To be honest, it's been like 6 years since Paladins officially debutted,so of all the "OW clones", Paladins is the one that stood the test of time, hell it even technically outlived the og OW. Now we need a Paladins 2.
There have been signs of a Paladins 2 for some time now. Like the Rogue Company, Realm Royale and Paladins teams were run on one team and only Paladins gets updates. Plus some hints from developers and the CEO
A Hi-rez employee, I dont remember who it was, published an article where he was talking about smite 2 and he mentioned paladins at some point but he called it "Paladins 1". Why would he call it "1" since there's no sequel? Maybe there's something in the works already that they havent revealed
Over 10 since CS:GO debutted. Went through a huge update where they even changed the engine, they changed the name of the game after that and it still holding players numbers that are pretty closet to their peak. Same with DOTA 2 (except in that case the name is the same one, and it is less close to that peak). Yeah, there are a few more examples of multiplayer games in similar situation, but my point is that there is always a reason why games lose players, and it is never "just time". If XDefiant dies now, it will be because updates didn't offer the changes people were looking for, or didn't add enough things to make the game feel "fresh" for a much longer time.
The worst part in my opinion is you can tell the developers, Evil Mojo, really care about making Paladins work. But because of Hi-Rez’s ABYSMAL management and treatment of the IP, it’s becoming a chore rather than a passion project for them. Updates have significantly slowed down and new character, map, and mode additions are far from what they used to be. It’s sad because I used to love this game’s vibe back in 2018 and would get my friends into it.
Idk why they let hi-rez of all companies be their publisher. They can barely manage their own games, let alone be a publisher for another. Hi-rez lacks direction and has for YEARS.
Since a couple of months everything started to look better. Updates are more often, they did tremendous job with balace and introduced balance fixes that come more often, they stopped pumping new stupid champs like crazy and focused on balacing and refining current ones. The game looks better and better every patch. Unfortunatelly they had a giant servers problem so. The game was growing every month and now collapsed by 50% once more. That being said, every single new brilliant hero shooter game died and Paladins prevails till this day.
Nah, some of them don't even care about the players opinion. There was a dev that was mocking players for wanting a rework for Kasumi's primary fire. Her primary fire is auto aim and really clunky, the players were asking for a rework for her and a non aimbot primary fire, but they never changed the aimbot and one of the devs just mocked the players saying that they won't change it.
The card system is the best thing about this game. Actually modifying the gameplay of a character is so Amazing. Wish overwatch had something like this
The card system killed it 100% for me immediately when it was added, U can't have ofuscated hidden stats u pick/earn in a hero shooter. Especially ones so completely game changeing, they already had the shop which was fine, but fights would often come down to these stupid situational hidden card effects. It astounds me they could think this is at all a good idea.
OW2 is still better, Paladins is riddled with server errors and bugs. The balance in Paladins is just as bad and the roster is bloated. Also no role lock, also doesn’t have as deep lore and comics. Hirez doesn’t care about Paladins at all and is more focused on Smite! I’m sorry but if you think Paladins is better then you are delusional. 🤡
I feel like the only thing that Hi-Rez can do to try and revive Paladins is to make a Paladins 2. It may sound like a lot to do, but in my eyes, that's the only thing I can think of that can bring Paladins into the spotlight.
that seems very unlikely considering that they are making Smite 2 but who knows, maybe once they're done with Smite 2 they could pull off Paladins 2 as well
One thing happened a year ago , is that the game got banned in Syria, there were a lot of people play here and I know all my friends play the game , we couldn't play it anymore , I have been playing the game since 2018 and suddenly 2022 it got banned and I couldn't play anymore unless I have a vpn on , but the free vpns are not that efficient ping wise so I just stopped playing the game , they lost an entire country player base
@@dankmemes8254 we have international sanction on our country , so a lot of game companies ban thier games here due to these sanctions put by the U.S government, so for example all games from blizzard / riot games .. and a lot more are banned here Hi-rez was an exception we could play paladins without any problems whatsoever but suddenly since OB64 but suddenly in 2022 it got banned We can still play smite no problem But it's games like paladins and rogue company .. etc we can't play anymore It's sad really as I really loved the game and spent a lot of money on it
@@dankmemes8254 I don't know man , I just know that I want to play this game and want it to have a better team and I think probably a paladins 2 with a clean base code would do just fine
@@dankmemes8254 Not only in Syria. The game is banned in most of Asia, largely due to Tencent's unfair competition tactics, as Tencent was one of Blizzard's largest shareholders, so it encouraged regulators to ban the game in order to maintain a monopoly on the genre in countries like China.
