My wife and I toured this boat this summer but as my wife has IBS she found she needed a quicker pathway to go from the stern swimming/eating platform to the head. It was very unfortunate. Incredible design nonetheless. Cheers
What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL vessel she is. I am amazed by how well thought out, functional and beautifully appointed the guest areas are, how well designed and executed the engineering and mechanical areas are and how awesome the whole boat is. The perfect choice for a family to use for cruising the Med. Love it!
That interior space is outrageous for a 60 , and the airy ness is makes the vessel look muc much larger - and the range -and awesome fuel economy make this a special boat indeed-thanks for the review.
This is a good boat. We all seem to be benfitting a lot from all the yards competition going on at the moment. In a few years people will want to swap their boats and the market will be flooded with more boats than customers so I can get one for cheaps!!!! Hurrah!
How might one get a boat like this from USA to South Pacific? Probably best to ship it there on cargo boat. With the shallow draft, it's probably not stable enough for crossings as you don't have a sail to stabilize. You need about 3k nm range to hop from LA to Hawaii to Marshall's. Crazy idea but I wonder if you could mount spare tanks on the swim deck. 2,000 ltr fuel = 3k pounds/ 1.5k kg - plus tank weight so it would probably need structural integration.
Dear @nextari, range of up to 3,000 Nm with optional tanks of 3,800ltrs is possible. The boat is really stable due to its very low COG and wide waterline.
This would be in my shortlist if I’d me in the market for a ~2 million yacht. The only thing it seems to be missing is a washer/dryer, hope that’s an option.
nice, fck the sundecks, turn it fully electrical covered in solar panels a glasshouse of solar panels shaped like an upside down ironing iron to maximise inner space and autonomy
Incredible. Stunning. As near perfect as you could get for 60 foot. Extremely good fluent commentary and tour.. and I think I’ve found my ideal boat; been looking for couple of years now. Amazing how they can sell them for £100,000! (Wish).
Omikron should rename it the Headroom Monster. Wasn't initially keen on the lower deck galley, but loving the spaciousness and airyness of the living accommodations.
This boat will sell bucket loads. Very rarely these days do i ho wow, but wow. This to me is perfect form over function. You could travel for weeks on this.
As always, a great video review. As someone who has a Saxdor 400 GTC on order, a third of the price mind you, I’m so glad the wife hasn’t seen this video. I’m very impressed with this boat and as someone who in the past bought a Lagoon 56, all I can say is if I was doing it again, I would get a boat like this instead because I spent more time on motors than under sail.
good to hear. that was my exact thinking, with that range and fuel economy this could make sense over a large cat. I wonder how you might be able to deal with crossing the pacific from the US. You would need an additional tank. I wonder if it would be stable for ocean crossings without a sail to leverage.
Dear @@nextari, extra tank arrangement for up to 3,800 ltrs are available. The boat is very stable with minimal rolling due to low displacement, low COG and wide waterline length. It is also a category A boat.

Dear @Nezzer57, all lights are controlled from the helm and low red courtesy lights are installed all around the interior to aid with moving around at night time and avoid reflections.
very nice concept. id like to see her get 1500 miles though - will she take extended tanks? is also be curious about her seakeeping in rough conditions.
Dear @ironichumorist, range of up to 3,000 Nm with optional tanks of 3,800ltrs is possible. The hull design has been optimized for efficiency but also exceptional seakeeping in rough weather. Hence the category A rating, which is rare in this size. As an option electric fin stabilizers with zero speed capability are available.
Like this one , nice to do a lazy long distance trip around the Med or wherever really , like the layout very thoughtfull , not sure what I would change
This jumps right up my list for singlehand liveaboard! Closest mono I've seen to a cat. I love the glasshouse saloon. Galley down always gives a so much more functional kitchen and real fridge without blocking helm views. Great that it doesn't have enormous helm seats blocking visibility. I would definitely have solar across the top for maximum hybrid operation. Be even better if the cockpit canopy extended further back for more solar. And a door at the helm. Bow crew cabin I'd make a workshop. You didn't touch on stabilisation? I assume gyro? Looks like you could beach it too for maintenance in the field.
Dear @ashleykerlin, up to 4.5 kW of solar can be fitted as an option on the roof. A door helm is not available but exterior helm for docking is available in the aft port quarter.
@@OmikronYachts Thanks for addressing the query, what an impressive range for an impressive vessel, definitely it will be on the list. Looking forward for future encounters. Thanks
Phenomenal presentation, my first of this channel. The cameraman disappears as we are invited to an intimate, detailed, and respectful tour. This is actually the first motor vessel I've considered over a sailing yacht. 1 liter per nm is astounding. My only question is if the galley atrium comes at the cost of other space, but that would have to be seen in person. The one other concern was the escape hatch for the master suite appears to be on the side, due to it's height. I suppose if there's one on each side, it's good enough. Great show!
