I got fired for making UA-cam videos at work so now I'm all in on this journey! THIS VLOG METHOD IS AMAZING. My channel was dead in the water since 2022. 38 subs. I started using the 3T’s in June 2024. Right after the Think podcast ep with Benji. 1271 subs and growing in October. 45k views. Less than 30 vlogs in. Multiple videos with over 1k views. One with 11k views. Closed one new client and growing my community and my email list too - with really happy thankful ppl. … all on a channel about small business marketing and habits, of all things! So so thankful that you had this interview with Benji - AND that you’re replaying it so more people can get going! LESGOOOOOOOO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just implemented this formula. As mentioned in the video, you never learn if you do not post a video. It felt weird talking while walking, and some people stared at me, which made me feel strange and awkward. With more reps in, I will feel at peace in a few months with the consistency.
Choose a topic. Give that topic right away. minimum 20 minutes of that topic. Minimum 40 minutes for the whole video. For the last half, do some other cool stuff that MIGHT make people want to stick around. If they click off, doesn't matter, you delivered on that topic. People who stick around, like you for you. This strat has been working really well for my second channel
He’s right because I just started my channel three months ago and I already surpassed the 100 subscriber threshold. I talk about mindset shifts, how I learned them and how you can integrate it.
This is exactly what I needed to see as I transition my channel away from being a static sit-down talking channel, to a more active telling stories channel. Thank you!!
Vlogging is even better if you take use of some amazing third party tools and services (I am mainly speaking about using a little bit of Famester to make your content go viral as soon as possible).
Great information I am restarting my channel again. Many friends have been asking me to make videos about how I transitioned from a traditional home to living in an RV with my dogs and traveling full time in the US, Canada and Mexico while still working.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together. I've been on the fence about vlogging because I thought I'd need high production. You've inspired me and the '100 questions' strategy is a game-changer. 😊
Lmao. You don't listen to the videos then. It's a technique that obviously worked on you because you watched the entire 20 minutes and only needed to watch 5! Waisted your own time, Jack!
This is extremely helpful because I've been wanting to vlog for so long, but the thought of having a perfect vlog where I wake up have tea, workout, do a morning routine, etc... was really overwhelming and made me shy away from even trying. But sticking to one topic seems so doable and I'm finally motivated!
Wow. Just thank you for this. The longer I thought about a UA-cam channel the more time went on and I thought it was too late. I don’t think that anymore!
1. Focus on One Topic Per Video • Instead of vlogging your entire day, focus on a single theme or topic, like “$100 Costco Haul” or “How to Make Chicken Adobo.” This makes each video more discoverable, searchable, and engaging for viewers with specific interests. 2. Keep It Casual and Relatable • Film in a simple, conversational style, like you’re talking to a friend. Skip high production and extensive edits-viewers connect better with casual, authentic content. Sharing personal stories that relate to the topic adds personality without overwhelming the video. 3. Use the Three T’s Framework: Theme, Takeaway, and Telling Stories • Theme: Establish a consistent theme for your channel (e.g., food, travel). • Takeaway/Topic: Each video should answer a question or provide a valuable insight related to the theme. • Telling Stories: Integrate personal stories or experiences that make the content unique and relatable to viewers, enhancing the takeaway. This new approach is all about simplicity, consistency, and connecting with viewers over shared interests.
Thank the lord!!! I am a year behind where I want to be BC I could never get recording just right (and I'm a photographer so bad videography was painful lol) so I just made a cute collage on the wall and made it my morning coffee blog on the phone lol

Hi there, I have a wide range of interests.I have two questions: 1) Would it help to create different UA-cam channels for each interest or themes? For example Channel 1 would be something like "Film Reviews by Andrea", the second one would be "Tourism on a Budget by Andrea", the third one "Current Affairs by Andrea" etc. 2)I really like the 3T approach: Theme, Takeaway, Tell A Story. Also, I'm unable to put my clients on the internet as most of them are virtual. I'd love to adopt some vlog-style videos, just not sure how to do it!

Love This Thank You. Yes I'm excited for this type of vlogging coming back 🙌🏼 And there's something about the way Benji explains things that's very understandable, encouraging and informative. Thanks guys! 🙏🏼
I pretty much just started and do nature based/cinematic vlogs. Hiking and stuff. Will see how it goes. Im not a naitive english speaker so its a bit of a challenge to talk for long before messing up. Often I have to do several takes and then cut the talk together.
I'm not an English native speaker too, and just don't care. Believe me as long as people understand overall what you are saying, they enjoy it. Good luck mate 💪
I'm doing exactly this with my new PC build video. I think PC builders have been doing this for a while. Going to Microcenter, picking out the parts, putting the PC together while talking to their audience. Focused vlogging has been a thing for a while with that genre.
wow I have to comment. Thank you. I feel like this video was very well explained and it was just sooooo easy to digest and left off with such a hopeful feeling. Thank you again. I really started to believe that I started too late. ( Someone who wanted to be a creator before creator was a term in 2008) But I am using these tools to give it my all, consistently. And now I feel like success is totally obtainable. I truly thank you guys again.
