoon series. His only appearance is in the season 4 episode "Rapheal Knocks Em Dead".
Tokka and Rahzar made the cartoon!? I had no idea.
Me either!
Yup!! But as independent threats. They were created with the same mutagen that created Groundchuck and Dirtbag. The episode was loosely based on the fallout from that, though there was hidden agenda too.
Whoa. What was the hidden agenda?
@@JohnDWJ Oh, all right. :) Even though it would spoil the episode. A billionaire hires a mutant hunter to clean the streets of all mutants, even the Turtles and their friends. Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Mondo Gecko and two of the punk frogs are captured. It's later revealed that the billionaire was a geneticist and his head was accidentally cross mutated with a slug; so now he wants to lead the mutants in an uprising and make the citizens their slaves.
Ha! Wonderful. What time to be alive. Do you happen to know what season that was? Gonna have to go exploring.
Great list, didn't know 83% of these guys
Same here.
Right, turtles got more bad guys than dick tracy
Me either.
my bro had Anthrax' figure.
Amature.
Chrome Dome was one of my favorite action figures. Metalhead was a good guy by the time I was collecting, and Playmates couldn't seem to pick a side for Wingnut & Screwloose, as some packages would depict them on the "good" side, whereas others would depict them on the "bad" side. The same went for a few others like Mutagen Man, Pizza Face (who I think ended up officially being bad), and Muckman & Joe Eyeball.
Never realized just how many human villains were on the show. So many mad scientists.
I remember SLASH. Wished he were in more of the episodes..
Wasn't Slash Bebop's pet turtle before he mutated?
@@josephclegg3562 Well In The 2012 It was Raph's But 90's Idk
@@josephclegg3562 yes
I agree, three episodes really does not seem like much, when you compare it the number of appearances by The Rat King, Leather Head, Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady and Bebop. Still his 1990's action figure was cool and he even appeared in the arcade video game Turtles In Time as well.
@@JB0071051982 Slash's '90s action figure was badass, yeah. I do NOT remember him in the cartoon.
We also had the Swatter, who was really just a nerdy guy posing as a Shredder knockoff. He only had one episode, as did many of the villains featured in the video.
The human villains sucked. The mutant villains were all that mattered. The shows cast really started to tank with the last 3 seasons. Season 1 and 2 had the best animation and were a little dark at times👍
What about shredder
So much nostalgia. Thank you for taking the time to make this 👏
Wow, I had forgotten there were so many human villains in the show.
I know right??
Shredder krang bebop rocksteady and lord dreg
Bebop rocksteady tokka and rahzar
@@LauraLegends Some Villains originated from the comics (a few, like Leatherhead, weren't really villians, technically), some were loosely based on a concept from the comics (Krang is based on one of the Utroms from the comics, except Krang is evil) some were original (Bebop and Rocksteady, who were created by David Wise and Peter Laird, the latter of whom was the very reason why the Fred Wolf variant was more present Turtles Forever than in the 2012 Nick series), and some were bad additions (Don Turtelli's original design, not shown in the video, would make for an intimidating character; his second design, that was in the video, does not. Also Lord Dreg is a moron for saying he's evil, then later say he isn't, like he's a modern day politician).
@@zorayachavez7100 and don't forget about Groundchuck and Dirtbag
This makes me want to pop in the DVD's and watch them all right now!
Me too some of the DVD’s only have 3-4 episodes it’s so annoying
"This Raptor guy, does he have a beak or a nose?"
"Yes"
Slash is criminally under rated.
Shredder was the funniest but I always liked slash.... prehistoric turtlesaurus 👊
Yeah, I noticed shredders revenge features quite a few of the old cast 👍
This took me back to my childhood, where I'd watch this EVERY morning before school, thank you
I loved Don Turtelli and The Rat King. They were underrated in my opinion.
Don gave up on April too fast. Have his partner get her other foot, and she would have lasted another minute at best.
This video is like a time capsule. Shredder's Revenge had a lot of bosses I hadn't known. This is what I call doing your homework. Nice video!
