- Massive monster dovii cichlid in it's 1100L (290 gal) tank the dovii is about 45cm ( 18 inches) long

Standard 6 foot fish tank sump with roughly 60L inbuilt tank DIY built with lighting under the tank inside the stand with ×4 flood lights attached to the roof with a couple cheap and expensive aquarium lights and a couple big fancy drop down lights

too many wood and rocks it's 3 feet back and only 1 foot of that doesn't have rocks and wood there and the whole thing is like a massive cave system where convict cichlids breed and the pleco, female Dovii and tilapia live, the tilapia has been in there since he was 3 inches long and the dovii was around 13 inches long and the convicts have been in there since just about 2 inches long and the dovii was about 12 inches long and now the convicts are some are about 6 inches thanks for the concern but everything should be alright also adding in his not actually bad temper except when foods in the tank all the fish get along until food hits the water and everyone gets there feed we make sure of that
What will happen is the butti will get to big and won't be able to escape! He's not to rough on him now cause he is not a threat. The bigger the butti gets the more of a threat he will pose and the dovii will get less tolerant! Love the set up tho
How old was he when he first started getting his hump on his head? He’s looking good 👍 I like how some people watch a short video & think that’s how the tank is 24/7 😂😂
Haha yeah lol it's just coz he's the biggest so when food goes in he owns it lol everyone gets there food ahaha and I wouldn't know age I never kept track but size was about 6 inches (15cm) when this one started getting one
Don’t worry I never assume anything after watching a short video.. your fish look very healthy 👍 I had someone comment on one of my videos where my male showed a little bit of aggression.. I only posted it after someone else commented on a previous video of how much of a pussy he is 😂😂👍 looks like my male won’t get a hump as he is already 13 inches 😞 oh well he still looking good 👍

Well yes if that was the real case here, none of the fish get harassed unless there's food in the tank other then that there fine with each other we just fed them thus why big boss is chasing away they all get there food there all to fast for him with convicts even breeding in there with him and he's actually really well tempered for a Dovii only ever chasing away if there's no food if the other fish go near his terracotta pot gives them a bit of a chase for 20 or so cm then backs off doesn't nip them or anything the convicts are worse then the dovii
@@thenamesfrog85their’s is no food in the tank so the dovii has nothing to fight over the dovii normally behaves like that and will kill in any fish in the tank unless there’s another fish that can beat him or enough provided space which one mean at least 300 gallon to have no behavior like shown in the video. After feeding and with no food left they claim down. They just go hide normally after, or go to there spot in the tank that they claim.

Nah mate been in there since 2 inches now 6 inches long and never gets hot by the dovii he's to quick for him plus this is ONLY during feeding and just after for a few minutes even the 3 inch convicts are fine, as U can clearly see there's not 1 mark on the fish from fighting none of the fish do except the female dovii which is obviously to be expected
Plus the tank is 1100 liters it's not a small tank
