  • In this video, I teach a beginner how to achieve a ring muscle in two days. I show all of the drills I use with athletes and my coaching thought process as we go! Muscle ups are not an easy movement to do and the athlete I teach in this video already has a strong foundation to start from. She had strict pull-ups and strict ring dips as well as a muscle up on the bar.
This video explains the technique for achieving a muscle-up on rings. I recommend these other videos if you want to build the strength to do muscle-ups.

If she would tilt her head back right after the back swing, she would have nearly every one of those reps. As it is, her head/neck position is fighting against what the rest of her body is trying to do. Look forward through the top of the back swing, then see the rings, then see the floor.

Knowledge like this takes time. I can clearly understand you breaking down each and every movement and analysing it to make a perfect technique. Absolutely insane tutorial!!

Is it okay not to use false grip throughout the practice, or do you recommend using false grip the entire time?

They are a little chicken wingy…she has a ton of upper body strength. Some people struggle more with rings because they move. It’s easier for some people to feel that on the bar because they have something static to push against
