- We show you what checks we do before commencing a chain or a big repair on the Ingenium based engine.
We have caught a few out now that simply weren't worth doing a chain on as the engine was nearly shot anyway.
None of this is in the official Land Rover process before commencing a chain repair.
This is all great technical stuff thank you. I still think anyone who buys a JLR vehicle needs their head examined. One good point however is the income potential for independent specialists like you. Well done helping owners (victims).
Those discovery sports in the 2.2d auto guise are actually a good car. Follow on for the freelander 2 which were also fairly good.
Top one again Josh, nice to see you busy, keep up the great content ,,,😁
Excellent video. Thanks for taking the time
Good content. Crap cars, leaking everywhere and thats a good one!
Looks like it has the build quality of a chocolate fire guard. It still surprises me why people buy this junk.
Ptu sleeve kit fitted £485 nox sensor £250 if the dfp was split that's £1800
Thanks for sharing your invaluable knowledge with us. The JLR software is way too pricey unless you work daily on them and then it might be worthwhile.
Hi Josh, thanks for making these really helpful videos, I was wondering what aftermarket scan tool you were using? I have been looking to get one just for occasional use. I look after my own cars and work on my family’s too, so want something that covers a range of models including LRover….thanks ….Les
Think Car and Autel are both good mate
UA-cam is just saturated with car maintenance and rebuild videos!
And most are about Landrover/range rover. Say's alot about their reliability and the astronomical costs for repairs. What idiot designed a car that needs the body removed before you can get near the engine..
Yeah, but this bloke is really good!
@@stevezodiac160 Totally agree with your statement. You need to be to work on a range/ Landrover.👍👍
Isn't that just the algorithm sending it all your way though ? I mean my kids UA-cam is saturated with Minecraft and roadblox 😂
Good informative video - I seem to be finding a lot of dpfs internally damaged on evoques and discovery’s lately leaving soot in the tailpipes like you mentioned.
Your thinkcar diagnostic tool - I have been looking to buy a launch but I don’t really want to jump into the launch prices, so I’m looking at alternatives. It looks like the thinkcar and topdon use the launch software but are copies - what is your opinion on the thinkcar in comparison and which model is yours please?
Thank you!
Ottofix is good
Thanks for your videos. I write from Italy and I am a fan of the Jag brand. I am in negotiations for a 2016 XF with an Ingenium diesel engine changed last year and with 10,000 km of mileage. The car has 160,000 km, what would you recommend?

I would recommend you spend your money on a decent car and don't touch the Jag.
On scale of 1 to 10 how far below 1 are ingenium engines rated?
The most modern computer has not found a low enough number yet having run this question for a week.
Premier league image and comfort, Sunday amateur league mechanical design and build quality. Why anyone would buy these heaps of junk is a mystery to me.
sound terrible.
