This is a super fun video to watch as you put this model through it's paces Adam! I'll tell you, and I've said this from the start, HH nailed it with this model; fantastic looks, amazing flight character, and really good value. Now that it's discounted, this represents an amazing bargain. If you don't have one in your hangar, NOW is the time! Blue skies my brother!!
Hats off to Heidi for making this D-18 stand out with her amazing artwork!! and camera work. Nice "fun" flying Adam, I hope that it hasn't become a work thing for you 😂. It'll be good to see what you have in mind for the D-18, I'll be looking out for it. AirHammer out!!
Another awesome Upload! That is one beautiful Aircraft, and watching you fly it was relaxing. Big thanks to you for that awesome flight, and Mrs Heidi for filming! Hope y'all have a great day and wonderful weekend! 👍🏼🤙🏼
Nice work Adam! It's a beautiful aircraft that you showcase very well. We personally hate that the audience on YT is so small for this model. It's hard to find anyone getting any views posting it.
Glad you got a chance to just fly for fun.. That plane is such a unique rc plane. I do see a few at my club and they are always enjoyable to watch.. That classic era of aviation... Good flying my friend...
Adam you flying is awesome the plane looks great I like the part where you took off and the big jet sound came in with your rake off and flight perfect timing good job 😃👍👍
I can't believe I am the first to like and comment. Great smooth flying, Really enjoyed watching, especially the buttery smooth touch and go. Keep up the excellent work!
Hi Adam, A$840 bnf. Just posted my Full Twin Timber video & you have a spot in it as does your brother from the Ozarks😂🤪 Goodness me you can fly well even in that heat you are having. Is there a commercial airport nearby? Have a great night buddy
Holy cow! $$$! I'll check the Twimber vid out! Lol. Yep, Hartsfield Int. is about 15 miles from this club. They are at about 7000 ft and climbing when they go over. The mic makes it sound like they are at 100ft! Lol
Sometimes i laugh as you fly a prop aircraft & it sounds like a jet😀😁 I think it would be a nice gesture if they halted flights until you have finished yours…. I am sure there would be a gesture of some kind from the control tower if you suggested this😆
Excellent flying and presentation from both of you. Love the 'TLC' that Heidi applied with her paint brush! That engine has better shaped detail than anything else I have and the exhaust stacks are good also. Just a whole lot better not being left with a silver color! (Yuck) I painted my engines similar to yours and the exhausts a mottled dark grey to simulate black that has been well oxidized. The only other thing I added was flat black paint to the directional antenna housing on top. All of those type units I have seen photos of were painted black, at least on the military planes I looked at. About the only thing I might add later is a white LED low on the tail. The lights it comes with are GREAT! When it is overhead you can see both the red and green wingtip lights at the same time. Thus I have been able to fly well past sunset with those lights and it's very stable handling. On some of the full sized D 18s I have noticed a pitot tube hanging down below the cockpit area. I might try that also. Anyone that enjoys graceful, scale flying like I do might want to go ahead and buy one of these. If you 'fly the wheels' to the pavement, it makes the sweetest landings ever. I really enjoyed your 'for fun' flight and look forward to your future video!
Excellent flying, Adam! I still have to maiden mine. Brought it up north for 4th of July vacation, but it was too windy the whole week I was there. Been windy ever since I got back, too. Hope to get her in the air soon!
Super flying and filming! I'd love one of these, but it's a tad out of my price range right now. It does look lovely and catches the light in a way I imagine the real thing would.
I don't know which I like better, the Twin Beech or the C-27. The C-27 just reminds me so much of the C-130s I used to fly, and the Twin Beech is just beautiful. I remember seeing them coming and going, when I was a kid, hanging out at the airport. Beech made some other beautiful planes too, like the Staggerwing, Bonanza, Baron, and Duke.
I'm thinking Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders. BOTH! Solves that problem. Lol. I would LOVE about a 55" Staggerwing. In my mind the prettiest general aviation plane ever made. The D18 is up there though...
I'd like a 700mm - 800mm Bonanza and Staggerwing, with flaps and retracts and under 250 grams. That probably sounds impossible right? I don't think it is. Look at the weights of the E-flite Air Tractor and Turbo Timber. They're both 700mm, have flaps, and are well under 200 grams. What do you think?
Hello Adam!!.. just put together the D-18… no problems..couple questions…C.G. Showing 22 mm from wing panel line where wing tip is plugged in… seems way forward!!!! 3/4” from front wing radius… is that what you used???…also , did you add switch to disable thrust vectoring if wanted and if so how did you do that!!!…. Also first counter rotating plane I’ve seen with both prop nuts screwed on clockwise!!… seems like that would allow prop to loosen.. you use any lock tight? .. enjoy all your Videos!!!
Hey man glad you enjoy the channel...thank you! We actually did a review video (Episode 56) and our full set up is in that one. At this point what I've changed since then is I used the Avian programmer to disengage the differential thrust. In that review episode we also show you how to get more rudder throw. I've never used reverse thrust on the D18. The prop nuts seem to be fine so far. Enjoy your D18!
***The D18 now has a lower regular price at Horizon Hobby!*** $50.00 Lower! $399.99 BNF, $369.99 PNP
I hope the EC-1500 gets a lower price in the future. I want one.
WOW!! When Heidi puts her touch on a plane, it POPS!!!! Beautiful bird and flying!! Thanks!!
Thanks! Yep...she is a talented gal!
Adam. Just dusted this one off this past week. What a beautiful scale bird. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. 👍👍😉
Hey brother Brad! Yeah man it is awesome isn't it!
@@ModelAV8RChannel Sure is my friend. 👍

