Great results mate, and so great to see you looking and feeling so well. You're so humble and down-to-earth yet you're rewriting the book on nutrition - going where nobody has gone before (and documenting it). Keep going, Andrew - you're awesome!
Thanks for the support! I'm having such a great time :-)
Hi, I just came across your videos this week, I am Canadian. My folk always put a large store of potatoes in the root cellar for winter. I love what you're doing in challenging "traditional thinking" of the last 50-75 years. When food storage like frigs and freezers did not exist our ancestors ate what was available. The balanced diet is a creation of the government who thinks they are allowed to run our lives and tell us what to eat and how to think and which hand to wipe our arse with. Our body's are complex and A plus B does not always equal C. I was eating keto at the beginning of the year (1600 cal.) and exercising. Some or most weeks I lost no weight while others melt away on that same plan. Have you developed new people skills while documenting your life so publicly? You certainly have a glow , take care.
Good idea, I'd need a pretty big cellar! ;-) Yes this has totally changed my life and given me new confidence, not to mention helping me beat depression and anxiety. Thanks for your kind words :-)
I'm just come home from shopping. It's pretty easy now - 10 Kg of potatoes and some spices ;-)
haha awesome!
Great results! So inspirational!!
Congratulations again on your wonderful achievement. You continue to inspire me. Have a great day!
Thanks!
Way to go! You're doing amazingly well!
Thanks!
Great stuff Andrew. Test results are important, but as important....you look fantastic and just so happy.
Thanks Chris :-)
I started this 3 days ago. You did a fantastic job! I bought your book as well. Hopefully I get similar results. Thanks!
Awesome, well done! If you can follow the rules 100% you will get similar results for sure. Trust the process :-)
I just love what you've done man, to show my support I ain't never gonna skip or close your ads :)
He is a true inspiration.
Thanks!
Congratulations - your blood stats. look great....cheers
Thanks :-)
That's spud-awesome news
That's brilliant. I am now eating lots more Potatoes as a whole lunch. They fill you up and you loose weight, it's great. Plus they are so cheap here in the UK. If the government's educated people on low wages to eat potatoes, it could really help them.
Yes great point, this is such a cheap, healthy way to eat!
The dairy, poultry, beef, pork and fish producers would lobby the government and probably have already done so. A plant based diet is the way to go and you can easily grown your own. My son eats very little meat some chicken or salmon, lots of different veggies and he loves sweet potatoes the orange type, broccoli, beetroot, carrots, brussel sprouts. He does have some that he does not like which for someone with Prader-Willi Syndrome is unknown; as far as I am aware.
After being on the SpudFit challenge for five weeks, in addition to the weight loss I am astounded at how much money is left over in my bank account which is indicative of what I was blowing in restaurants, snacks, sodas, and on junk food.
Awesome! Well done!
thanks!
Thank you so much for documenting your journey to shut up all the naysayers and critics! You look fantastic! Any thoughts on what you will do when the year is up? So curious!
Here's a video I made about my plans for next year. Basically it's all about whole food plant based - ua-cam.com/video/3vhTuomvM0I/v-deo.html
thanks for the update
no worries :-)
Hey mate, congrats on your achievement. Very well done! I'm keen to give it a go do you take supplements to add in what the potatoes don't have? FIsh oil and all that?
good luck mate! only supplement i take is B12. Check out the FAQ page at www.spudfit.com for more questions and answers :-)
Congratulations and big thumbs up to continued success. I have one question. Did you choose to eat potatoes only because it was simple?
simple and healthy, yes :-)
Awesome 🤘🏻💚
Blood tests aren't everything, but they're a good indicator that you're doing well. Cheers!
Agreed, how I feel is most important.
The reports states mild neutropenia is your count normally low; as can be the case for some people. Nothing to worry about. Or where you fighting off a cold, flu or something? Another reason could be vitamin deficiency. I am looking to try this myself, but my autistic ways are to ask questions and research before trying something. Thanks
I really just leave the blood results to my doctor, he's an amazing guy who I trust. He says nothing to worry about so I don't worry. I feel great too.
Working my way through your videos. The reason for the elevated haemoglobin levels did you find out the reason? The report gives some reasons : dehydration and polycythemia being a few. Thanks.
They're only slightly elevated, not a worry.
+Spud Fit Thanks. I am getting over some post-tramatic stress disorder and as I stated before recently diagnosed with autism. I know diet help with autism B6 and cannabis oil and glutin free making huge benefits. If this diet can help me lose some excess fat that I gained after having to go on sick leave then sick benefits and help increase the positive attitude that is a struggle to maintain. Depression is the worst strength sapper I know.