Poor management, removing things like death cam was an awful idea and the game is FILLED WITH HACKERS, along with AWFUL match making. Imagine being Diamond and getting silvers on your team vs other team with 2+ GM. Super toxic game, anyone would be crazy to play this when there are so many better options. Even more so streamers. Very niche.
@@nugget7553 Hope your luck keeps up. I ran into MANY that were obvious. There are many that don't make it obvious. Game gives you no real tools to know, and hacks are free/cheap. They could do something as simple as showing new stats on the Death recap. Showing how many times the user got headshots on you. Hope they improve all this when/if they do Paladins 2.
@@capolean2902 You have to have crossplay enabled in order to play rank. And you may not of noticed you ran into a hacker. But even so, on console there are EZ cheats. You can even hook mouse and keyboard up to the console, thus giving you the aim assist with mouse and keyboard. There is even hardware you can plugin that will give you the cheats, or you can pay a monthly fee or even get them for free. Loads of cheaters, and the game only removes features that would allow you to spot the better hackers. Not every hackers will enable 100% head shots. Many top tier streamers also use hacks in many games, and you would never know about it.
Paladins futher died before Overwatch. If Paladins wouldn't be bug fest and they wouldn't kill esport with Facebook gaming 30 FPS streams then a lot of players from Overwatch would switch to Paladins, but truth be told Paladins is way worse even then Overwatch 2. Bar is set low.
After finally playing Overwatch 2, I 100% agree with that statement. Sometimes I feel like playing paladins and other days overwatch, despite their similarities they really are 2 different games.
Exactly! Just cause they both have hero/champs and you shoot each other doesn’t mean they’re the same. I love both games for different reasons and I’m so tired of the arguing about it. They’re not the same at all.
@@SocialExperiment232 They are not the same but I would argue that paladins and overwatch are the closest comparison you can draw. I cant think of any other game that is any good which is similair to those 2.
played it like in 2019, one of the best gaming experiences that i've got. Playing ranked games with friends was a bless at that time. I quit cuz there were too many balancing issues.
paladins is what made me realize what i want to do in life, and even though i've barely touched it in the last few years it still holds a great place in my heart. i wish they would make paladins 2. i would definitely play that
As someone who played Paladins heavily for 1000+ hours combined on PC and Xbox between 2016 and 2021, this is why I stopped: The players who constantly and intentionally left matches, playing matches 1 vs 5 isn't exactly fun, and every time I go back to see if things improved, I see it's gotten worse. And this not even harping on the fact that there still isn't any type of real game balance.
YESSSS, THANK YOU! Finally someone else who uninstalled because 3rd person was removed. A game which monetizes with skins and players can't even see their skin while playing is bound to fail IMO. It's crazy to me.
@@Macaulyn_97 I wouldn't be so sure, the dev teams are divided into developing their respective games. I think it is possible, as long as they don't change too much from the original, and make sure the second game would be well optimized with better graphics and capabilities.
When it came out the game was in-fucking-sane... The e-sport scene was massive for it , the casters were hype, the casual and ranked matches were good, yes balance issues and bugs but a bright future ..and the cosmetic packs were berable, sales were good, than power creep started to happen new heroes started coming out more than balance patches or content for old heroes.. the skins got shat on and locked into chests that are overpriced and so on.
