- My newest ambassador... Porkchop is 15 weeks old. I acquired her from Baker Street Hedgehogs (Instagram Baker_street_hedgehogs) on July 10. I kept her name since it suits her!

Porkchop is camera shy 🤭
We get echidnas in Australia. I'm yet to handle a hedgehog or see one in their natural habitat.
She's a sweet lil hedgehog, even though she's spiky. :)
I love hedgehogs (my girlfriend is even more crazy about them), this animal is shy for 30 seconds and then feels right at home. I've been treating (removing ticks and applying a treatment) hedgehogs around my home in the Paris region for over twenty years. They may growl, but I've never been bitten. The funny thing is that the hedgehog parents teach the little ones that I'm harmless. In the evening, around 10pm, the little family waits for me on the lawn. The smallest ones I found were the ones in the 3rd photo.

@patcats1743 - LOL, close but not a porcupine. Not even a rodent. They have been around for 15 million years and haven't changed much. I would love a porcupine though but have enough animals now!
I'm sorry. I didn't know. I overlooked someone else's comment otherwise I could have known. Duh. I petted a😮 opossum once -- by mistake. I reached in our wooden heated cat box one cold night thinking it was our porch cat curled up in there. Did a double take as the fur didn't quite feel feline-ish. 😮😄
@patcats1743 - No apologies necessary. It made me realize that the video doesn't mention she's a hedgehog. My mistake. Wow, that must have been a shock to feel an opossum instead of a cat! Lol. God bless you for putting a heated house out for the felines.

@cj1400 - Mealworms or crickets, hedgehog dry food or good cat food. Some will eat fruits too.

Bernie is a British Woman who had captured Max a Female Lynx of Toronto Tribe as the Queen Lynx. Conservation Officers of Lake Simcoe went and freed Max and put her with the King and Knights Lynxes in the wild in the Holland Watershed where Max had first been captured. The hedgehog was a replacement for the British Woman who had extradition orders from Immigration Canada overdue from 13 years ago. This is often the problem of the capture of Wild Animals. The Government Staff of Canada has to free them from captivity so the Wild Animals can be with their Mates again. The wild animals in Canada are responding as Wild Animals to be friendly on their homeland. Max was freed and the Knight of Toronto Tribe who freed her was well treated by Max. Max was being forcefed chicken when in captivity which is not the natural diet of Lynx and was freed to act as a Nonfeeding Lynx that is free to hunt rabbit on occasion every month. The Lynx dont eat every day. Max was overfed by being given catfood twice a day. There is a natural life of wild animals and people as Native Indians also need to adopt the lifestyle in Canada to be with their wild animals in nature. There is a natural communion between wild animals and wild people. So be assured that Max is a wild Lynx as a Bobcat in nature again and is with her Mates again. @Liz-ig6xo - For some reason my comment didn't process. Anyways, it's been awful here with the rain and humidity and crazy hot weather. Plus we are getting smoke from the Canada fires. It makes it hard to breathe.
