    This is gorgeous and when I first saw it it looked like an atom explosion. I find intuitive painting is not something you can teach but suggest. Let go and let the paint and water make their magic! Thank you so much for sharing! Can’t wait till your next one.

    Thanks for the intuitive painting explanation. I’ve been thinking of taking your intuitive painting online class so this helps a lot in my decision. It can be frightening to even put any color on paper because I don’t have a plan. You make it look so easy.and everything turns out so beautiful when you do it.

    This video really resonated with me. I have painted with acrylics for several years but added water colours to my repertoire a couple of years ago & eventually found that i loved how with a little experience watercolour has a mind of its own & if you are prepared to be brave & go with the flow literally the results are amazing. What you Cheever here was an excellent result of this process & you are the first person i have encountered who has explained this intuitive process. I now know I’m not alone. Thank you so much ✨

    This is beautiful, I want to say you should do a triptych but I hate when people tell me what to do in artwork,lol. I love your process, I love making intuitive art whether it's painting or drawing. When I feel stuck and can't come up with what I feel like making this is how i go, just get something down on paper or what have you and as I work something either starts to inspire me to a certain picture or theme and if that doesn't happen I do like you do and do something abstract. I love your hand mixed palette, such beautiful colors! Thanks for posting this.

    I love these colors together. I think they give a magical feel to a painting, which in this case is quite fitting. And even though I know what intuitive painting is I enjoyed hearing you explain it and your process. Needless to say hearing you say you look for the wet spot gave me a bit of a giggle and yes, possibly a bit of a naughty giggle but also just a in general kinda giggle. For myself, I, really, prefer not to find the wet spot cuz that means my little Miss Meg has had another accident and I need to wash my feet and mop the floor. ; ] love this piece as always. I first saw a mushroom cloud but you convinced me to see the tree and even a volcano, grudgingly. Loves and hugs😁

      I came across your wonderful video while I was grappling the idea of intuitive painting for the last 2 years. I didnt get it since I cant doodle. I have dyslexia and cannot follow ideas very well. I have a knack of colours and sometimes start a painting from a ref photo with water. I didnt put these ideas together until you mentioned those 2 elements. I can now find a path with intuitive painting for the first time.

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 років тому

      thank you, Peter. the rings are part of a binding system called "disc binding". for this, you need a special punch which are available from different sources and comes in a variety of sizes. i got mine from Amazon at this link: www.amazon.com/Levenger-Circa-Leverage-Punch-ADS6190/dp/B00C0KJ9V4 . it's a heavy duty one and can punch up to 2 watercolor sheets (140lb). the discs are also available online or directly from Levenger.com (beware -- their product offerings are quite alluring. you've been warned).

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 років тому +1

      the rose of ultramarine is by Daniel Smith and can be found in art stores and online. however the other paints are handmixed and are not available for purchase as is. you'd have to buy the pigments and the watercolor binder from Kremer Pigments and mix them up yourself.

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 років тому

      Samatha, i made an error. the purple i used was also mixed from fluorescent violet (and not rose of ultramarine). but i'm sure you can purchase ready-made pans of it from Kremer Pigments.
