This is so sad because we were all excited about seeing all the transformations of this beautiful chateau. I hope you’ll continue to show us your decorating skills and share your beautiful days ahead with your grandchildren. Best wishes❤
Definitely bitter sweet. Bitter for leaving the chateau, and sweet because you have exciting opportunities ahead of you! Thank you for sharing your journey!
It must be very sad to say goodbye to the Chateau , you should be very proud of what you achieved. I will miss your Sunday video updates from the Chateau . But as they say as one door closes another opens. I am sure you have exciting plans ahead, and hopefully we can follow your new adventure.
Thank you so much for taking us along on this lovely journey. I have enjoyed every moment of your French adventure. I am happy that the chateau will have new owners who plan to continue the restoration. Chateau de la Ferte is a treasure worth saving. I will miss my Sunday visits with you, but I suspect that there will be a lovely English house to work on before long! Bethany, I wish you all the best in all your future endeavours. You are a lovely young woman with a bright future ahead of you. Thank you for all your hard work. Carole and Adrian, such a terrific time watching your hard work, ingenuity, and optimistic outlook on all things. I am thrilled that you get to spend more time with your grandchildren. A decision you will never regret. Again, just thank you!!!
This made me so sad. I don’t understand the new owners not wanting the draperies or the spectacular chandelier!! I remember you putting that chandelier together piece by piece. I almost feel like I’m the one who moved in and out. I was so invested in what you were doing there. And it’s really disappointing that the new owner is not interested in youtubing. 😢 well all the best to you on your new adventures.
Yep..it's been a labor of love..but the "divorce" has broken everything.. was nice while it lasted..the new folks have a different vision.. Sad, but true
@julindahiggins1582 FROM WHAT I SEE OF NEW OWNERS......THEY HAVE NOT WANTED TOO MUCH😮 OF CAROLES BEAUTIFUL CURTAINS, CHANDELIERS, THE FRONT DOOR, FIREPLACES. OH I FEEL THERE HAS BEEN A DECLINE IN LAFERTE. NOW. IT LOOKS SAD THIS GORGEOUS BIG CHATEAU. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND THESE NEW VISION OWNERS. NOT KEEPING ALOT OF NICE FURNISHINGS 😢
I can’t watch! My heart is broken! I’m so happy for you and your family, but can’t stand the thought of this awesome adventure that you’ve shared being over. Have thought about you every week since you last posted. Miss your adventures as well. Feel like I’ve lost touch with part of my family. Love to all from Texas❤
I can only imagine how emotional this has been for y'all. Im guessing you're both emotionally, and physically exhausted. Enjoy being back near all of your family.
It made me cry watching the last bits being removed from château...you're like family & I'll continue to watch your videos no natter what you renovate or not! You guys are great & can't wait for next Sunday to come! Much love from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
That was emotional to watch. You have achieved so much in saving this piece of French history. What an amazing journey especially as you’re such a lovely family! I hope you continue to share with us new creative ventures. Cheers!
It’s just remarkable that both of you are so good natured and almost cheery about the dismantling and ?selling of all the decor which you had so lovingly brought to life! It can’t be easy, but you are so positive for the new chapter of your lives. ❤from Montreal
We are so sad to see you depart from the chateau after all the work you have put in to it. So much care and such devotion to detail. I actually started to cry when thise beautiful curtains came down. We have watch other chateau projects but yours has always been our favorite. We will continue to watch and wish you all the best. Love from Asheville, NC, USA
A very sad moment indeed had a big lump in my throat. when seeing the furniture being taken and loaded into the other peoples van, hit home. Bitter sweet. Take care look forward to your next adventure.
I came for the Chateau, stayed for Adrian and Carole. Absolutely love the relationship and banter you guys have, really sad to see you say goodbye to the Chateau, you made such a difference. Hope we get to see you with a new project in the future, all the best!
So sad to see your château journey come to an end. Watching you deconstruct your rooms and furnishings was quite heart-felt. I am glad that so many of your favorite pieces will live on in new homes to bring others great joy. Best of luck on your new horizons. ❤😊🎉
I have loved this chateau and your journey over the years. Wishing you both the very best in your future endeavours. Please know that you will be missed. 🥀🍀
This video I felt, was just so sad😢. Will miss you guys being there. Saying your goodbye as the beautiful chateau fades into the distance. Back to ye olde England. 🇬🇧
You both worked so hard & everything turned out beautifully! I never knew how you, Carol, spent months working on the ceiling in the salon. Amazing! Hope you share your new projects.
