I've watched all of those videos, lol.
      I have a valid question.
Why are we still being told (by government, CDC, etc) to get a booster shot or even a 2nd booster shot for some?
Viruses mutate. New variants will inevitably develop. The current Covid-19 vaccines offer no protection against the Omicron variants.
I'm fully vaccinated & have chosen to skip a booster.
My common sense tells me that it's basically an exercise in futility to get 1 the current vaccines. I'd welcome a totally new vaccine that's been tailored to the current variants.
I believe the federal government is pushing these boosters without considering the medical science. Of course, Big Pharma is going along with it bc selling more vaccines makes them wealthier.
      That is iniquitos to me.
My question is can you, Dr. Moran, explain the benefits, or lack there of, for our high risk folks getting their 1st or 2nd booster of the currently available Covid-19 vaccines?
      Thanx bunches🥰🙏

Btw. could you possibly make a video on why the mere exposure to the spike protein due to mRNA vaccination was supposed to generate better protection than exposure to the complete virus in the first place. To me this seems simply ilogical, but it is possible that I just lack knowledge of the underlying principles. So I would be really greatful, if you could take some time to explain it with your great gift of explaining complex topics to be accessable for basic common sense. Of course if you cannot find time for that, I will still be as grateful for all the videos you have made.

I would like to think medical professionals in the US have learned from this fiasco. But, I think they have given in to politics and politicians and have thrown away common sense and medicine. If it happens again in a year, I think things will be the same. Fear plus politics will rule once again. Here in VA vaccines are still being pushed and the repercussions ignored.

Throughout the whole pandemic I've gone about life like normal. I haven't taken the V, I've worked 100%. My kids have attended school 100%, unmasked. My mother(not V'd) has had no restrictions from us. I've had C0VID-19, my mom as well. To us it was like a very weak cold. Most people at work and most of my friends have had C0VID-19. No deaths, no serious illness. I live in Sweden, and thankfully the government here didn't go all out fascist as in many other european countries. So, no lockdowns, no mask mandates here. What is really sad is how the heros became zeros because they refused to be vaccinated. After a year of dealing with the virus pre-vaccine, and making it through, why would things suddenly be different post vaccine? What is even more appalling, if someone is not vaccinated, what difference does it make to others, especially to those who are vaccinated? What are THEY afraid of? Doesn't personal risk mean anything anymore? I refuse to wear a mask because it cause anxiety, and I start to have panic attacks, so if I don't wear one, the only person at risk is ME, not anyone else wearing a mask. This is what is the problem today.

What is really sad is that the clinical trials for the vaccines were performed on the population. Evidence is showing more and more problems with the vaccines ranging from an increasing list of side effects to suppressing the bodies ability to fight off Covid 19.

Sadly, there are too many variables that make it more difficult to judge that, e.g. median age of the population in many African countries is way lower than in the western world, so that the groups who are really affected by the virus hardly exist. Also, since there weren't many public restrictions, many people had contact to a variant and therefore have natural immunity (one might argue the immune system is different as there are different standards of hygiene in general). So, hard to say. However, I have a feeling you might be right :)

Zach, nasal sinus rinse products can flush away allergens and virus. Any time I get a nasal or sinus viral infection with runny nose I use a nasal sinus rinse product. It has been shown in some studies to be helpful in some clinical studies of viral infections. It does not have a downside. Ear nose and throat specialists use antiseptics like povidone at the beginning of an operation to prevent infection. It seems reasonable to study this to see whether it can reduce viral load. There was one very small study from Augusta, Georgia suggesting benefit but has not been replicated. I don't know whether any of this helps with COVID infections but it's a reasonable thing to research further.

On 2), said researchers and doctors were often the most vocal supporters of societal restrictions and legally binding covid protocols which ultimately did more harm than good, or were totally useless, as well as the medical apartheid of vaccine mandates which have proven to be rather worthless as well. Many of the mistakes on your list are entirely the doing of these same people. It is a little difficult to feel sympathy for someone who has been "personally insulted" but then has been on board with masking toddlers or letting people die alone, or pretending natural immunity didn't exist. There is a reckoning that is due and just because normal life is back doesn't mean a lot of people are going to forgive, or forget. The last 2 years have been a formative period.

"While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument."

Why have the official recommendations never mentioned anything about Vitamin D, selenium, and better eating habits?
At first, I assumed that they wanted to keep the message simple enough to fit on a bumper sticker, and they were afraid that people would regard the nutritional precautions as a substitute for physical distancing and masking up. However, it's clear that most of the people who felt that they were above vaccination, masking up, and physical distancing didn't even bother to look for such a pretense. Only a very small percentage of the population gets enough Vitamin D. McDonald's, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Cholesterol, and Heart Attack Grill haven't gone out of business. The junk food manufacturers aren't drowning in inventories of unsold Mountain Dew, Cheetos, Little Debbie snack cakes, Milk Duds, Cocoa Puffs, and Froot Loops.