I can't deny that the game being F2P definitely let in a lot more casual audience but it still feels unfair to call it more casual than Overwatch with the added depth of loadout/talent/item systems and the competitive scene. It's small now because it was cancelled, but even in it's very last year it was very popular. The last official set Paladins eSports had garnered 124k views on UA-cam and it was only a 20,000$ reward. Compared to the obscene prize pools of Overwatch Paladins tournaments getting that viewership is honestly really impressive, like at that time the game was still averaging like just over 10k players on steam. They also killed it by taking a Facebook Live exclusivity deal. TL;DR Paladins competitive scene proportionate to the size of the game itself was actually quite a feat and I'd say the community was more competitive than most other games in the genre by comparison, the game's direction was also a lot more competitive leaning before they cancelled tournaments altogether (as in balancing pretty heavily around pro play and not getting a ton of backlash for it because the community was somewhat in the loop. whereas compare to overwatch a lot of casual players hate the development team for balancing the game to fix meta issues that were only present in top1% gameplay)
what ended up making me walk away was how extreme the casual play became, it ended up becoming a mini competitive outside of ranked, which wasnt all that bad on its own as botplay existed and you can play against anywhere between easy to decently challenging bots as a real player team. Which wasnt the nail in the coffin, the nail for me was what they did to my main skye. Skye for people who dont know is a flank class damage dealer with stealth abilities. She has undergone multiple reworks but ultimately she remained mostly the same with some differences in appearance. The most recent and head scratching change was to one of her talents, She had a talent where so long as you could get the final blow on an enemy, it reset your cooldowns and healed you for 900, with a max health of 1900 without any health boosting cards thats pretty good, but it took skill to execute for the most part. As you needed one specific thing, THE CREDIT FOR A KILL. if your aim was too bad or the enemy escaped, or even better your teamate cleaned them up, you didnt get the talent trigger. That and cauterize countered the healing heavily(which if you werent running it kinda was a bad idea since it makes fighting enemies harder without it) and the item in the shop midmatch taht you can get round one that lets you see invisible enemies further away. Gave her a bit of a skill ceiling, honestly she was fine where she was. Granted one of the other talents needed a bit of a nerf(the poison spam one, if you know you know). but they didnt touch that, they left it. instead they removed said above talent. for a completely useless and bad talent replacement. Now i can play a bunch of different characters(i play a really strong healing and damage pip, a good varrik, and i can play a majority of the healers and a few of the tanks really well. But i played as Skye since the beta, i fell in love with her character, her looks(ironic i know), and her gameplay style focused on quick hit and runs to pick off enemies on or near the point and vanishing into the map to repeat. to the point where so long as no one was watching the flank i could deal some damage and keep them off the point, and even if they did. i had a few bombs to fix that every match. But what they finally did as a nerf(as she was nerfed and reworked multiple times, some for good reason, others for a strange reason). I walked away from the game, what they did to her could happen to any of the legacy and new champions. Sorry for the long rant, but this is a bit of a sore spot.
Another thing is how certain devs responded to game feedback. There was a system(not sure if its still there) where the playerbase can vote for content creators to be apart of a team in helping develop the game Alot of feedback was ignored/neglected from what we heard last time. One of them that i remember was someone proposing to be able to refund items you buy but that was denied because they had to "recode the entire item shop" In a later update, they literally added a whole new item shop system in a play test that was worse. Only after were they called out did they miraculously add a refund button
I don't really see Paladins making this huge comeback with core updates it needs, but as an Overwatch vet player I've finally understood why Paladins is such a good game. It's more moba based and it's HONEST about it. Meanwhile Overwatch lost its competitiveness, high skill plays and it is actually merging into creating passives, 4 abilities for each hero (when classic heroes always had only 2 abilities) and having bigger hitboxes, self-heal, they even tried to advertise PvE hero talent system, which Paladins had it all ALL ALONG. And you can't counter pick in Paladins! I've never been fan of moba, but if I wanna play moba based fps shooter I'd stick with the one who is DESIGNED to be that, not the game that had been one thing and lowkey changed itself to be another.
Amen!!! As a low GM Paladins player who finally gave up on the game no matter how much I love it (toooooo many bots and insanely uneven matches because of small player base), I started casually playing OW2. I never liked it before, but now I finally get why people love it. I also absolutely understand now why people want OW1 and 6v6 back. Jfc, is OW2 a dumpster fire with half-baked ideas, trying to solve one issue by creating two more...
They invested into realm royale reforged dko and rogue company instead of paladins and you can see that rr died for a second time dko died and rogue company died
Ill say this with 1000% seriousness. Paladins will forever be better than overatch and most hero shooters on the market. No, its not necessarily as popular, but i do believe that it is better
3 reasons: 1. Hirez's greed 2. Hirez's extremely poor management (Seriously, Paladins is extremely lucky Hirez didn't shut it down given their records) 3. They tried competing with Overwatch
Great coverage Personally, more a Paladins fella over Overwatch myself. OW is fun, but Paladins has a connected storyline that’s been more fun to keep up with. Guess I’ll even throw out Pals just have more weirder “shooting styles” I like
@@zephalion7386 Moji & Pip, my two faves, for example. I know Pip and Bap have similar healing pops with aoe (just relating abilities), but Pip’s whole kit is potion firing, from debuffs to his own speed increase. Recently, Moji was turn into a support, but I always been a fan of her primary fire spray and stack, secondary to capitalize the stacks. I also like playing Corvus and Io too I know there’s pretty unique shots all around OW, but I haven’t been hooked the same way as Paladins
One thing I have learned throughout the years of playing Hi-Rez associated games was: Don't even bother because we all know what this means. They fumbled GA, DKO, Rogue Company and now also Paladins. All fun and unique games with INSANE POTENTIAL. I've been one of the very first people to play Paladins before it was even officially released and they fumbled such an awesome game. If Paladins 2 ever comes out, I'll play it but only if another dev team is part of it. This was one of the best and most enjoyable games I've ever played. Insane how type of a game like Paladins still has insane eSport potential nowadays.