Very interesting, I have just started my YT channel, and my best performing video, which is maybe worse in quality, is of me talking directly at the camera like I am talking to a client. great video and thank you
People know authentic and although those overly produced vlogs are entertaining people got tired of the fake. They want the real stuff. Real life. Something to relate to so they don't feel alone.
So I've got a question I've wondered about for a while.. does what I personally watch and interact with on youtube, have any effect on where or who YT promotes MY channel/content to? For example, I just rebranded this channel to be more camping/camping gear focused, and one of the things i did was go through and clean out my subscriptions of any channels that had nothing to do with camping/related content, and I went on a subscribing spree, subbing to as many channels that I could find, that were as close to what my rebranded channel is about. But of course, like you guys are talking about here, as soon as you watch a video, you start being fed related content, so last night I randomly watched the Chingy video for Right thurr, cause, well I remembered it and wanted to hear the song lol, but immediately my feed is flooded with chingy this, chingy that, followed by a monsoon of rap related content. So my curiosity peaks, wondering if for any reason while yt is watching my behavior to identify what to feed me, are they also tying that information to my channel/content, in identifying who to feed my content to? Can my yt behavior negatively effect the performance of my own channel/content, when I'm watching things that are completely unrelated to the content I create?
Ok I’m gonna try this! Gonna watch the free videos provided in the attached links. Hopefully this helps. We are sooo frustrated because we work so hard on our videos and nothing seems to work. I think I’m horrible about titles and thumbnails. For some reason we are just not getting it, it’s not clicking on what to do differently. Any advice would be appreciated 🤙🏽🌺
@@LTMusic92 I think it can be less stressful when it comes to filming for different holidays/seasons. I used to struggle really bad with coming up with video ideas and now I dont have that problem nearly as much.
Thanks for the tips! Costco niche haha! Yes lifestyle is trending right now definitely. The amazing thing is people have many interests and will watch anything as long as it’s resonating with their interests! Focus on what really interests you and it will interest your audience!
I've been on UA-cam since the very first video about the zoo. One thing I've noticed from my early teens to my late thirties is how time has changed for me. I no longer have the time to watch lengthy videos. In my opinion, this is why short-form content has taken off on TikTok. First, everyone has a phone and can create content easily. Second, people were encouraged to make 30-second clips. Now, some are attempting to return to longer videos, but many of us just don’t have the time to watch them.
I'm going to be laying in bed, then turning on the shower, then making coffee, then tripping over my skateboard, then looking out the window, then sitting down to watch a video about how everyone changed yesterday.
Great advice! and love the shirt (Run Seattle) We have historically been so uncomfortable being on camera but that is what everyone keeps asking for - they want to know what our day to day is like - were trying to incorporate more of that in our future videos
Many female black vloggers already do this and I'm sure other women been doing this as well. They record a bit of each day of the week and make it one vlog. It could just be 3 or 4 days out of their week. They always mix sponsorship with their vlog. It's always long form videos. They post once a week and in-between they post focused content to break it up . So I think long time vloggers already were trying new styles that's not too stressful and more focus. The viewers loving the person's personality helps so the creator don't always have to do too much, just show up. I think females love to talk so they been doing this. Females have always learn from each other. This must be new to men.
The advice is amazing & the advantage of everyone watching this video will be truly like waking in the moon if you implement what was said here today, thanks for sharing. 629 subs 10 /23 / 24

Just be YOU!! Nothing else! Authenticity. ❤
1. Focus on One Topic Per Video
• Instead of vlogging your entire day, focus on a single theme or topic, like “$100 Costco Haul” or “How to Make Chicken Adobo.” This makes each video more discoverable, searchable, and engaging for viewers with specific interests.
2. Keep It Casual and Relatable
• Film in a simple, conversational style, like you’re talking to a friend. Skip high production and extensive edits-viewers connect better with casual, authentic content. Sharing personal stories that relate to the topic adds personality without overwhelming the video.
3. Use the Three T’s Framework: Theme, Takeaway, and Telling Stories
• Theme: Establish a consistent theme for your channel (e.g., food, travel).
• Takeaway/Topic: Each video should answer a question or provide a valuable insight related to the theme.
• Telling Stories: Integrate personal stories or experiences that make the content unique and relatable to viewers, enhancing the takeaway.

Once in Mexico City I went to Cosco ( as a tourist in Mexico) and Guess What!!! There was free shots of a tequila !!! I loved it that at Cosco in Mexico City you could get a free shot of tequila!! Incredible
Love This Thank You. Yes I'm excited for this type of vlogging coming back 🙌🏼 And there's something about the way Benji explains things that's very understandable, encouraging and informative. Thanks guys! 🙏🏼
I hate it when people upload the same videos. I just watched this exact episode last week.
Man!!! You've guys really helped me out with this video. Thanks so much. I'm going to be rethinking my approach to podcasting. Really really cool!
I just started 2 days ago, I achieved 5 subscriber. 4 family members out of 5. I hope, I will be successful. Wish me luck, guys.