+Spud Fit The mild thrombocytopenia is no worry also? These are the same as previous or just slightly elevated. Sorry; for the questions. I analysis my son's blood tests every 6 -12 months.
Iron (Ferritin) was high for a vwgan who's not supplementing and higher than much higher that your previous. Did you take something or use fortified foods?
Yes that was interesting. No I haven't taken anything or had any fortified foods. Will be interesting to see what happens next time...
He is eating heavy metals in the starches and its showing up in blood tests which are a joke and not a measure of health.
Hello does anybody have any suggestions i have 2 questionsI eat mainly raw vegetables Fruit Boiled potato Spices and very little salt and very very little oil NowI know my body is very rehydrated and it won.t retain . As soon as I drink a glass of water i go to the toiletEven if i don.t drink any water i go to the toilet many Times especilally at night and my mouth is very very dry. I.m not diabetic. My body won.t retain any water I.ve read that most Fruit and vegetables esp. Leafy Greens have diuretic effect. What can i eat or do for dehydration. Drinking water won.t helpMy second questionIs eating mainly raw not good for People who have kidney failure Thanks
You're eating food that is very high in water content so you don't need to drink as much as you think. You're getting lots of water from your food. Best thing is to check the colour of your urine. If it's yellow you need to drink some more and if it's clear then you're well hydrated. Apart from that just drink when you feel thirsty.
Thanks a lot spud fit i never feel thirsty but my mouth is very very dry at night it.s so dry that i can.t even swallow or speaK. Thanks a lot
how many cals do you eat a day ? pretty impressive
I don't track anything. I just eat as much as I feel like, whenever I feel like. I tracked a few days earlier out of curiosity in the year and was over 3000cals a day on average.
Hi there, just wondering can I ask what blood type you have please? my mom is interested in the Blood Type Diet by Dr. D'Adamo, but she's O+ and it tells her to eat meat, nuts and seeds! I'm not sure I'm for it, what have other people heard? thanks in advance!
I can't remember what my blood type is. Doesn't matter though as the blood type diet is bogus. Please ask your mum to check out this link - nutritionfacts.org/video/blood-type-diet-debunked/
+Spud Fit thank you very much- keep doing what you're doing!
Your A1C is elevated...What is the number? Optimal is in the 5 range.....
My A1C in this test was 5, which is slightly up compared the 4.8 on the previous test
@@SpudFit That is fantastic!! Thank you for your reply
Is it possible to bake the potatoes in the microwave?
Lee many people have told me they do that but I've never done it myself...
Yeah I bake mine in the microwave, I cook them for about five minutes. 2:30 on one side and flip. Make sure you poke holes in the potato before you put it into the microwave because it will explode if you don't.
You must have saved a lot of money on food.
yes indeed, this is a very cheap way to eat!
I am going to try this. I want to lose at least 60lbs. hope it works! 😊
It will work if you focus on changing you mindset and your behaviour and forget about how much you want to lose :-) Go get it!
thanks! I will be starting this potato diet tomorrow. I'm excited! wish me luck!
No luck needed. Just follow the rules and you'll do fine :-)
will do. thanks!
b12?
We didn't worry about testing it this time because it's always good. I've been supplementing B12 so no reason to worry.
Do you pay attention to potatoes being not gmo ?
No I just eat what ever is cheapest and easiest to get.
:) thanks for the answers. Were you a food addict too did you have a lot of appetite because some overweight People never complain about food addiction and big appetite. How is it Now do you have cravings for any food or to eat in big quantity
Thanks
Yes and I still have a big appetite, I eat a lot of spuds but it's no problem. :-)
:( i.m sorry to hear this i dont have weight problem Now either but i want to get rid of excessive appetite :( i want to like a normal person and feel full and forget about food until i.m really hungry again
But that's exactly what I do. I eat until I'm full and forget about it. Just because you have a big appetite makes no difference, if you're eating the right foods you can have a big appetite and it's all good.
That's no blood test result!!! Because what about important blood test like,,,, diabetes, iron, triglycerides ect levels???
They're all there. My iron, blood sugar and trigycerides are all great! Look again.
That crazy no deficiencies...and no constipation...if I ate pure starch I'd be blocked up for weeks...only thing I can see is ur alt jumped up a bit but other then that
no way you'd get blocked up with this much fibre