Jumped back in since they sunsetted the Switch version. I will say its nice being back on Steam. I was able to easily recover my account and its a daily play for me since there are over 50 champions its easier than ever to pick one you like during matches.
i played this game everyday when i was around 13-14.i loved the small community, the unique characters and just the feel of the game. but then they decided to change the card building system and made the game pay to win for a while, which obviously angered most of its fanbase. they brought back the older deck building systems but decided to focus only on skins instead of fixing the MANY bugs in the game, and this was it for me. im gonna be 21 soon and its just sad to watch my fav childhood game turn to this mess..
I still remember my last Top Play of the Game before the feature was removed. Koga was the newest character. I had used his speed boosting ability to sneak past the enemy team. Ult ready and unleashed it in their backline, wiping three of their teammates in one go, a flank, healer and dps. Then, I pop out of the ultimate, switch to Koga's claws and rip apart their tank who turned after realizing his backline just got wiped out. Paladins is a game I love, far more than Overwatch but it just isn't the same anymore. I pop in here and there to play every now and then. Also the newer cast of characters introduced since have been so... weird. Difficult for me to understand how their abilities actually work, the only one I managed to understand was Saati (I think that's how it was spelt) who has the coin you toss and can shoot and it ricochets the bullet at enemies.
4:40 Oh, yeah :3 Me playing DPS Ying, carrying my team on my back having the most DPS and Kills in the match, sometimes even outhealing some dedicated healers, and STILL having to deal with players who rush into enemy territory spamming "HEAL" messages.
Damn i missed this game. I used to play both OW and Paladins at the same time. But to me, it fell off when they changed their game system too many times and that Battle Royale thing for some reason.
@@johnh3611 i stopped for the most part playing when kasumi came out played a bit here there after but i haven't touched it in a long time i have 2000 hrs and played when sha lin was released i have fond memories
Still one of my favorite games sadly I run into to many toxic people whenever I try to get back into it causing me to always leave again quickly I would love to see this game come back though
also a little correction here, the most competitive players didn’t have to pay anything for cards inbound since every card was at level 5/10 in ranked mode. Cards inbound strictly effected casual game modes
That is interesting since yes, last time I played Paladins was two years ago and decided that it just wasn't my game but from what i've heard and seen here and there I thought that its in the best spot out of the three. And now I think it's merely scoring second place in dying-of-a-game speed. My thing in multiplayer games is supporting and healing. I love to do it and I need a place for it. After about ten years I burned out in TF2, after 200 hours I didn't want to play Paladins anymore and OW I played since 2017 and I really grew to hate it and Blizz as well but I got so used to it and its ''quirks'' plus its the slowest dying out of the three I think I have picked my poison and will stay until some new class shooter comes out I guess because I have no alternative left. I Sometimes wish for some singleplayer game where I can be support that would be great. I know I can cast ''healing hands'' in Skyrim on my companion but that is a sad substitute and gets me down mood wise. Just aint the same. I just want to help and have fun doing it.
0:26 so wrong lol, I used to think that way too but Paladins clearly took a LOT of notes from OW's beta. Not even talking about kits (I mean ... Fernando is pretty much Rein but italian), but the main gamemode drastically changed and no one can say that they haven't taken inspiration from OW's design there
And here I was thinking of getting back into the game. I also heard the standalone launcher was discontinued in favor of Steam-only, and apparently they implemented kernel-level anticheat.
So there was a third person mode and i'm not missremembering things. I will forever miss this feature. Oh and at least Paladins design of heroes makes more sense imo, since you can at least understand how it probably works. Hope someday they will return third person mode and a lot of players will return. (Yes i'm your casual Seris player who love to stun everyone and see her back)
I always saw overwatch as hero arena with guns. In warcraft 3 custom games there were many hero arena games, two teams of heroes going at it. Which than turned into Dota and league.
