Man the lighting in your studio is like a scene out of Stranger Things... looks epic!

Soothe has saved me many potential headaches. Absolutely love that plugin. That and the Kazrog True Iron are used in everything that I do.
Neural DSP Parallax is another great bass plugin. The amount of control you have over every parameter possible is insane.
Great video, btw! Always look forward to new stuff from you!

I'm still in the pre-recording phase of my journey, but have wondered about plugins and how to get better sounds. You showed some really good ones. I saved it to my DAW playlist for later. Good show! Thanks!

I got the CLA bass plugin after watching your other video about it. It makes getting good bass tone super fast/easy so I can get to recording bass lines and stay in the creative flow 😊

If you wanna hear what soothe is doing you can press the delta button under the mix percentage and it will play only the removed frequencies

Classic plugins for sure!! MV2 is so good. CLA bass too! And by the way I LOVE that bass tone. Whatever that bass amp is, I would LOVE to get a capture of that. Sorry to be a Tonex capture pest btw 😂 and lastly, I laughed out loud when you talked about wave cuz literally they have a sale for $29.99 365 days a year saying “lowest price of the year”. Too funny 😂😂

CLA Bass is the only thing I need for bass, wish it was available as a pedal :)

I've just gotten more "serious" about mixing (i.e. bought a few plugins^^). I really love the SoundToys Radiator to beef up the bass guitar or to add grit to the drum kit. I'm still using a lot of the stock Logic plugins for compression, limiter and EQ.
Also pro tip for Logic Drummer: There are producer kits where you can fine-tune each single part of the kit. My favorite right now is the Brooklyn kit (gritty indie rock). And the Motown Revisited with lots of compression and dirt is great to get into Tame Impala drum sound territory.

And what I forgot to mention: Great video! I wanna see more Living Room Producer Deep Dives! ;)

Nice! And thanks. A plugin that both me and probably you need is a distressor plugin. They're all so expensive though, but I'd love to have one!

The J37 is something I can’t go without at all. I use it on practically every track to get that nice tape sound. Also not a plug-in but something I can’t live without is my TC Electronic June-60 chorus. It’s basically a no knob version of the Juno chorus.

I demoed Soothe 2 and DSEQ 3 and ended up buying the latter. it’s half the price and does the job equally well in my experience.

Right, haven't tried DSEQ 3 yet. I have Soothe, so...

I loved the Arturia PUs you demoed here, I did not even know them. I have all Soundtoys, all valhalla etc but that delay sounds so so good. I bought the CLA3 because of you lol and now I need that Arturia 1176 damn…

    We like Harsh Harshness lovely
but then I heard your presentation and emm you make some very good sounds man
    However
You can get lost in vST plugins so if your happy with the old waves stuff
stick with it at the end of the day it’s the music we put out that cuts not the plugins

I didn't even know this was controversial. It's pretty obvious to me that new speakers needs to be broken in.

    • @JohnnyMidgey
      @JohnnyMidgey Рік тому

@@LivingroomGearDemos Oh, it is THAT controversial. To me, the idea that breaking in is actually in your head makes it all even more interesting.