I miss the good old days of UA-cam
I pretty much just started and do nature based/cinematic vlogs. Hiking and stuff. Will see how it goes. Im not a naitive english speaker so its a bit of a challenge to talk for long before messing up. Often I have to do several takes and then cut the talk together.
I'm not an English native speaker too, and just don't care. Believe me as long as people understand overall what you are saying, they enjoy it. Good luck mate 💪
@alijdalijleiajiljelad absolutely 🙂👍
Saving viewers an earful, jump to 9:30 you’re welcome
This video inspired me to get back into vlogging. Thank you, guys! 🙏
Cool vid, just starting my own journey, its pretty scary, kudos to all those who have started and good luck to ya'll.
I saw this video in the original episode and it is insane how the new cut gives a way better overview of the content
There is no format or method. It all comes down to whether you're interesting or not. It's that simple.
I like the 3 T's , but I love Chicken Adobo😋. Btw nice explanation, must apply this to my vlog.
This is excellent, Sean and Benji! Been following for such a long time. Brilliant indeed.
Very interesting, I have just started my YT channel, and my best performing video, which is maybe worse in quality, is of me talking directly at the camera like I am talking to a client. great video and thank you
Thank you Benji and Sean for sharing an encouraging, uplifting, empowering, informative, helpful and inspiring video!
So, be yourself?! Videos of your relatable, teachable experiences!
1. No fluff except first 10 minutes of this video
People know authentic and although those overly produced vlogs are entertaining people got tired of the fake. They want the real stuff. Real life. Something to relate to so they don't feel alone.
*I'm glad you made this video,* it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $89k biweekly and a good daughter full of love..
Please how ?
It's Maria Angelina Alexander doing she's changed my life. A BROKER- like her is what you need.
$356K monthly is something you should feel differently about....
Lovely! I enjoyed it like I enjoy a $100k monthly around the turn!!!
Amazing interview, very informative. Notes has been taken. 📝 Thank you guys!
Omg, I do remember you all from UA-cam secrets! Would have never known this was you two.
tHanks for the tip on the camera and mics.... 17:58
This is so true , Now even i am thinking to shift focus towards it
Ok I’m gonna try this!
Love thissss just got a pocket 3 and excited to play around with vlogging finally in my own theme. This simplifies it so much.
I just started, wish me luck!!
This is gold! I do this with my hello kitty hunting videos. I feel like its more simple and focused like he said.
do you find that its less stressful in terms of coming up with video ideas/topics?
@@LTMusic92 I think it can be less stressful when it comes to filming for different holidays/seasons. I used to struggle really bad with coming up with video ideas and now I dont have that problem nearly as much.
Thank you for this video! I don’t have a channel but I’m thinking about it!
Im A New Vloggers So Its Still All New To Me So All The Tips And Tricks Are Very Helpful Not Bad 190 Subscribers ✌️❤️
Best video I watched from you in awhile. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the tips! Costco niche haha! Yes lifestyle is trending right now definitely. The amazing thing is people have many interests and will watch anything as long as it’s resonating with their interests! Focus on what really interests you and it will interest your audience!
This video provides so much value it's ridiculous!
This will be helpful, as I am a starting UA-camr.
I'm going to be laying in bed,
then turning on the shower,
then making coffee,
then tripping over my skateboard, then looking out the window, then sitting down to watch a video about how everyone changed yesterday.
perfect timing just starting a vlogging channel
Great advice! and love the shirt (Run Seattle) We have historically been so uncomfortable being on camera but that is what everyone keeps asking for - they want to know what our day to day is like - were trying to incorporate more of that in our future videos
Nice topic 🎉
Many female black vloggers already do this and I'm sure other women been doing this as well. They record a bit of each day of the week and make it one vlog. It could just be 3 or 4 days out of their week. They always mix sponsorship with their vlog. It's always long form videos. They post once a week and in-between they post focused content to break it up . So I think long time vloggers already were trying new styles that's not too stressful and more focus. The viewers loving the person's personality helps so the creator don't always have to do too much, just show up. I think females love to talk so they been doing this. Females have always learn from each other. This must be new to men.
Gotta admit, I have watched several of Benji's videos on Costco, and I don't live near one.
Amazing information and value thank you you shared this out to my community
My theme is me!
I just watched MAKE IT COUNT again this week! So good - but also so true that we don’t need to vlog like Casey in 2024!
Thank you for the video, I opened my channel in Italy and I am following this new way of doing vlogs, and it is going well.
I've accidentally been doing this, I have to agree it works very well
Wow great video, so many great tips and things we can implement for our channel.👍
The advice is amazing & the advantage of everyone watching this video will be truly like waking in the moon if you implement what was said here today, thanks for sharing. 629 subs 10 /23 / 24
Love this! Small vlog here! Slowly growing and learning with each episode! ❤
This convo and a cup of coffee this morning 👌🏼 😮💨
Very useful. I will try this on my channel. Let’s go everybody!!
Soon to create youtube videos, this helps a lot thanks