Omikron's OT60 deserves all the accolade it has received, and won "boat of the year 2024" Although in my humble opinion, the lite colored woodwork needs more contrast. The addition of solar panels and an electric motor, would make the OT60 near... perfect
At first, i had no intention of looking at this …too big for a retired couple and too expensive for my wallet. But then, i realized this boat is exactly where my curiosity laid. My wish is for a 30’ cabin cruiser, like a saxdor 320 gtc or quarken 35 etc. the OT60 has the same basic shape as the small cabin cruisers. Then i heard the 12/15knot speed and long range cruising, then i knew the parameters of this boat was exactly what i was looking for. My interest was in a comfortable long range slower traveler, so i the bow shape for cutting through water rather than planing like the small cruisers do at 40mph. It was the bow i wanted on the saxdor. I read there’s a nearly 13’ mast on this?
I wonder how it would go in a big sea. It’s very flat underneath, it looks like it would be horrible in a head sea or does the fine bow compensate for this
I do like this concept. Looks like its designed for sailors looking to move to power, without the desire to motor quickly. Run an engine all day, and spend $60 on fuel. Like the low profile which creates a very sleek nautical style - again akin to a beautiful sailboat versus the floating condo look of taller motor yachts.
Wonderful yacht - could imagine spending summers cruising around Europe in this for a few months every year. I’d want to ditch the be spirit though 😬 Great tour Jack and team, as always.
Wow with that efficiency (around 5Kwh per nautical mile at 8knt) it's getting close to being viable as a battery electric vessel. I wonder if combustion efficiency could get better somehow and by how much. Those engines are probably reaching 50% thermal.
Nice boat but if come with bigger fuel tank and faster speed it will be better❤ I would rather sacrifice that vip cabin or the twin guest room and make it two accommodations room for bigger engine and fuel storage
Dear @whollyshoots3587, we now offer the Yanmar 8LV as an option which brings the top speed up to 19 knots. Optionally the fuel tanks can increase to 3,800 ltrs without sacrificing any substantial interior space.
You think that is the entire boat, is there a clothes washer? Dryer? Water maker? Windlass and chain locker location? Heating? Cooling? Radar? FLIR? Electricity consumption? Generators/solar/wind? Cameras? Sat nav? Emergency fuel tank? Sounders and fishing lockers? Live bait tank? Wash down? Location and type of tender? To name a few, so not the entire boat.
That is a great boat, I thought at first it was a Catamaran with the beam of it, very spacious with a great layout, very bright and airy with great finishes, Great tour Jack thank you.
WOW!...not many deserve that word but this thing had been beautifully thought out and so so functional...i genuinely love it and from me that is extremely high praise.
If they could find a way to do that; probably even a bit less than half price but you also don't really need all the fanciness in a 15 meter "made for a retired couple" boat that you do in this bigger one aimed more for entertaining and charter; while retaining range and stability for a CE "A" rating, they could find a bit of a market.... The Sasga 42 does serve such a role. But is much more traditional design wise, and a bit "overpowered"; hence needlessly thirsty; for long term cruisers spending 90% of time at displacement speed. Far and away most owners seem to treat them like any other Med vacation boat; using the boat for a few weeks to a month or two every year. So for that usage, mo powwa, extended vacation time constrained effective cruising range, makes sense. But a similar boat more directly targeting long term cruising/mobile-liveaboard concerns, ought to have at least some takers.
Hey Jack, you are really doing great reviews, well done, in depth, full of passion, your experience is valued and thank you for the wide variety of content. 😊
I love this. Efficiency is way more important to me than speed is. Really impressive. I would go with the solar panels in top. What price are we looking at? Or is that not been disclosed yet?
Gave it a like because the nice walkthrough but I really question the range. It is marketed as a long range cruiser but when I try to find specs for this, all it says is 1200l tank gives 1000 miles at 8 knots............??? So how far do one get at 6 knots on 1 engine? What is the real max range? Can one put more tankage on it? Can I go across the atlantic?
The boat is very nice indeed. Love the look. The layout is cool. Yet for me, the guests cabins could be the same, singles that could come together to be a double or both singles or doubles. Would like at lease double range. Finally, “wide side decks” takes away from the interior portion of the 18’ beam. Narrower side decks or a 1/2 wide body, and engine options would cinch it. ❤
1000 NM is nothing. A good long range Yacht should get at minimum 3000 NM range. A 65' Bering yacht range is 4500 NM range. There is no way you could make passage of the Atlantic in this thing. Unless you took the northern rout. Which would put you in very rough and dangerous sea's, and forget about the Pacific ocean. Maybe 1000 NM may be long range if you only cruise near land. Such as the Gulf of Mexico or the Caribbean. When you cruise open oceans it is nothing.
A Landlubber selling you a power vessel with push button operation to keep you as far as possible away from the reality of operating a vessel in coastal waters. Does he tell you about a VHF operators license... or taking basic course in operating a vessel....or the designated safety equipment required by law... & some much more to be safe in a MARINE environment.

Stabilizers? Possibility of larger tanks? Shore hookup? At 6'4", superb headroom, although not apparently in the engine room
That aft section is like Transformers!!!
Beautiful yacht!! It goes to show that simple and uncluttered is the way to go.
It's actually a really nice thought out boat. It's perfect for coastal cruising. I love the small motors and the range you get.
There's nothing on this vessel I have a problem with 😉 in fact for the money the comfort and distance would rate this in my top 5