I’m so sad to see everything being stripped from the Grand Salon but very happy to see it will be reunited at another Chateau. Carol and Adrian, you have both put your heart and soul into the restoration of Chateau de la Ferté and have also done so much of the ‘ground work,’ strengthening and replacing the unseen structures as well as the beautiful decorating. The new owners have a head start to their Chateau adventure. You both deserve this new phase of life and I can totally understand the need to be closer to your lovely family. I will look forward to any new youtube postings from you IF you have time between the joy and cuddles of your two gorgeous grandchildren! Beth you do and have done, a great job of editing these vlogs for our pleasure of viewing and congratulations and best wishes for your achievements and future successes. 💖💖💖
It’s bitter sweet for many of us who were living the dream with you. I’ll miss your beautiful renovations of Chateau Ferte’, but am looking forward to your next project(s). Until then, wishing you good health and much happiness…………
Loved watching your transformation of your chateau. Your loving banter the hard work the beauty of transforming the sad and lonely rooms in to a warm glorious space. I started watching I just wanted to see the floor go back in. I stayed for all the rest. I enjoyed everything you, your friends and family have accomplished. Best of luck!!😊
You certainly enjoyed your adventure into France!!! You poured yourselves into the restoration and it will continue…and you get to pick a new family adventure!!! The world stands before you….God Bless you all !!
Watching you disassemble what you had created over so many months with so much effort, taste and skill was extremely sad and I was in tears. Such a wonderful place now stripped of its handpicked furnishing and decoration … For you it must feel like surgery without anaesthesia. Hopefully your growing family will help you get over it better. All the best for you and thank you for sharing your experiences. It was such a pleasure to watch each Sunday!
So sad to say goodbye after watching you put so much hard work, love and attention in the Chateau. It's not goodbye, but farewell. ❤ wish you all well in your future endeavours.
We all will miss the Chateau and you guys. You have done a great job and it has turned out beautifully. Hopefully you will continue videos in a new house that you purchase as it will be just as great and interesting. All the best to the 3 of you.
I’m having a hard time imagining what kind of chandeliers the new guy will be putting in! The ones you chose are PERFECT! I hope he doesn’t ruin it by going all MODERN!
I believe they said the new owner was going to restore the chateau to what it would have been like in the past and the chandeliers did not fit that, except for the living room chandelier, they requested that that stay. From what Carole and Adrian said it will definitely not be modern. I hope not. I have stopped watching one Vlog as I just did not like the rush of everything and the modernization.
This made me unexpectedly sad, after all I’ve not actually been to the chateau or met you all, but feel as though I know you. You did de la Ferte proud. Onward, and best of luck.
I personally want to Thank you all for those so enjoyable videos of the progress on projects in the Château. It was wonderful to see the transformation along the way. I have been following from almost the beginning, I shedded some tears because it was like I was saying goodbye to friends. I know you do not know me but with time, I have grown to appreciate all of You. Life has a funny way of leading us to different paths. Hope you will have other projects. Please notify. Enjoy the summer…Profitez de l’été 😊
It's great that the new owners will let you come back to let us see an update...and it's extra special that you would consider even doing that for us, so thank you! 😁🇺🇸
Besides Carole and Adrian the things I will miss most are the dining room and the carriage house. Was so looking forward to that reconstruction. The best of luck to you and your family. Hope there is a follow up in a year.
You put so much work into this chateau and gave it a second chance. Nobody can take that away from you or the admiration from all of us that you inspired.
Good luck with your new adventures. We are sorry to see you leave the Chateau as you all worked incredibly hard to get it to the point you did. Looking forward to seeing what you get upto next
This has literally made me cry. I hate it, so much. I wish you both major kudos for your future, may you both hit the road squarely on your feet running into your next adventure. Cheers for the journey, never completely close your door on us your subscribers please. Best of bloody British luck to you all. 🍻 🥂 Also special thank you to your youngest for uploading of the vlogs, cheers Beth❤❤
Well I am sad! I so enjoyed the enormous work and talents you did to improve the chateau, quite amazing! Your sharing of videos was appreciated and well loved. I wish you nothing but the best in all future endeavours.
Was so nice seeing you guys again! Have missed you all. A tearful goodbye to the Chateau, at least for me, loved watching your journey. I hope we get to see of you all going forward. Good luck on your new endeavours ❤
Grieving a loss. Since beginning to watch chateau videos, I have wondered somewhat anxiously how it would feel when they end. I don't like to think of it, even though it is reality. Now it has happened. We have enjoyed all of you and your work and are grateful for the experience. There is now a small void in our lives but as always life moves on. I look forward to seeing the next adventure. Wishing you all the best! ❤
What a mix of emotions! I had a tear in my eye😢. Reminded me of the scene from brewsters millions. When Richard Pryor has the suite done up twice in the hotel suite and finally walks in and says ‘ this is a room I could die in’ then a second later they walk in to clear it out. Along with the song ‘I did my it my way’ the final curtain😝. It only seems like yesterday since I followed your amazing journey from the start. Well! That’s the end of chapter 1. Onto chapter two🙌. Wishing you all the best for the future and look forward to what your next vlog will bring🫶. Thank you all for sharing💕
Hard days for you indeed!!! I know you’ll miss it. But I’m sure you’ll never regret having taken it on, and that you’re making the right decision for your family. The next project will be exciting in a new way I’m sure. ♥️♥️♥️
It was great to see you again. This was so sad to watch. The beautiful curtains you made coming down, the beautiful furniture and chandeliers, etc. going killed me. I wish you well and much happiness with your new adventures. Thank you for sharing your chateau adventure with us. ❤
Well, no one can ever take away your gift of creativity, your vision for design, your talents for painting, etc. Those things will always be with the two of you no matter where you are. What a lovely, friendly, welcoming couple you are. May the Lord go with you and bless your future more than you would ever imagine.😊
This is sad ho say goodbye but knowing Carole and Adrian, there will be another interesting house to be restored. I hope so. It was a pleasure following your adventure and I hope there will be more to come. All the best for the future and lots of fun with the grand babies. Family first. Always!