Hey bro thanks! Awesome airplane! BTW, it isn't discontinued, just a price drop due to lower shipping container costs.
@@ModelAV8RChannel Ah, thanks! I'm sorry I misunderstood. Either way, this model is a smoking deal right now!
great flight and good look at the slow flight performance ! like the way the props reflect the sunlight ; very 😎👍👍
Thanks man! She is a great flyer...
Mrs. Heidi did a awesome job on the video. I agree awesome stable aircraft in slow flight. Good job flying.

Much appreciation and respect for your intentional silence during the flight. This was a treat.

Thanks Jeff! Fun little beauty...
Emilia's favorite plane !!!!! Really who don't want this plane to have and have it in his hangar? One from classic beauties of the sky
She flew the Lockhead Electra.
@@earlpoe7570 yes my mistake but looks so same!!!! I just saw it also with her light inside the cockpit, is it together ???? or added ????
It is a classic beauty!
Adam you flying is awesome the plane looks great I like the part where you took off and the big jet sound came in with your rake off and flight perfect timing good job 😃👍👍
Thanks Frank! Yep, that scene worked out...luck, but it worked!
I enjoyed your flight, great footage as Always.
You guys are an amazing Team !!
Note: I really like that Cap !
Thanks Dan! Heidi is amazing. Yeah the hat is cool, we'll offer swag at some point.
Fantastic flight and video - thanks for sharing this!
Thank you Jeffrey!
Looking great Adam!
Thanks man!
The Beechcraft Is definitely one of E-flites best model plane, and beautifully flown and filmed, well done Adam and Heidi 😀👍
Thanks Ian!
Those extra details definitely add to the plane and help make it stand out! Great job guys.
Thanks Trevor!
Nothing wrong with taking some time out for a fun fly and then sharing a video with us Adam
I can't believe I am the first to like and comment. Great smooth flying, Really enjoyed watching, especially the buttery smooth touch and go. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks very much!
Hey Adam & Heidi,
Any aircraft with a detailed cockpit has my vote of approval.
Well flown bro.
I wish the price was cheaper here though .👏👏👏👏👍
Thanks Noel! How much there?

Yep, great deal.
If you grease the wheels, the higher likelihood that you will roll into the grass on landings.
This one is pretty easy to land short.
This is a "Classic" old Bird!! and Now CHEAPER!!!!
It is Joel. One of my favorites!
