Your old photo transitions from old to now are fantastic. They really tell the story of how, in this case, the canal hasn’t changed over the years. I appreciate how time consuming they are to make and get spot on so I just wanted to say thanks, I really appreciate you making them. Xxx

I am so mad at myself for not doing the research that I should have about the canals of England. I lived in the Midlands and East Anglia in 1959 and 1960 but sadly was not aware. My wife and I have since then visited three times but, not being aware, have not taken those opportunities to travel on a Narrow Boat. Thanks to you gentlemen, you are providing us with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the beautiful English countryside from a totally different perspective. We so much look forward to each of your productions.

Interesting about the canal restorations. I used to be involved in the UK rights of ways for vehicles the byways. We had to deal with groups of vested interests set up with the sole purpose of shutting the lanes down; they are still trying. Some local councils are also working hard to close the lanes. The lanes go back sometimes thousands of years to the Roman times.

The canal people of the past had grit for sure and so do the volunteers today! Great vlog as always and very educational.

Hi guys. Wonderful production again this week. You two really are canal royalty 👠 we have been watching some of your subjects!! And there videos are nowhere near as polished and informative. Absolutely love the chemistry you guys have together. Being around each other so much has bonded you and made you an awesome team. I don’t know when I’ve learnt so much so quickly. Much love and respect ✊

There are just so many things to say thank you for... the lovely fades from old photos to current video in the same location, the wonderful changes of camera perspective, the small history lessons, the sunshine, the lovely music in places, the back & forth between you... & the scenery! Thank you!

Hi gents, I really enjoy your videos. One feature of many, if not all, roving bridges is that they are designed so that the horse can remain attached to the boat as the towpath changes sides.

I hadn't realised when our family canal holidays started in 1970 the restorations were just getting going - reminded me of a touring canal theater company we saw then - I googled and found 50 years later they are still going. The Mikron Theater Company. One verse of one song has stuck with me for 50ish years - Navvies Jerusalem... . Bit of a restoration anthem I guess.
Bring me my boots and grappling irons
    Bring me my mighty JCB,
Bring me my spade! O ecstasy,
Bring me a gallon flask of tea,
I will not flinch from seas of mud,
Nor shall my sludge-pump idly stand,
    Till we've restored the waterways
Through England's green and pleasant land.