Yup, did the same thing, I decided to come back to the game and play a bit, saw that 3rd person was removed, quit the game and uninstalled, never touched it again, playing in 3rd person was what made the game super fun for me, so yeah, RIP.
6:40 Paladins was the only free game that I spent a lot of money on cosmetics just because I liked the game and really wanted to have the Replicant Ying, after getting away from the game because of some of the stuff you said in the video I came back now as a full PC player (was on PS before) and for then to find out there was no way for me to get my Founder Account with all the stuff I unlocked and bought was a cold shower into my desire to play the game. Man, I miss what Paladins was : /
2:30 The thing is, Global Agenda is a class based MMO where you select weapons and abilities for your character yourself. It did not have premade character like Overwatch, so obviously you can just mash abilities together to make it seem like others copied your character. For example, recon who was compared to widow because of poison mines, sniper rifles and wallhacks is not a pure sniper class. There is a choice between sniper rifles and smgs, and you can only carry one of them at a time. Beside poison mines there is a choice between stat steroid, decoys, cleanse, a dozen of different bombs and mines, player-only wallhacks, all occupying one ability slot. And other than team wide wallhacks recon can choose a large bomb.
I started paldins in december 2021 and i never really understood what people were saying with the bloat .I really like moji and mained her till her rework just figured out how to play the new one. I have heard some bad thing abotu ob64 as pay to win. I have a few freinds that played during season 2 & 3 that play every once in awhile. And yeah i have heard about some features that got removed and i really like having context for things my freinds said. I will say the next patch Tidal Surge worries me a little with the balance changes as 2 reworks for caspain and kinessa seem like a decent thing that feels good to play but not fun to play against. I hope it sticks the landing with pts changes
my biggest issue with paladins is it doesnt tell you when your teammates leave the game and are replaced with bots. This is unacceptable in a competitive game. mulitple times ive yelled at someone only to find out that they are a bot and im wasting my time. its very frustrating.
I remembered I stop playing paladins after around OB64 because how grindy it was, I still remember how my rank free falling cuz I was a free player and couldnt afford the card system
I've played the game back in 2018 and took a long 6 year break because of school and university but I've returned to the game and realized it's took a turn I don't like. My favorite characters were Koga and Moji and every chests, skins, announcer voices, characters, gems I've gotten are all gone.
That happened to me too, but I barely played back then. And it was on the Switch. You need to elevate a ticket and they will restore your stuff back. They did to me and they added extra stuff 😅
They started to mess up when devs decided to remove individual hero ranks, with its awesome frames. I remember people playing Paladins whole day long to get some heroes on Master or Grandmaster rank and it was pretty cool back then. I also noticed that Paladins was gonna decline when some of awesome Hirez members decided to quit Paladins team back in 2018-19.
Overwatch's roots date back to 2014 when Blizzard repurposed assets from their canceled project Titan, making it the first game to showcase actual gameplay footage at BlizzCon 2014. In contrast, Paladins by Hi-Rez Studios claims to have been in development since 2012, but there was no tangible proof of its gameplay until after Overwatch's reveal and subsequent popularity. While Hi-Rez insists that both games were developed concurrently, the lack of early footage from Paladins raises questions about whether its final design was influenced by Overwatch, which set a new standard in the hero shooter genre.
I still remember randomly coming across this game years ago and just playing it for a few hours, to later find out I was one of the earliest players when I was rewarded stuff later that said thanks for basically being a tester. Also I stopped playing for a while anyway tried to come back to just a mess and a lot of changes I thought were very unnecessary so I just never played it since then.
I play both OW1 and Paladins and I got to say I had more fun on Paladins idk why it just feel so smooth at first and everything just feel balance but then the server got serious lag problem force me to stop playing
After a long break from the game I currently (last week or something) played the game again and found out that u in fact can swap to third person again. I don’t know the keyboard anymore but I accidentally pressed it and was stuck in 3rd person until I searched it up. Thought that might be interesting for some off u guys.
After clearing up the copy pasting and pressure on Overwatch to respond building, I remember reading Overwatch stans' comments calling the game "unpopular" and that they were "just jealous that Overwatch did it better" which is pretty telling.
You're making very valid assertions. However, it's still a very fun game. There is a very real mindset with gamers that is working against this game. I've been playing since 2017 and I still like playing this game.
