It’s nice to see you so vulnerable regarding your job search. I think it’s something a lot of people can relate to.
Especially because she never posted much about the actual stress of looking, it’s nice to see a different side of it!
Kristee, my heart broke when you said you were passed up for that position. Those emotions are so real, and you truly handle it so well.
I’m so glad you are feeling better, and the best is yet to come.
I just wanted to give you a hug when you started to cry after you read the rejection letter. You are an amazing individual and the right position will come. Wishing you nothing but success. 😊💗
I definitely share the sentiment with not hearing positive news from an interview experience and otherwise being in limbo without having had a job lined up before the prior position ended. After getting countless rejections from places at which I was qualified or over-qualified, I stopped taking it personally. SHIFT your mindset to know that there is an employer out there who will VALUE your background and skills as highly as you do. Use this time to apply for a broad range of companies and industries. See what companies are offering for salary. Become an excellent negotiator. Gain additional skills and certifications that will help put you ahead of the competition. And ultimately, NEVER put all your hope and "eggs into one basket" so that you do not feel this level of disappointment when you find out they are not moving forward with you in the interview process. YOU GOT THIS! #KeepStriving
Legit had a breakdown about this same thing, girl I feel you. It’s so hard
tbh, a place that sends out rejection emails on a saturday afternoon is probably not the one
Everything happens for a reason. Your quote you shared in the recent past has stuck with me and I say it a lot “what if a prophet/fortune teller told you you had 100 declined applications before the perfect one is offered. You would be so much more excited to get through those declines knowing there was an offer to come” (not exact words you said but you get the point). Stay positive! Praying for you that you land an awesome position sooner than later.
I hate that quote so much, because sometimes there is no reason for things to happen. They just do.
I was so depressed when I was looking for a job and the best advice I got was to take time to stop and enjoy the time off. I was back to the structure soon enough. (Plus I wouldn’t want to work for someone that sends emails on a Saturday 🤷♀️)
Last summer when I was job searching I got two rejections back to back that I was super hopeful for and it was such a bummer. One of them even gave me a very personal reason for not giving it to me which was not only hurtful but also strange. But then a week later the perfect position came my way and I got it! Sometimes it takes a bunch of tries and eventually the right thing comes along.
Rejection sucks. Both in relationships and in job interviews. Thanks for keeping it real.
It's so great that you're being super honest and vulnerable about your job search. It's such a reality for so many people!
Short term goals and a few things to look forward to is always so nice too
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm recently unemployed also - have to stay positive! We're awesome and we will find the right opportunity!! Keep the job search videos coming. We really need you!! ❤
Kristee…I’ve watched you through many seasons of life now and I have to say, this one is my favorite to watch because you are going & growing through so much. I’ve been a subscriber for probably around 10 years??? You are an incredible, qualified person and whichever job gives you the chance to shine will ultimately be so grateful they did. I’m sorry about the rejection. No easy way to put it besides it fucking sucks. Sending all the good vibes your way - enjoy this season of life and all it brings, despite moments like this. ❤️
The ending was so real and I relate to you so much!!! Facing realities is really hard, and pouring the energy into productive things elsewhere feels much nicer. You're right though, you need to be happy with you and the job + everything else is just a complement.
You’re def brave for showing us the hard parts of getting a job. A lot of people don’t really show this side of the process . Your feelings are valid and we appreciate you showing the real parts of job hunting.
Maybe try enrolling in a certification class. I am looking for a new job as well and I enrolled in the Google Project Management Course just to stay busy. I have learned so many new things in my field, and so when I find a new job I can talk about what I've been working on and show that I haven't been sitting around LOL
Kristee! I'm also struggling through the job hunt right now and it's absolutely killing me. I feel you so hard. And when you started talking about putting so much pressure on finding a job because it'll distract you from other issues in life I was like oop... literally same 😅 This limbo feeling suckssssss but we gotta keep our heads up because something WILL work out. May we get nothing but rich, fluffy pancakes from here on out 💪💕
So sorry you didn't get the job :( thank you for sharing your raw emotions, I feel privileged that you wanted to share that with us. I've been rejected from so many roles and it's so so disheartening but the right job WILL come along! Looking forward to the vlog where you tell us you've got your dream role!