It was so much fun watching the progress with the renovations but the real reason I watched was to listen to the bantering and fun back and forth between your family. Looking forward to your next project. I'll be there watching.
I am surprised you have to maintenance the home but I guess until the paperwork goes through it's up to you to do it. I am sure they will appreciate what you do keeping maintenance until they take over. At least you will make back your money on furnishings you bought is great and going to a new home even better. Look forward to your new journey and whatever you get up to next. Thank you Carole and Adrian and Beth and family for showing this experience with us :) wish the best of wishes to the lucky new owner and their family for the future of having such a loved home.
Awww, Sorry you had to say goodbye. Hopefully happy new beginnings ahead. I will keep watching whatever you decide to post. Thanks for sharing your renovation journey, it was a pleasure to watch a family do such a lovely renovation job.
I don't know how you are standing this, the breaking down of all the time and work it took to make those rooms look perfect. It is sad. I can't imagine what you will do next that will top this Chateau.
So sorry to see you guys go, as you were doing such a good job restoring that château. I can appreciate the problems of having to go back to England every so often as well as language problems. I wish you well and have enjoyed all the many things you've shown us. Best wishes for your future! Betty.
It is sad to see a chapter close but I’m sure there are many more chapters to come on your journey of life. Looking forward to see what you get up to.🙂
I’m so sad to not see you at Chateau Ferte any more - have so enjoyed your resurrection of it. Thank you all very much and I look forward to seeing you in the future.
So sad but you leave the chateau in a better state than you found it. That will always be your legacy. Thank you for sharing it with us all xx On to new adventures! xx
It’s completely understandable that it’s so hard to leave this place behind, and scatter the beautiful things you’ve carefully pulled together. But I’m sure you’ll never regret taking this journey, and that you’re making the right decision for your family. Big hugs! I’m looking forward to your next adventure, whenever that starts. ♥️♥️♥️ How nice that the new owners will let you back for the occasional update. I’m sure you’re right that it will be a while before they are able to do more than windows and roof. My sister calls the odd and ends at the end of packing “rubble.” 🙂
Thank you so much to your family for sharing your life in France with me. I understand completely the pull of being close to your most dear children and grandchildren and parent. The grand babies will grew up too fast and the little moments spent with them will never be questioned. I am looking forward to the next project that surely will be as wonderful as Chateau de la Ferte was. I raise a toast to future gold bling!.
You guys did a fantastic job of bringing the Chateau back to life! So sad to see everything go. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. You’ll be missed.
This is really sad, , life goes on, so unpredictable. I am certainly going to miss you three, thanks for the memories. The chateau was just getting to the good life and now someone else will enjoy all your hard work. I hope they will not destroy all the beautiful work you accomplished. Good luck to you with all your future endeavors. So hard to say goodbye. Loved your personalities and the content on your channel.
Awww, I’m really emotional watching your treasures leaving the chateau, Carole. Makes me feel sad. I’m glad the new owner will continue to work away at restoration, though. I’m happy for you guys that you will be close to your family now, though. I hope you’ll start fixing up a place in England soon, so we can follow you there, and stay a family on UA-cam. We’ve become very attached to you, Carole, Adrian and Beth and will miss you greatly otherwise. Stay well and keep safe until then. ❤️😘🇨🇦
It's been a fantastic two years since I began following your channel! Although, you poured your love and hard work into all that you did to bring this beauty back to life, in the back of my mind I didn't think you would stay. On to the next adventure and thank you for sharing your lives and great adventure!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the vlogs of your wonderful work on the Chateau. Thanks for all the hard work you put into editing to allow us to share your life in France. I'm not interested to see what the new owners do to the building - I don't want to see any of your work painted over or changed. I'll keep the lovely memories of what you achieved. All best wishes for the next exciting chapter of your life.
