I love tutorials like this, without unnecessary talking. Big Thanks!
Best way haha and no problem 👍
Amazing Amazing Amazing

First word that come from mouth after watching this is "wow" . Please continue making this type tutorials more.
Happy to hear that 😁 and I will do, it's my mission to make tutorials simple again
Awesome tutorial and straight to the point! Under 5 mins, no background music, and very concise. Thanks for sharing these tips mate.

very cool, thx
Thank you! Very easy to understand ☺.
You're welcome
killer tutorial, THANKS :D
No problem 👍
Thank you so much! i was looking for this specific effect.
By any chance is posible to use this effect changing from one font in to another?
Back in my recommendations you pesky man. Keep it up!
Oi oi I'm back haha and I will do I'm still going at it
Awesome
useful, ty
Great! Is a possibility to use exactly letters you need? Just defines letters?
Tnx for tutorial and wanted to ask: is that possible to change the speed of letters changing? (not speed of word revealing)
Thanks!!! Thank you very much
No problem
Amazing tutorial
Thanks!
Just wanted to say wow, you made this effect so easy to achieve, thank you for the excellent tutorial.
Your comment just made my day :) and it means a lot to hear that I'm really glad my video was helpful
Hi thank you! What if you want to add another text after the first text? Sorry, I'm a beginner at this.
ty
Thank you! Is there a way I can start with Russian Characters and have it change into English Characters?
Is it me or does "Range Selector" sounds like a fire mix? Haha 🔥
Thank you man !!!!
You're welcome
thank you perfect!
No problem!
Thank You♥
No problem
thank you very much!
You're welcome
Great tutorial, thank you! Is there a way to make this work with a non-fixed width font? The letters get spread very unevenly in the random phase with the font I'd need to use.
Try "Adjust Kerning" in the character alignment option above the character range
can you think of an easy way to make two lines of text blend into each other using random characters?
Hi, is there a way to export text generators for lottie? When I export this effect, the text never changes in the lottie file, as if it's completely ignoring the effect. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! Quick question. Is there a way to slow down the speed of which the letters are changing in the process of the reveal?
Yes. Just move the keyframes further away from each other that will slow the reveal effect
Damn🔥🔥
😎👌
Is there a way to limit the characters used eg just numbers?
Can "0 precent" be another word instead of just a random scramble? Like turning the word ELEPHANT into FOX with scramble between? Or do I need to do that manually?
can you do it with path or compound path from Illustrator?
Please let me know how I can do this starting with Cyrillic characters into english ones.
how can i make the letters appear one by one but still being randomized ?
Can I a make a request could you maybe do an updated version of 8 bit Ryan or
What is your workspace? I'm a beginner but it looks efficient and more convenient to use. Thanks!
Just a custom one I've made over time aha I like my effects on the left side next to the properties panel, I've added align and character to the preview panel since I use them a lot haha. It's actually really easy to customize the panels you just left click on the top line of that panel and drag them to a new area, hold and hover over a panel then release and that docks them in. Also you can add extra panels in the window option at the top
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing.
Appreciate the feedback and it's all good 😁👍
I have a question how would I make it go from a word to another word
what fonts are you using?
Can you do one like this effect in Vegas Pro please?
I could have a look for a third party plugin maybe. Vegas pro has basic effects so im not sure if they have anything like this
If I only need letters, how can i set up?
Hi, THANK YOU so much for making this video.
I have it working but all the random numbers are in lower case, not upper case as in your video.
May I ask what am I am doing wrong?
It will either be one of the options or the font itself I'll have to have another look when im on pc because i can't remember haha
@@VerticDesigns Thank you for your speedy reply. It seems that I have made a schoolboy error. I was using the "Impact" font and had typed it in lower case, but with "Impact" it always looks like you are writing in Upper Case. So I retyped my words with Caps Lock on and it solved the problem.
Thanks again for replying.
Chris
@@christopherharris7777 Aye nice glad you find the problem
Terimakasih sam vertic
you're welcome
Thank you for this tutorial!
I just want to know if we can choose the letters that are getting randomised?