That’s another reason I love that game. It shines light on characters most ppl don’t know or talk about! It was cool to see some of them get addressed. Though most of the bosses are/should be known
The only villain from SR I didn't recognize was Tempestra.
@@TeddXplosion Given she only appeared once, I can see why
YES ! Thank you for this vid.
❤️
I forgot how many throw away villians there were. Krang and shredder are my favorites. Bebop and rock steady the best henchmen.
I did nor realize there were so many villains. Thank you for putting the video together.
Granitor, Pizzaface, Tattoo, Scumbug, Scrag, Wingnut and Screwloose, Mondo Gecko (started as a villain), Hothead are the ones missing off the top of my head... wish they would've included Armaggon and Tora in the cartoons too
I knew some were missing on the list .
Napoleon bonafrog and Casey Jones were brief enemies
So many garbage villains, so many mobsters. Thanks for the info
Triceratons footclan and krang will always be the most famous villians
@@seagawk1254 what about shredder and baxter stickman?
@@erdemuykan9219 yeah the foot clan as shredder is the leader and baxter in most terms ends up working for him now
Leatherhead, Slash, and the Rock soldiers are pretty popular as well. Though I also enjoyed Titanus. I liked his plot of trying to get the turtles to side with him by claiming to help all Mutants. Granted he was an obvious rip off of Magneto from X-men, I think he has potential to be rebooted in a modern tmnt story or show. I could see him being a separate antagonist from Shredder and Krang.
Love the epic music you played for the video!
Shredder is the all time favourite for me of this series and in 80s is better represented than the Michael Bay films
Bay RUINED the Turtles with those movies.
@@RetroCrunch Bay's films were not that great, but they weren't completely terrible overall. If you can get over the horrible design of the turtles, and that horrible fart joke they threw in, the first film is okay. The second film is even better, but it still doesn't come close to the original trilogy. However, The CGI animated film was easily the worst TMNT movie of all time. It was just super boring, and the turtles looked like frogs. It's only saving grace was the Leo vs. Raph fight on the roof.
1. Shredder and Krang
2. The Ratking
3. Baxter Stockman
4. Leatherhead
The first Michael Bay film was complete trash, but I was actually really impressed by the second one- it actually feels like it was made for the fans, and feels like it tried to undo a lot of the crap that was hated about the first one. Go into it with a chill, open mind and expect a dumb live-action cartoon and it's actually pretty decent if you're a Turtles fan.
IAM THE BEST!
Never got to see some these villians on screen until now thank you!!!
Nicely done.
Killer vid chickie. Have a killer holiday weekend, and be safe!
🤘👽🤘
Krang barely edges out shredder for me(rip james avery)...they are both hilarious to me! Thank you for uploading this you are the bestess
Thanks for upload, you have a nice voice Laura. :P TMNT rocks!
Awesome great work
Shredder was my biggest villan! Good work laura!
Holy shit lost childhood memories are rushing through my head! Awesome video!
Thanks for the video..Krang was the most iconic antogonist in early days of ninja turtles, from what i remembered
Great video bye the way your videos are awsome and your an awsome youtuber
Great video
You had,Traag/Tragg, but forgot Granitor. 😢
Exactly, there was no Lt. Granitor on the list.
@Samarpit Makwana Um, yeah there was. That's where he first appeared. Look it up, & do some research.
@Samarpit Makwana No, he was Granitor. Trust me, I know. ;)
I WILL KILL THE TURTLES AND CONQUER THE THE WORLD!!
This is awesome must have taken forever to put together awesome. :) I'm always amazed at how many villains were human when the mutants were the best part. Out of all the stupid "cosplay and gimmick turtle toys we got you think they could have made more of the figures we seen in the show..... Thanks for making this. :) chrome dome slash and dirtbag were some of my favorites
Great work
Laura! This was my jam as a kid! Love it. 💜
I love ur choice of music for this video
I found this randomly and decided to watch it because I always remembered this cartoon on TV,I always remembered the theme song and I remembered the villain playing a piano that can destroy the city with the sound waves and I remembered Leonardo constantly playing video games in a arcade and how the other turtles were telling each other Leonardo’s playing a video game and he couldn’t stop and it was giving him bad dreams and there was this voice coming from the video games and the games turned into monsters of Electricity, Ice and i think other elements too, this was all before I saw this video and so I decided to see what their names were again and I found them, Maestro and Tempestra, wow I can’t believe I forgot their names but these villains were pretty devastating in my opinion, thanks for showing this so I could see
Baxter The Fly was always one of my favourites as a kid.