The job searching process you are sharing is SO relatable. My fingers are crossed for you girl, you´ll get the right position sooner than you think
I applied for 2 jobs recently and the first job I interviewed for seemed like the PERFECT fit for me. I vibed so well with the team and the HR manager said the team loved me and the conversation we had. I didnt get the job. I was so sure i would get the job! It ruined my confidence with my second job interview with the other company. I had my other interview with the other higher up and more paying job. I got the job!!!!!! Don't give up. You'll find the job that's meant to be!
Kristee you rock! Your vlogs are so real and raw. I’ve never commented on UA-cam before but I’ve been watching since 2016!!! Love this and wishing the best for you 😁
I feel you! ❤️ Wishing you all the best in your search❤️
Going through the same job process run!! Got through 4 rounds of interviews with a company & was ultimately rejected. I think I had subconsciously taken myself out of the mindset of job hunting while waiting for a response, so when I didn’t get it, it took a little bit to get my mind in that place again & “mourn the loss” of my life if I had gotten the job. This video definitely helped me to know I’m not the on,y one in this situation🙃 Good luck!!
Hang in there. You will find the right job - you always do. Sending you positive vibes and support from IL. 💕💕
Good luck on the interviews in the future and enjoy your time and post more
Also, from your rejection letters - see if you can have a follow up meeting with them. Ask them where you could improve, what advice they have for you moving forward and thank them for the opportunity anyway. Having follow up meetings after you don’t land the job is extremely helpful! Try it out, see what happens!
Kristee, i know the feeling but I know there is something better out there for you!!
I'm going through the same kind of thing right now not being gainfully employed after college, no routine, big interviews lined up but not being the best fit or hearing back.. It's exhausting but sometimes taking a step away from it all is what's best to breath for a sec! I'm sure whatever comes your way will be meant for you!
It was an awesome blog I loved all the things you put together and especially your emotions and made me cry yes you’re a great person good job it wasn’t meant for you there’s something better for you keep it up see you in the next one
Getting that rejection email is honestly the worst, but everything happens for a reason. I've been going through the interview process for the past 3 months and 13 interviews, 3 rejections, and 1 declined offer later and I got exactly the position I was looking for at exactly the place I wanted to be. Take your time and really look at each interview as a learning experience. I'm rooting for you!!!
“Did I just say tummy?” LOL
I went through unexpected unemployment and truly feel your pain. You'll find the right thing at the right time.
Job hunting is very stressful and always feels personal even though we logically know it isn't. You are correct - the right position for you is out there!
Love the halter top ! Wishing you all the best in your job search ! 🌹
kristee, I've been watching your vlogs and channel for the longest time. I'm from Mexico and in a way you've shown me a lot of american-(specific to you context) Independent smart women culture , I think that is reaally cool and not many people can say they do that! You can inspire or help out by sharing useful information with random girls from many parts of the world (even if that is not your end goal) so, I'm 100% great things are coming your way!! I'm also looking for a job and figuring out some other stuff so, I feel the blurriness.. sending you my best wishes! pd: don't feel pressure to be smart or impressive like we tell you you are!! you can just be!!
You will find another one, more exciting, and more in tune to your qualifications. You seem like such a great employee.
Ma'am, you've got this! ❤❤❤
Keep going! Don’t give up, keep and open mind your path will open up 🎉 maybe take this a a moment to focus on you again.
Keep your head up, beautiful! The right job is on its way! as other people have commented, maybe you don’t want to work for a company that sends rejection in emails on a summer Saturday anyway.
The blue dress looks incredible on you!
Give yourself some grace. You just finished your contract. Thanks for your transparency bc so many go through the same thing.
I AM STRUGGLING WITH THE JOB SEARCH TOO!!!! laid off after i had been at a job for almost 4 years and i’ve been looking for a new job since april….. STAYING POSITIVE THOUGH AND WE GOT THIS
Uhg, I'm job searching too. Very thankful that I'm not the only one on the emotional rollercoaster 😅. Left my teaching job to try new stuff and it's a lot.
I know it's hard to not get down on yourself but try your best. You have a great head on your shoulders. You could sit back and just do youtube ( not that, that is a bad thing) but you know you want more than that. You are so young and have done so much. I know you will keep on pushing because you have done it before. Keep your head girl you got this!
Something will turn up! When one door closes a window will open♥️
Love you Kristee
Ugh not getting the job never feels good! But i think you said it best, you probably were overqualified for it. I know something good is coming your way. I got rejected from a job a few months ago and it stung but just got hired at a new place and i LOVE it!