Other than having the option for special characters for custom letters you'll probably have to code that into the expression
@@VerticDesigns Oh!! if it's a simple code, will you be able to quickly tell me what it is?
@@oov9678 I'll be honest with you I don't know it myself but I can imagine that its possible with coding
@@VerticDesigns Alright, no problem! Thanks a lot for the tutorial!
@@oov9678 no worries
Great Tut! I followed your steps carefully but my tracking seems to be off -my letters are running into each other. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
Change your character alignment to "Adjust kerning" - under the advanced drop-down :)
@@rebekahmclachlan4061 - you rock!
Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial! Is it possible to scramble from one specific word to another? Thanks!
As in randomise to one word then another?
@@VerticDesigns Yes! Like it randomises form one to another! Just like ya said. Cheers!
yes also looking for this! + how to randomise the fonts within as well
@@tester7328 hi sorry I thought I replied back. You create the first track as normal then duplicate it by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + D where you wan it to stop. Move the end keyframe slightly back then on the new track type your new text. So you've basically separating them
@@frasergillespie4454 not quite sure how with different randomized fonts but i know you can definitely do it
Can you also do it if the assets are from shapes not from text?
I'm sure there's better ways but only way I can think of doing it with shapes is by finding a font that's just purely shapes. Dafont website has a few shape fonts or you could make your own fonts file, install it and use it in After Effects
I have some Japanese words and I'd like to do this effect, what would be the way to do it?
Easiest way would be to find a Japanese font like this ( www.dafont.com/japanese.font ) and do the same steps but use that font instead
How to make this in cinema 4d?
How to make gaming thumbnail's 🙂 another part please.
Can u do this on premiere pro?
You can create a mogrt inside after effects and then export it to premiere pro
is there any way to do this in premiere pro?
Maybe I'm not 100% sure
can i slow down the random letters?
I'm not sure if it's got an option but I know you can pre-comp the text then use time remapping to slow the letters down
And what if i haven't a text layer but an object layer as a text imported by illustrator? how can i make this effect?
For that you'd need to save your text as a font file but that means you'll also need to redesign the alphabet and use the font in After Effects
@@VerticDesigns oh damn 😂 i'll think about it, thank you anyway bro 😁
@@fango1688 Yeh aha but there's probably other ways
Is there a way to make this from a word in different language and randomly change to a word in english?
yes, you just install a font in a certain lanague and use the font
@@VerticDesigns hey there thanks for the speedy reply ! In my mind I want to it to start with the writing "ประเทศไทย" which means Thailand in Thai script and change it to " Thailand" in English
How call the sound effect wich u use to this intro?
I'll have a look when im on my computer i had to edit it a little bit so i can't remember the name i had to do a bit of research to find the right sound
Here you go: mega.nz/file/zt0hwI5I#YDeN3fSWw6BFqwYSej4K2YZjQa5sKlMXilJvV7PvI8M
what if I want those letters to be in another language ? not English
You should be able to change the font to the language you want to use
The Most hard part about this is finding the right words to search for this effect. I didn't even know what to call it, nice title made it easy to find
Yeh i know exactly what you mean haha it was even hard finding the right sound effect for it
@@VerticDesigns Can you tell me what the sfx is called, I have been searching for hours
@@loukikgodse7250 I'll have a look or put a download because I re-edited mine from a sound effect i found on UA-cam
@@VerticDesigns Okay thanks it would be a massive help
@@loukikgodse7250 Yeh I've found it and it was a sound that I created so here's a link: mega.nz/file/zt0hwI5I#YDeN3fSWw6BFqwYSej4K2YZjQa5sKlMXilJvV7PvI8M
Is there a way to slow down how quickly the letters are randomising?
Yeah you just have to replace the 4 with a number like 0.5 or 0.25
You're welcome
@@Niklas. ty
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👌
This unfortunately only looks good with monospaced fonts.
Yeh that's true
This is too long. Anybody knows some app that has it as a preset? Cap Cut hasdd it, but it's not good, it changes to quickly to the final letter, so you don't even get to see the effect. Davinci doesn't have it, I think. I'll check PP now. But maybe somebody knows, so I don't have to keep looking?
any way to do this with just numbers?
Just use a numbers font only
