- How to change the Radiator Fan Resistor on a 2013 Cadillac CTS 3.0 Liter. It's pretty easy to do. However, please be sure to check the fan operation first, and make sure that the resistor is the issue!

This really helped me out! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Nice there are just a few videos on the cts
I have a 2014 cts and I removed the fan and directly connected the fan to a 12v battery with and without the resistor which look’s slightly different than this one but for some reason the fan is still not turning on as the coolant temperature is rising so tomorrow after ordering another fan with resistor I will replace this one and see if that fixes the problem. Fuses are good. If this doesn’t work I guess it’s back to the drawing board. 🤔
Good luck!
I have an '07 CTS. It has 2 fans. 1 each on pass & dvr side of the rad. Driver side isn't coming on but a/c is working fine & no overheating. Possibly same issue?
I know if you’ve got two fans, they come on at different temperatures
Thank you very much it worked 💪
Why is my Cadillac saying Engine hot ac off and the water pressure went down as soon as that popped out
Low on coolant?
"AC was warm, which was not cool"
🤣🤣🤣
But seriously, did the car throw any codes? I don't notice my fan running til my car is almost over heating
No codes. The a/c ran warm-ish at a stoplight, but would run fine while moving.
We, astonishingly, drove the car from Ohio to central florida without the fan… I didn’t realize the fan wasn’t kicking on, until a few days after that trip.
That's what happened to me same thing how do I fix this problem
I explain in the video
Whats that blue wire for?
I got a question
Is this similar to the 2013 SRX?
I’m not sure…
The carbon brushes need replacement.
What year is this
2013