Love the blue blazer!
Sooo smart of you to keep up last year’s fall decor on your shelf all year round, so you can save time not doing it this year!
I've just paused the video as you started to get upset to say.. I completely relate, I understand how lost, frustrated and upset you can feel when you're putting so much in to not only finding a job, but life and it keeps throwing shit your way. I hope you accept me saying this, but from what I've watched of your videos, you are worthy, loved and have so much to give. Keep your chin up girl, keep focused and take care of yourself. Something will come!
hey girl. i got laid off early this year and i'm still struggling to find a job. the job market is so freaking competitive and it's annoying that i know i'm overqualified for jobs and still don't get them. i know money is a big stressor, but tbh, i've been the happiest i've ever been since i was let go, because i realized how stressed and underpaid i was in that position. i know you enjoyed your previous job, and i certainly feel you on the job search struggle, but take advantage of the time off! the way i thought about is that i'd never get this much time off or have the time to do other stuff during the day. ofc i'm applying to jobs all the time, but there's only so many jobs posted everyday. just a thought. good luck on your search and thanks for keeping it real!
Y’all I grew up in Pembroke NH and dig sitting here until 9/04
The right job will come.
Rejection is God’s protection ❤
I would say that the career field you’re in makes these feelings even more valid. You are forced to go through this process more than 80% of the work force and that SUCKS! The right job will come along, this wasn’t it. But it’s easier said than done. Know your worth!
I'm so sorry about the position! It's okay to feel upset & let down. The reason actually could have had to do with being overqualified, that's not always a good thing from a hiring standpoint bc maybe they can't pay what you deserve based on your experience, or they might be concerned you would have outgrown the role too quickly for ex. I doubt it had much at all to do with you yourself! I know that's so hard tho, esp when the hits just keep coming like you said :/
As someone who lives 30 minutes from Con-Cord, this is hilarious
Maybe during this down time, you could take us more places around the city? It could also be good for you and help clear your head during this next job journey.
I am praying and hoping you find the perfect job that fits you. It hurts my heart so much to see you searching for jobs every 6-12 month… does your industry offer temporary positions only???
Idk… I would encourage expanding your horizons when it comes to work. It can be good to narrow your options when you’re 1) extremely experienced 3) further along in your career. But I have found that my best opportunities were ones I was not very interested in or even looking for initially… idk - I just encourage you to maybe try some different things. Like I said, praying for the ideal job!
Hi Kristee, is it possible to maybe put the date (ie 8/14-8/24) in the title ? I dont need vlogs in real time but i do like kinda knowing how in real time / relevant in time the vlogs are:) just a thought!
No need. If you click “videos” it puts videos in order from newest to oldest.
@@rrt401 they mean the date the vlogs are filmed, Einstein.
@@cdhxxx wrong napoleon 🤏🏼
Are you and your boyfriend still together? You never really talk about him?
Fun fact- don’t say Con-cord. Say Con-kid. You’ll fit right in😊
Ps the black and white dress was BOMB on you.
Job hunting sucks. I hope something comes soon
You're going to be in my state lol
Maybe it's time to stop job hopping and make a long term commitment at a job and people wouldn't have to deal with the rejection every 10 months.. I don't know how people do this as a person who used to do it. Not trying to come off mean but maybe it's time to find something long term in the area of what you do so.... I would always be stressed about finding something every 9 months ..
It's not job hopping by choice but because the jobs are fixed-term contracts reliant on specific fixed funding.
It also ends up looking bad to any place that isn't offering short term contracts. It shouldn't, but that's how it is unfortunately.
@@LAVIDALAINA totally agree- and any prospective employers in and linked to that field know that, so it doesn't look bad or like job hopping (in the traditional sense) to them.
Why did you quit your job before finding another one? This looks bad on any resume, one being jobless, and two working jobs for less than a year...Just wondering what your thinking process is ?
It was a contract position
She didn't quit, it was a contract position so it was only set for a certain amount of time
Her jobs have always been temporary positions. She didn't quit.
Ahhh thank you!! I didn’t realize that!!
Good things are coming
Rejection is hard - whether that’s a relationship, friendship, job, or something else. It feels like a failure, but it’s not - it moving away from something that wasn’t the right fit for you. I lost my job during Covid and it was hard to not feel lost trying to get another job when no one was hiring. You can apply 100 different places but all you need is one yes. You got this 🤍🫶🏽
