    Yep encounters were forced upon everyone, charms are another individual decision you need to make, that you can roll. Conceptually it seems like it fixes the issues with encounters, but we shall see.

      Charms are more like: Someone gets Spatula for a mere 15 gold, You can summon a voidling for 1 round for 2 gold tho

    One thing I dislike about charms is taking the shop slot. Doing a large roll down at lvl 8 it's almost impossible to roll and read every charm. On top of that it disincentivizes you to slow roll and rather do one large roll down so u don't waste rolls with charms. On top of that if you hit your units and have the extra gold u now have a win more mechanic compared to the person who missed on their roll down

    i really love charms I think it really has a lot of skill expression and it also gives you a lot to do in late game where you no longer can upgrade your team.
    I also feel like the traits are much cooker this set with sugar and portal being my two favorites at the moment
    But dianna need to be tonned down quite a bit before live

      Preliminary thoughts is I like it. Putting the "fortune" style Trait into augments make so much more sense to me.

    Haven't play much set 11. Can anyone explain why is the morgana encounter bad for soju at that spot and why is it funny?

      soju has very low health, giving him first pick on the carousel. he's saved two champ duplicators to use on a 5 cost he picks up there, giving him an instant 2-star 5 cost. morgana encounter suddenly makes all carousel champs 4 costs, ruining his plans, and dooming him to 8th.

      ​@bufoz yeah encounters were capable of literally ruining your games. The high/low roll were too much.
      I remember one game I was set to go fast 9, sacked hp stage 4 for my 5-1 or 5-2 rolldown, and the round before was the irelia encounter that gave everyone a legendary in there next like 8 shops or w/e it was. Went giga 8th since like 40 legendaries were out if the pool for no reason when everyone was lvl 8

    There is a problem with some units.
    It seems they got the unit costs messed up. Syndra and Karma. Syndra is 10,000 times stronger than Karma. She scales endlessly and her damage numbers are MUCH higher than Karma's. In general, it seems that Syndra is the strongest unit in the game right now

      this is just not true tho? karma not only does damage but heals her frontline which will lead to more effective damage in general. You need chrono 4 to unlock her potential imo, the timestop makes it so frontline lives forever.

      At that stage there should be garantied two 5 costs in the carusel. He was first Pick and had 2 golden Duplicator, so he would have had a garenteed 5 cost 2 Star, exept Morgana changed all units to 4 costs

    i dont get the clip at 2:22 also why is he tweaking like that... does he know he doesnt have to move his champs on the bench? they will stay there lol.
    people who play for meta and force comps should not be rewarded. i think people hated encounters just because it made the games less consistent. humans love consistency. these are the type of people that would play the same comp every game, get the same augments, and play against the same boards every match (yes meaning they would go first every match if they had their way lol). they dont enjoy tft for basically being a gacha simulator. they want it to be like a ccard game where they go in with a deck and if they spend enough gold, they draw the right cards and win!. they should just play magic the gathering imo lol
    idk if its just me but i never really understood playing a "comp" like what even is a comp LOL some board a guy with first with one time and now everybody plays it? tft is supposed to reward flex play, not "comps".

      Do me a favor and don't refer to people as 'tweaking' if it's not called for. he's keeping his reaction time up.
      Sorry you don't think they should be rewarded for studying and learning what boards are strong, but they will be rewarded anyway lol
      sure, flex play is fun, but not always optimized to beat out others in a ranked environment ESPECIALLY when the set traits don't lend to a flexible meta.
      overall the game has shifted to be less about open flex boards, and more about balancing comps to be not quite exodia, but above-average stable. Shifting the blame to the general playerbase just sounds so bitter
      to answer your question, a comp is the same as a build in League. Sure a more fixed meta can feel stale/rigid, but that's something to take up with devs, not players who can see which boards can stabilize vs. which just flop. also players have every right to take notes from pros they want to emulate
      in my opinion at least, someone else may be able to pick up what I'm putting down and articulate it better

      To then tell him the game evolved this way and that he should blame the devs? You’re using an awful lot of words to say practically nothing my guy. “Go blame the devs hur dur” while he’s calling out quite a fair point about how tft is no longer a flex game like it used to be and had instead evolved into more of a % based optimization game fully built around on Metatft and comparable sites.
      You saying “just blame the devs lol” is not the smart-ass comment you thought it was.
      Lastly, who gives a shit about the word tweaking on the internet? “Do me a favor and stop X random internet person” How about you do ME a favor and shut the fuck up lmfao?

      Soju sacked his stage so that he could use his double duplicator on a fast 9 legendary fated comp, but the encounter dropped 4 costs, meaning now the lobby will be going for 4 cost 3 stars, so in his position he is forced to roll on 8 or he will go 8th. He rolled on 8 and still went 8th.
      When you are playing the game at the highest level, many times you are forced to play a certain line or strategy, bc if you don't you will be punished severely.
      He is moving his units around because playing TFT at a high level can be very stressful, and I'm sure his mind is going a million miles a minute while also trying to entertain folks. It is not easy trying to entertain, play at a high level, and do real time problem solving at the same time. Try having empathy before criticizing.
      Also if you want high elo players to play flex then talk to Mortdog. True flex play hasn't been a thing since like set 6. High level players just play the best strategies given the design of the game. It's not that deep.

      i guess it makes sense since we all know how apm intensive carousels are. more sweaty than a silver cod lobby! i spent months in aim trainer just to better my tft mechanics!!! (labeling this as sarcasm since you seem like the type who cant infer/deduce tone over text).

      @@TrajanTC this is why they should do like underlords and battlegrounds where certain units are locked out of a match. this would force people like that guy to actually learn how to play the game instead of memorizing and forcing comps. the fun of tft is building a new unique board every match. devs need to fight what causes metas to emerge at a root level rather than superficial bandaids such as balance patches.