Sounds like a medical benefit that would not support supplement manufacturers since the supplement is very inexpensive!

On vaccine choice I fully agree but would also add there should be choice in the method of delivery - the UK did not allow aspiration while injecting. Countries where aspiration was mandatory had far fewer serious adverse effects to the vaccines - some of those clotting and myocarditis events and deaths were possibly preventable just by aspirating. People that asked for aspiration were essentially told they were simple and it wasn't an option.

    • @MedicinewithDrMoran
      @MedicinewithDrMoran  2 роки тому

Matt, this is why one of the biggest mistakes is the research and the reporting of the research in this pandemic. The Brazilian ivermectin study was an observational study not a proper randomized double-blind control study and unfortunately it does have methodological flaws which many have pointed out amongst other things. It was not published in a major medical journal. I do not believe that the 2 groups in that study were comparable as I mentioned in my video. The Together trial, www.togethertrial.com/ which is a randomized controlled platform-based trial looked at numerous inexpensive drugs in the hope that we would find something that we could repurposed. It was a Canadian-Brazilian collaboration which showed the benefit of Fluvoxamine which is $4 per course. One of the study authors was my former residency program director. They did study ivermectin and this was not shown to be of benefit. The ivermectin study from the together trial was published in the New England Journal of Medicine a few days ago.The problem here is that a lot of people report the conclusion of a study as if it's fact even though it may be methodologically flawed and not able to be reproduced. Critical appraisal of medical research is very important and to be honest it's a skill that very few people on social media have even people with millions of followers.

I agree completely. Quite early on it was clear that the chance of dying from this infection was very low if you were younger without comorbidities versus the elderly. The death rates that were getting reported in the media were significantly falsely elevated and did not include all people who were getting infected. It's why I ended up by making several videos on the odds of dying from COVID on the channel about a year and 1/2 ago.

I've also been listening to John Campbell and he seems to have more hope for Ivermectin than you or anyone else I've listened to. In any case it's not anything I would take just because someone on UA-cam tells me to.

People need to form their own opinions based on research. It needs to be well done evidence-based research. The key here is that people need to have a good knowledge of critical appraisal of medical research and I think there are very few people out there that have this. The likelihood that this medication has a benefit is extremely small.

We had a flu, bad cold, and afraid it was COVID. We got the test strips and all three of us were negative. However, my grand-daughter was playing with her Barbie and there were extra test strips and she picked up one, unwrapped it, and place it on Barbie's head. Well, surprise, surprise, Barbie had a POSITIVE reaction. True story. So, how can we really believe any of this garbage they are giving us?

In a fit of stupidity, local skate parks were closed. Those are outdoor areas where people get intense exercise. Gyms and other exercise facilities were closed. The second time they tried to close gyms, there was enough pushback that had to reverse course.

Regarding #4 - instructions to stay at home. There is a difference between what you can do in the short term and what you can do for long term health. Isolation is the correct thing to do when faced with a current infectious disease. I am not against public health messages to lead a healthy lifestyle but the medical community has been broadcasting that message for generations. If you are faced with an immediate risk of exposure to an infectious virus you don't have 6 months to a year to improve your health.

Regardless of your observations the stark realities that played out the past two years included: Covid infection rates over sold, Publicized vaccination efficacious significantly lower than stated, All purported vaccines approved solely for emergency use, Vaccine pre-trial, testing, and test results significantly flawed by short cycling results and skewed recording,

7:35-the ivermectin studies with “limitations” bc the two groups (getting, and not getting ivermectin) were very different…I would like to know what those differences in the groups were. Were they young vs old? Rich vs poor? Male vs female? Hospitalized vs non-hospitalized? Physically fit vs morbidly obese? Would love more details or a link to the studies.

Sunny, one study was comparing ivermectin to Remdesivir. The researchers look retrospectively back at their database I noticed the patient's who took ivermectin did better. The problem with the study is that we as physicians were only giving Remdesivir when people were much sicker (based on a previous study showing benefit in that sicker population). The other study came from Brazil and compared prophylactic ivermectin versus no ivermectin. The main problem with that was that this was a person's choice to take it. People who choose to take ivermectin may be much more concerned about catching COVID and not have the same risk of exposure to those who did not take it and thus you might expect that people taking ivermectin develop COVID much less frequently. This is potentially a huge confounder.
