After playing…..well hitting for a couple months and watching scores of UA-cam PGA professionals. This has been the only video that I’ve taken on board, gone to the driving range and hit with my 5 iron consistently. Although consistently shite it’s an improvement from where I was. The explanation of the wall made a massive difference and the rotation of the body as I found I was leaning too much. I have subscribed and will be watching all the other Videos
Good video, Chris. When I try to stay centred, I feel that 80-90% of pressure is on my lead foot and it doesn't feel 'natural'. Thoughts?

I stared golf for the first time yesterday on the driving range. Today was my second day. I’ve never played golf. I’ve never hit a golf ball before. But I’d bet a guy that I could hit a golf ball 300 yards. Well, good news, I like golf and I’m starting a new hobbies. Bad news, I lost the bet and can’t even hit the ball. And when I did it went way right. And after 2 days total of 3 hours at the driving range, my best hit was only 219 yards and was pure luck. I always thought that driving a golf ball was easy. So there for I never cared to play. It’s a boring game and I don’t like it has been my mind set. I’m 38 years old and found today that I love golf! But becUse it’s a damn challenge!! Oh I’ve not even swong a iron yet. Just driver. I have played putt putt a few times over the years and I am good at putting. I putted today 5 balls and done great. I’ve got putting down enough that I can play 18. But I’ve got a long way to go to be able to play 18. But all I can think about is golf lol. I’m buying clubs, gloves, cleats, shirts, esc esc everything that I need this weekend to be ready to learn. I love this! And I drink beer and I’m married… yea so why not.
Golf is the most difficult sport in the world, yet the most beautiful. Lol, hitting 300 yards is for experts not beginners! But 300 yards mean nothing if you can't land in the fairway. Much better a consistent 250 yards in fairway than 330 yards mostly in rough. Also, you shouldnt start with the driver but irons!! You need to build and find your swing. Golf is not about distance as most beginners think, it's about accuracy, finesse and consistency.
@@mariooo88 yesterday afternoon and today I’m working on irons. I’ve got a swing down finally. I’ve found “my whipping action” - ball location, contact point, esc for my swings. The iron was total different from driver for sure. But the iron was a little easier or me. Where as for my two buddies are the opposite. These are better with the driver. Right now at 100 yards I can hit a green. At 50 years I’m way over and 150 I’m way under. All my iron hits are falling at 100 yards. But if I slow down my swing or speed up my swing I lose my accuracy. My 100 yard on 9 iron is perfect. But I’ve got figure out / get sand wedge and pitching wedge to see if they will help for my accurate swing speed. I’ve got so much to learn yet it’s crazy. But that’s what making it fun. I’m an artist / musician / tournament fisherman / professional chef / so the art behind it is driving me
Free money - you're NEVER hitting a range ball 300 yards, they are restricted in their flight on purpose. Stop balls flying out of the range.
@@electricalstuff259 the range info do has old play balls mixed in and I can see the difference. The range balls today I was accurately hitting 210 years which is waaaay better than my first to times. With the Nike ball I hit a straight 236. And Galloway ball slices a little at 311 which still was very happy with that I even broke 300 yards today even if it was a little sliced. It won’t be long at all and I’ll be out driving my two buddies who’ve been playing for months already. I can tell from the online lessons I’ve took that improved my swing 50/60%. And I see that my buddies aren’t watching any “how to” videos. I found a pro tour guy that’s been teaching pros for years giving free lessons so I watched all big videos and done all he said do. And finally found my swing. A comfortable swing. And that’s big for me bc I’ve not felt comfortable swinging the driver yet until I swing 200+ practice swings yesterday and found my swing. So I was inching to get to the range today to see if I could beat my longest shot from last trip out before I found my swing. My top was like 209 and I crushed that today all through the practice set.