Hearing the voice of the late great Tony Jay really takes me back to the Weekdays mornings and Saturday Morning Cartoons days, miss it them days man!!
Outside of pretty much the animal-themed villains, I forgot literally every one except shredder.
Great stuff, TURTLE POWER!!!!
You have me wanting to watch TMNT now. My favorite was the 1987 version of the Rat King.. Lol I cant tell you why he's always been my favorite as a kid because I dont remember why I liked him. Looking back now I think he was just underrated as he couldve done some real damage just by being able to control Splinter.. ::sigh:: Memories lol
What is up with Rahzar's voice?! Mister Oog's laugh sounded like Pee Wee Herman.
Sounds like the announcer for Toonami
Cowabunga!!! Great video!!!
So, This is the classic villains of Mutant Teenage Ninja Turtles
Oh man! I haven't seen the very first TMNT cartoon in such a long time, I don't remember many of those enemies, but a lot of them came back in the Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles cartoon, which was a super series in my opinion, and even Tokka and Razhar appeared in the Ninja Turtles 2 movie, Secret of the Ooze. Cool video, Laura! XXX
I had so many of the toys! Love this!
missing quite a few characters.....but not too shabby
You forgot Mutagen man.. Cool vid though!
He's the turtles allie
So was metalhead I think?
@Samarpit Makwana but he did turn good right?
Leatherhead well always be my favorite "I guarantee"
Kind of low on female villians in the show
Too bad there wasn't more of Shreeka.
Tempestra and Medusa.
Poor Baxter. No one else suffered like him.
Good job nice
I wish that Tora and Shogun from "TMNT II:The Arcade Game" made an appearance. Well, a lot of characters from the video games should've been on the show. Any of the other characters should've been one-time only.
I WA waiting for this video
My favorite villian out of all them that I've seen when I was a kid is always the Shredder.
I WILL KILL THE TURTLES AND CONQUER THE THE WORLD!!
You missed some big ones like Granitor, the pizza monsters, Dirk Savage and Scumbug.
Wow your have your iconic ones then your typical Saturday morning cartoon villains
i forgot about so many of these! I was just old enough for this to be cool then uncool ..still think these are great villains!
Killer pizzas, Krang clones, the computer that helped Baxter Stockman in some episodes
You forgot Z, the pandimensional spacecraft computer
You missed Scumbug. He only appeared in the same episode as Antrax, Night of the Rogues. But you still did an excellent job on this.
I missed the Pizza Aliens
We had only the first few seasons here in Australia so much of these I wasn't even aware of
Ya'll were ripped off!
Nice. I always looking for some video or something that could contain them all . The games and movies makers should really watch this before they attempt to make another TMNT work
I remember watching TMNT when it was on during the morning, afternoon, and early Saturday mornings. They made so many episodes, even I can't keep up, the T.V. networks moved the cartoon to different channels... I missed this cartoon. I wonder they have it on DVD all seasons. Shredder's Revenge game is a Masterpiece!! Takes me back from playing the classic Konami arcade games. Games such as Hyperstone Heist (Genesis), and Turtles in Time (arcade/SNES). Hope they'll have new DLC soon.
I had every action figure of the turtles and villains, plus the special addition versions like the tiptoe turtles and the ripcoard versions
I WILL KILL THE TURTLES AND CONQUER THE THE WORLD!!
@@johnnysalazar5399 I WILL KILL THE TURTLES AND CONQUER THE THE WORLD!!
Yes they do have the whole series in a big box set I bought mine from Walmart it has every season.