This must be so very sad for you, you both put your heart and soul in to the chateau. Wishing you and your family a happy future, best wishes from Australia xx

I have loved coming along on your chateau journey. I’m so sad you have had to sell. It was very hard to watch the dismantling of your beautiful rooms. I’m sure it was harder for you. Thank you and best of luck.
Gosh so sad to see your château journey come to an end 😭 And for the life of me I can't understand why the new owners didn't want the amazing curtains and furniture?? And I'm gutted about Adrian's future doing up the coach house. All the best for the future ❤

It’s been our pleasure. See you very soon!
Hard days for you indeed!!! I know you’ll miss it.
But I’m sure you’ll never regret having taken it on, and that you’re making the right decision for your family. The next project will be exciting in a new way I’m sure. ♥️♥️♥️
So true!
It was great to see you again. This was so sad to watch. The beautiful curtains you made coming down, the beautiful furniture and chandeliers, etc. going killed me. I wish you well and much happiness with your new adventures. Thank you for sharing your chateau adventure with us. ❤
Our pleasure 😊
Well, no one can ever take away your gift of creativity, your vision for design, your talents for painting, etc. Those things will always be with the two of you no matter where you are. What a lovely, friendly, welcoming couple you are. May the Lord go with you and bless your future more than you would ever imagine.😊
Thank you so much 😀
This is sad ho say goodbye but knowing Carole and Adrian, there will be another interesting house to be restored. I hope so.
It was a pleasure following your adventure and I hope there will be more to come.
All the best for the future and lots of fun with the grand babies.
Family first. Always!
Yes plenty more good times to have!
It was so much fun watching the progress with the renovations but the real reason I watched was to listen to the bantering and fun back and forth between your family. Looking forward to your next project. I'll be there watching.
So pleased! 😊
Our pleasure 😊
I don't know how you are standing this, the breaking down of all the time and work it took to make those rooms look perfect. It is sad. I can't imagine what you will do next that will top this Chateau.
To follow soon! 😊
So sorry to see you guys go, as you were doing such a good job restoring that château. I can appreciate the problems of having to go back to England every so often as well as language problems. I wish you well and have enjoyed all the many things you've shown us. Best wishes for your future! Betty.
Thank you 😊
It is sad to see a chapter close but I’m sure there are many more chapters to come on your journey of life. Looking forward to see what you get up to.🙂
I’m so sad to not see you at Chateau Ferte any more - have so enjoyed your resurrection of it. Thank you all very much and I look forward to seeing you in the future.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for letting us say goodbye as well.
So sad but you leave the chateau in a better state than you found it. That will always be your legacy. Thank you for sharing it with us all xx On to new adventures! xx
So true!
How nice that the new owners will let you back for the occasional update. I’m sure you’re right that it will be a while before they are able to do more than windows and roof.
My sister calls the odd and ends at the end of packing “rubble.” 🙂
Sad to see the chateau going. Will miss your progress in restoring it😢❤
You and me both!
Thank you so much!
You guys did a fantastic job of bringing the Chateau back to life! So sad to see everything go. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. You’ll be missed.

Thank you ☺️
This is really sad, , life goes on, so unpredictable.
We will still continue the channel 😊
Awww, I’m really emotional watching your treasures leaving the chateau, Carole. Makes me feel sad. I’m glad the new owner will continue to work away at restoration, though. I’m happy for you guys that you will be close to your family now, though. I hope you’ll start fixing up a place in England soon, so we can follow you there, and stay a family on UA-cam. We’ve become very attached to you, Carole, Adrian and Beth and will miss you greatly otherwise. Stay well and keep safe until then. ❤️😘🇨🇦
More to follow soon!
You've done just a beautiful job and thanks for sharing this joyful time & looking forward the future of you newly endeavors.
Thank you so much!
It's been a fantastic two years since I began following your channel! Although, you poured your love and hard work into all that you did to bring this beauty back to life, in the back of my mind I didn't think you would stay. On to the next adventure and thank you for sharing your lives and great adventure!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
I can't believe the new owners don't want everything! I would love to see how they decorate. Obviously it won't be as beautiful.
Обычно шато продается без мебели, за мебель выставляется дополнительная сумма. Наверное нового владельца не устроила эта сумма.
Understand and Thank you 😊
So sad after all the work you’ve put in. Good luck health and happiness in the future ❤️🏴
Thank you 😊

I am happy that things worked out for you. I can’t see you guys with out a project. So look forward to seeing that.
But you did save the Chateau you took on the immediate repairs and gave it stability and made sure it went to owners who carry on the work. It’s not abandoned but will have life .

I have loved coming along on your chateau journey. I’m so sad you have had to sell. It was very hard to watch the dismantling of your beautiful rooms. I’m sure it was harder for you. Thank you and best of luck.

Gosh so sad to see your château journey come to an end 😭
And for the life of me I can't understand why the new owners didn't want the amazing curtains and furniture??
