This is my first time in years, straying from David Austin with the Kordes Earth Angel rose. Of course it bloomed while I was on vacation, but there were still several left. Just gorgeous. Beautiful tight formation of the flower. Turned more white as it got older. Your garden is magnificent, Thx for sharing!
I've been gardening for over 40 years, Master Gardener 20+ years, needless to say, I've met many so called " gardeners" and I can honestly say, you guys are true Gardeners with a masters!!!! Beautiful combinations, great clusters of plants, gorgeous specimens, great color combos!!!! Can't wait to see this garden mature and watch as your lawn gets smaller with new beds!!! LOL Love your enthusiasm and can hear in your voices how proud you are of your creation!!! Keep it up, love you guys!!!
@@growformegardening I’m moving 5 hours North in Indiana from a 1.3 acre 6b garden, gardening under massive Oak trees to a .27 suburban lot in zone 5. I have a fairly clean slate with which to work and I’m looking forward to the new challenge. Just discovered your channel and really enjoyed the tour.
Your channel is also so good to understand your plant names. Here in Christchurch, NewZealand, your BoxWood is known as Bucks, although I've heard it called box too
@@growformegardening Midnight Sun Weigela and Steady Eddy Doublefile Viburnum. I wrote them in my book to buy next year. I am in the process of creating my gardens. I have done some videos. I am not very good at creating videos but you get the idea. I do videos for my family as they live across Canada.
your both so knowledgable.. beautiful garden (im sure you know already but the quality and sound was so much better in your first video, I know you may be trying new ways of doing things 🙂)
Thanks!! I need to figure out how to save seeds just in case these don’t come back. Once I have some I’ll send some to you! They would look so good in a container.
Lovely variety of plants and even better colour combinations. You guys have a great eye for design. I'm definitely looking forward to more viewing.😊 Wish we had the variety of proven winners in our small pacific country. Joanna from New Zealand
Eric and Chris, what a fine garden you two presented. I enjoyed your tour very much and your selection of plants are a grand mix. I loved seeing it all, but my personal favorite has to be the contorted Larch. Thanks for the great tour! BTW, we visited a gorgeous private garden in Nunda yesterday, just stunning with its’ high old stone walls! As I get older(I’m now 76) I want to create more and more gardens! It is harder and takes longer, but that’s okay, it is worth the sweat equity! Keep growing and showing, Gail❤️
Wow I was sad when it was over! I loved getting to go through the plant groupings with you! So fun. And you got a pink mink clematis💕 you’re going to love it!
Everything looks gorgeous and very professionally done. I especially love your hardscaping (pavers with stones in between). I am actually going to copycat this idea as it looks perfect.
Looks fantastic! 😀😀😀 Nice to see the midnight sun weigelas. I have been searching all the garden centers for it for the past two yrs. I might buy it online or see if a nursery will order for me next spring. I want to get as a present for my dad.
I enjoyed this tour of your beautiful garden ! Christopher, would it be possible for you to have your own mic ? Both of you are quite knowledgeable and I don't want to miss what you are saying. Thanks for sharing your garden with us
Very nice. How do you keep rabbits of of your petunias...and roses? Do you spray? Interesting how tight your walkers low nepeta are planted - mine get easily 4 feet wide before I cut them back hard.
@@growformegardening Bobbex spray works well too. Plantskydd too but it's veryyy gross. Rabbits absolutely love gomphrena - for me they are gone first. You're lucky you don't have voles or deer!
Gosh I hate to give advice when we've only had ours a year. I know when plants are young sometimes they just decide they've had enough and give up. Maybe too much water considering you have clay?
Beautiful gardens! Love the videos but I hear the one voice very clear then it fads off to the other voice. Hard to vocus with the folume up and down. Thanks!
Noted! We are working out the kinks, thank you for the feedback. We are going to try switching who wears the microphone…since Eric talks much louder in general! Haha.

I’m excited to see how Earth Angel progresses. The bare root we were sent was tiny but very very healthy. We had two small blooms that were very nice.

Every thing so Beautiful ,well done! I love your garden!

Loved the garden. The diversity of plants is very nice, and repetition of some plantings was well done!
Really like the use of the vertical structure.
Thank you very much! Those were our main goals so it’s very nice to hear that it was noticed!

It’s over already!?!? I love how both of you trade off speaking about each plant. It keeps your interest

Yes, thanks. The audio was a challenge for this video. We will keep refining!
Absolutely gorgeous - do you get your seedlings started in a green house? When do you start them?
Yes we do. We have a little greenhouse in our basement!
Depending on the seeds, some start as early as March.
Beyond gorgeous I love the mirroring and structures used with the variety of plants. Stunning do you both do landscape design work?
We don’t actually. It’s something we have been considering in the future. It’s just our hobby for now!
Definitely consider it I can be your first customer!
Very nice. How do you keep rabbits of of your petunias...and roses? Do you spray? Interesting how tight your walkers low nepeta are planted - mine get easily 4 feet wide before I cut them back hard.
Oh it’s a challenge. There’s a product called rabbit scram that is helpful. Not perfect but it’s pretty good.
The walkers low did get huge but they really create a beautiful hedge.

@@bohnnco we have forever wild behind our berm so the animals are always there...we just have to pray to the garden gods to keep them away!
Did you put any soil amendments in? Everything looks so lush!
Absolutely. We almost always add Espoma Bio-Tone to the planting holes. We also mulch with compost so there is a constant refresh of the soil.
@@growformegardening thanks so much!