After the first 10 or so villains I was lost , didn’t recognize anyone
Only one I really new after was slash
Damn those were a lot of villains
Im sure you are missing a few villains here and there but good video
Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop, Rat king, Leatherhead, Krang all are good.
I would have to say Slash is my favorite only because he was my favorite vintage TMNT figure next to Mutagen Man and the giant Krang toy.
I was a huge turtle fan but I dont remember half of those villains. Trash rouge gallary besides the classic villains.
Same.
They came and went according to Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. They had a ton of ideas for unique villains.
Cool 😎
one of my favorite cartoons ever
Cool
I never realized so many villains were just ordinary humans, Rat King, Shredder, and Tatsu (whom isn't on the show, only movies) are the only human bad guys that made the video games, with good reason it looks like.
Most of these human villains I never even heard of. However, I did miss out on the original TMNT early and mid 90s cartoons, so I guess the jokes on me.
Also, they forgot to add General traag’s second in command rock soldier granitor. Maybe even the cyborgs of Bebop and Rocksteady as well as The Mousers.
Just saying.
I've seen less than 2 or 2 1/2 seasons worth. The network kept moving the airtime around by the 2nd or 3rd season. And every time I'd figure out when it was on, the next week or so, they'd move the show again! Eventually, I could no longer find a trace of the show. I had no idea the show went till 1996 until a few years ago when I discovered epguides. I always thought the show ended with season 3.
@@Psychof1st Thanks to DVD, I was able to watch the final three seasons in full. I must say the red sky episodes might not be for everyone, I enjoyed them. Also, I think that it pretty neat that at the time of the airing of the final episode in 1996 TMNT held the record for the longest running American cartoon series until The Simpsons aired their 200th show in 1998.
@@JB0071051982 It was a real mind freak when I learned of tmnt's long run!
And then another mind freak came when I learned the turtles went through a second mutation of sorts in a later season.
There were images but, that could be faked I guess. So, I wonder now, if that is true about their second mutation in the '80s- '96 show?
Did not realize that a good chunk of the bad guys where just villainous old men, lol
It would be cool to see a video on Real Ghostbusters as well
Picked up a Thunder Punch He-Man a few weeks ago :), it's now my favorite toy, soo awesome and not safe LOL :)
The Turtles had way to many enemies.
I like that in the early incarnations, LEATHER HEAD, SLASH, WINGNUT, SCREW LOOSE, and METAL HEAD BECAME ALLIES
Wow! Forgot about most of these villians! Shredder and Kragg though have the funniest villain relationship ever!
This vid reminded me that I had Groundchuck (the red bull-dude) as a toy, but I don't remember his episodes at all. I like the design, though.
uncle Phil as the shredder lol
It must have taken a lot of work to make this video. I can't even remember many of these!
Dr. Mindbender? Did Hasbro allow the name of a G. I. Joe villain to be used for a TMNT villain?
It's actually supposed to be Professor Mindbender. And he was one of the better scientist villains. That was quite the scheme. Surely, the mayor would've been smart enough not to believe a pledge to "end all crime for good". And it's the better of the Rex-1 appearances.
I posted the same thing! even professor mindbender is a legal team issue lol
When I was a kid, my favourite members of the villain duos were Rocksteady and Rahzar.
Now, I prefer Bebop and Tokka. How time changes us...
The Turtles: "Turtles fight with honor!"
Shredder: "But I fight dirty!" [Pulls gun]
Shredder #1
Tokka and Rahzar were in the original cartoon?!?!😱😱😱
Slash was my favorite, but mainly because of the toy design. Looked so different in the show, but I do remember an episode where there was a character that resembled his toy design. Does anyone have an idea which character that might be?
This video is 3 years old and im just now finding. Why????
I know you try to share this videos the most you can so don't care if you can't download clips or anything , yeah it will be more worked but the intention is there and you done correctly and the best you can so don't be sorry about this little details , because you do your best and that i notice
Beebop and Rocksteady are the classics, but I always had a special place for Wingnut.
