It's so easy to downplay this next to the 700+HP hotrod counterparts, but it's still 450 horsepower getting fired at the back wheels, and it looks dead easy to live with on a daily basis. Not bad, not bad at all.
The alpha platform for the Camaro allows it to accelerate without burning tires and drifting sideways. Look at how many Charges and Challengers are still sitting on the lot and no one is in a hurry to buy one there. Horsepower is nice but engineering wins the race. GM made a major mistake by discontinuing the Camaro and thinking someone would buy an electric version. Nope! Ford was not stupid.
I picked up a 2020 used one with 20 k miles for 30k! Best purchase ever. I swapped the exhaust and changed the diffuser to the ss one. Also have it on zl1 wheels. This thing ripped the paint off the concrete for sure. So much fun. Make sure you buy a radar detector😅
It is especially for what your getting. Your not going find something like this for lower especially today. Your going to have to let that wallet open eventually bud.
@DaHuntersTrophy depends on how much you prize performance out of everything else. The Camaro doesn’t have a payload. It can’t tow. It can’t light off road. Camaro only has two seats. Only has one rear view camera. It’s made by General Motors. I’d rather get a 2024 Tacoma that can do many things. And is not a one trick pony for the 45k
Unfortunately there's probably a market adjustment added making these not affordable to us working class Anericans these days. Other tahn that I'd live to buy one.
@@tonyn3227 You're naive, I average 26 mpg easily and work is 30 miles one way. GM engineers did their HW and made one efficient , visceral, and powerful V8.
If u get these fully base like there suppose to be u can get them for like 35k brand new but when people order them with nice options they go up these cars were meant to be base model v8s
There’s a weld “stop” in the seat that keeps it from reclining further. Very annoying. Incredible car though that will outrun more expensive cars in a road course.
Good value here. I saw one in that Sharkskin metallic that looked gorgeous. I'd drop Recaro, auto & optional paint to knock off $3600 then add Bose & larger screen for $900 to come in just over $40K. Too many options take the LT1 deep into SS price range. Its funny that the sunroof actually reduces your head room, but somehow still makes that dark cockpit seem less claustrophobic and not quite so cheap.
I just picked up a Civic Sport Touring. Lease was such a great deal too! Love it. However, damn, which I waited and looked into Camaro. Maybe, in three years, Chevy will bring back a Trans Am GTA. ;) Boy can dream.
Up until last year base price was 34k I got one with more options brand new in 2022 for less than. 39k has the npp exhaust and rs package as well......cool,color though shame they r done. Far more superior to the mustang imo
@@a.j.s.8049 jeez don’t you think that’s a little expensive, I remember I bought a six speed manual, 2021 2SS brand new for 46k in California. That was in 2020 I think I bought it. Sold it though, I put a few bolt on parts on. It made a little bit cooler and faster and better, but had to get rid of it because I started to travel for work. I had to buy a truck.
Color cool, would have been nice some gloss black rims. But I like it.. love your videos Ben .. cause you don’t do a lot of that 💩EV stuff. Kept it real BEN love ya buddy be safe out there..👍🏻
Thank you for another GM review Ben. Be thankful fall is here and you not driving in extreme humidity and heat. The car seems like a value. I know there has to be a more loaded Camaro than this. I miss the days of Pontiac Firebird and Camaro competition in the market. GM should have done more for interior ergonomics.
Why do you need a Ferrari, why do you need a pickup truck, why do you need 400hp+ car, why do you need to eat out, stfu and enjoy the car for what it is. Obviously you have never driven this Camaro, that Auto is the best I have ever experienced. The manual mode is just cherry on top.
It's bad compared to anything else. You really do get used to it. Truly not a problem but a deal breaker for some. In my opinion it feels more like sitting in a race car as you sit so low.
Same here my friend at $31,800. Some folks just don't believe we got ours at that price before the mark ups happened. Sure was a super good value for those of us that got in on it at the time. Wonderful car.
Because Camaro owners didn't give a shit and GM wanted to please Camaro fans/owners instead of snowflakes. (They sent out a survey to Camaro owners if they wanted the car to be more practical, we said hell no. Keep it a true muscle car) Just buy a civic and you get excellent blind spots and visibility, problem solved 👍
Not true. I bought my 2024 LT1 seven months ago...six speed manual with dual mode exhaust. I seem to remember the window sticker price being around $42,800. Paid $39,990 + tax. No other fees.
Did your see the quality of the seats just trash, dealer got it cheap still selling for a premium model, the construction on the seats are terrible. Suckered if you buy it
Great exterior design, but the interior is ugly and can cause depression 😅 the seats are amazing though if GM would re-work the interior gage cluster, steering wheel and the screen that would make it sell better/faster
Is this not the last year of the Camaro? If so- this is incredibly dissapointing. There is nothing special about it. In fact I would argue my 2012 is better looking inside and out...

i need to take a couple days to digest $45,000 being "dirt cheap"
It's dirt cheap compared to European supercars churning out similar horsepower
Not saying it's cheap, but the 2024 chevrolet camaro 1lt coupe is only $30,000.

This is hard to beat!!! Lots of bang-for-buck! Especially when all these luxury lines don't even offer V8's anymore
Disagree. At 45+ and not even a luxury car, it should include more amenities

SS pushes 52K and above to be fully loaded. SS2 pushed it to the prize of the LZ1.

I want a 2022 camaro LT1
I'd drive it...I wish the Nitro Yellow was more yellow than mustard. But 455hp would be a fun second car in the summer.
It is worth it definitely! I paid 10k more for my 2023 2SS with 1LE. But it has a lot more goodies. Lol

Why does this model have a non digitila cluster and a smaller center screen?
I test drove one. Great car. A totally easy car to live with. That V8 the only way, IMO.
Sweet car and a good value for what you're getting, the Recaro seats are a nice option. Not a big fan of the color, but color is very subjective.
Looks like baby poop
I did complain about the Camaro's nose job. Then I saw the dark horse mustang and suddenly this ain't looking so bad
I think the dark horse is an ode to camaro from ford now that chevy killed it
It looks sick to bad GM is killing it. Rims look good on it

Nitro yellow or something like that.
