This makes me love my 2007 fj more
Love FJ’s articulation!
Cool FJs!
That articulation is insane! Makes them so capable off-road.
That Treg-TDI was sick. I love my FJ but that Treg handles better as a daily driver.
Daily driver? How about daily fixer?
@@nofyfb123 good answer!
@@nofyfb123 you have obviously never owned a VW Touareg . You must be a Toyota fan boy.
@@paulthomas2217 1. I indeed never owned POS. Why do I need to impersonate a guinea pig if you perfectly fit the role? Also, I spent over 15 years in the field as an Automotive Mechanical Breakdown Inspector and dealt with every single make/model sold in the US thus saw plenty of vw's in various states of [ridiculous] disrepair. These are OBJECTIVE reasons I never owned one. Subjective reason is that vw is your role model's hitler child, and I happen to be anti-nazi for a variety of reasons.
2. I am 63, and, therefore, am hardly a "boy"
3. I am not a Toyota fan - I have OBJECTIVE reasons to believe that Toyota makes the most reliable vehicles in the world. Out of 1,000+ vehicles I inspected every year, toyota was represented by maybe - MAYBE - one or two, and in most cases due to neglect or abuse. I will not talk about my personal experience because it's statistically insignificant.
And finally, I had a short contract with vw a few years ago, and I witnessed first hand what kind of dysfunctional outfit it is.
Hope it helps and you are welcome.
Lots of great areas to 4wd there! 😍
Subbed!👍🏻
Thanks so much! There are heaps of dunes to explore here. I'm always looking for new spots to check out!
Looks like y’all had lots of fun, I’d like to take my 2008 fj (purple lol) on dunes like those, but there is none in Chicago, lol,
Awesome stuff.👍
Thanks 👍
hell yeah mang!
Wow
I love you
Me new sub
lol that was a torture to watch touareg over there
*Nice but, Your steering wheel is on the Wong side!*
everything is reverse in australia lol
@@iyot1020Two wongs don’t make a right! 😏
Nice to Find you. Do you have your front or rear sway bars removed?
Yes on that day, the rear sway bar were disconnected.
Do you have links for the fj front side fenders covers?
Tiene un sonido extraño cuando articula el eje trasero lado derecho, creo que no es normal !!!!
You're right, it was the right hand side sway bar bracket which became loose.
POS vw vs Toyota?!? Try Yugo next time.
Toureg impressive on road tyres ..
Road tyres at road pressure, too. With a driver who knows what a Touareg is doing in off-road modes, they are way more capable than shown here. For a start, jerky throttle then button off then back on throttle is not the way to get the best out of it, and low range was not needed with the monstrous torque the V10 has.
Yep. Buy tires and leave vw where it is.
Hi guys!
is the A track works on rear wheels as well? (i thought only front)
Yes A-trac works both front and rear. Also A-trac only works on 4L and at low speed - below 6kph. When both A-trac and rear diff lock are enabled, most of the time we can only notice A-trac working on the front wheels as both rear wheels will be turning at the same speed thus the sensors won't sense any loss of traction to activate A-trac at the rear.
@@Laval1 appreciate your information !
Hi nice content...was fj on 4lo automatic mode or in 4lo 2nd gear
When off-road, most of the time I'm not on automatic. Yes I was in 4 lo, 2nd gear when driving up steep dunes/hills.
Flying is fun until you unleash the airbags.
Definitely agree! Safety first. We need to be more careful next time.
What exhaust is on the cement fj ?
Its the PPD Performance
@@Laval1 nice
The FJ is a quitntesential offroader , designed that way from the start , with enough power and performance , ze germans however , make something bloated and over luxurious , add all the tech they can find and far too much power , to make an unreliable attempt at being a Land Rover product , while pandering to Porsche's needs for a suv , that is why the fj still sells to this day and vw are on a different generation of barge with no low range and very few offroad options . Speaks volumes !
Totally agree.
Nah... the Touareg looked more like an issue of tyres and lack of throttle control.
Did you use 4x4hi or 4x4 Lo, uphill & down hill, no locker or atrac?
When climbing steep hills up or down, I usually use 4x4 lo both on sand and hard surfaces. On sand I do not use locker or atrac unless I'm crawling over big holes. When I drive on loose flat surfaces such as on the beach, I use 4x4 hi and I always disable the traction control so that to avoid the VSC and other traction aids to kick in and cause me to lose momentum.
How do you disable the traction control on High mode? My FJ does not have such a function
@@mantasr6649 Mine is a 2012 model, there is a VSC Off switch to the right of RR Diff Lock switch. Stop the car with engine on, press this switch for about 3-5 seconds, 2 warning lights will light up on the dashboard when disabled. When the car is turned off, all return to normal.
@@mantasr6649 what model is your Fj ?
@@mantasr6649 If you don't have the VSC Off button, you can unplug the ABS wire to the pump. I would only do this if absolutely necessary.
use buggy whip flag he he
Fj s are not standard typical toyota always cheating
VW Offroad lol
You don't know much, do you?
@@einfelder8262 I do - I've seen vw's in various states of disrepair. Not Toyota.
@@nofyfb123 You're detached from reality. Here in Australia, you can't buy a Toyota engine out of a crashed car because they are all snapped up in advance to replace thousands of blown up D4Ds and V series.
@@einfelder8262 I may be detached from Australian reality but I am very well attached to American reality.
@@nofyfb123 Then I suggest you restrict your commentary to American reality, and keep away from Australian reality about which you clearly know nothing.
so in other words do NOT buy a VW