I always found paladins more fun than OW. The talents and loudouts gave you so many options, healers felt good to play since they had a lot of impact outside of healing, the fact that characters weren't made as counters to each other but unique units. Its so sad what they did to it. I don't think there has been an impactful update in a year at this point
I actually played closed beta of paladins, and from my standpoint the biggest problem with paladins was moving from "all characters are damage dealers (of some sort)" to overwatch "like heal-tank-dps" design, the game just lost all of it charm and it was never going to beat overwatch in being overwatch
Honestly it’s still kinda fortunate that pallies is still alive to this day, after so many devs getting cut to move to other games and it’s been running on a skeleton crew for over a year now it’s still pretty ok!!

HiRez made original titles as far back as 2010 with titles like Global Agenda which was a success for the duration of its running. HiRez also developed Smite as an alternative to MoBa'd during the mid 2010s which were also successful. Paladins were made from the assets of the two games, essentially just slapped together. Edit: Oh okay, you actually do mention Global Agenda.
The 2 newest heroes are literally just skins of previous heroes that were spun off with recycled assets because their art lead, Thunderbrush left the company. It’s running on fumes by now.
Jace and Grovos? I wouldn't call them "new heroes"... Even though they were integrated into the lore. But yeah. They reworked Moji into a support, and the last champion that was "new" was Omen and he's just Jenos but evil.
It's actually a really decent game. Very fun but I don't play Ranked often too toxic. The casual modes are decent and they released a new pve mode which is similar to swarm in league of legends

Removing top plays was the death for me. I played games solely to be on the top play. I actually enjoyed OB64 it made the game more grindy and part of the reason why I left is because I had access to almost every character and i've played the game so much that it felt like it was repetitive even with the challenges.

@@Flamec45 You seem confused. EM is a subdivision of Hi-Rez, Paladins is a Hi-Rez game. They never "picked" a publisher.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I assumed that the lack of content was cuz Evil Mojo was focussing on improving other aspects of the game?

4:05 this is why we now call it bugladins and it has spaghetti code
I went back to playing Paladins for the first time in almost 2 years a few days ago. The game feels like it's being held together by duct tape...
what ended up making me walk away was how extreme the casual play became, it ended up becoming a mini competitive outside of ranked, which wasnt all that bad on its own as botplay existed and you can play against anywhere between easy to decently challenging bots as a real player team.
Sorry for the long rant, but this is a bit of a sore spot.
i actually prefer new preparation :"D
@@ProfesjonalnyUA-camr to each their own, but i prefer the old one.
Another thing is how certain devs responded to game feedback. There was a system(not sure if its still there) where the playerbase can vote for content creators to be apart of a team in helping develop the game
Alot of feedback was ignored/neglected from what we heard last time. One of them that i remember was someone proposing to be able to refund items you buy but that was denied because they had to "recode the entire item shop"
In a later update, they literally added a whole new item shop system in a play test that was worse.

Also the newer cast of characters introduced since have been so... weird.

Current dev team is just better than the one under Kaplan who wanted deliberately stopped updating the game at the end of OW1 because they wanted PVE to be the main focus over PVP. Are you jealous or something lol.
@@Patrick_BW Literally search up how long it took them to add a cauterize indicator in comparison to Paladins which were built in from the inception. You're barking up the wrong tree with that statement, pal.
I dropped the game when I swapped platforms and they were unable to move my progress over and I had all heroes unlocked. Never touched it since
The 2 newest heroes are literally just skins of previous heroes that were spun off with recycled assets because their art lead, Thunderbrush left the company. It’s running on fumes by now.
Jace and Grovos?
I wouldn't call them "new heroes"... Even though they were integrated into the lore.
But yeah.
They reworked Moji into a support, and the last champion that was "new" was Omen and he's just Jenos but evil.
Used to play Paladins a few years back; what killed my interest was the constant bugs and game crashes I kept encountering.
Right now the game is amazing. No bugs and smooth gameplay
Loving the animal crossing music in the background and great video
I only downloaded because I saw a small guy in the thumbnail thing. Turns out his name is Talus
I really like paladins but i don't know why i stop playing one year ago and come back again these mounth
Paladins is the perfect example of a game that is accused for copying another game just because it's not as popular.
It's actually a really decent game. Very fun but I don't play Ranked often too toxic. The casual modes are decent and they released a new pve mode which is similar to swarm in league of legends
Just realized grover is basically groot and pip is basically rocket raccoon
@@Puertogrecan you here also after the release of marvel rivals?
Funny how marvel rivals is such a big threat to ow.
I stopped playing definitely when they took out 3rd person view. I tried to go back but, as a Terminus player, he became unplayable I hated that
What killed it for me was the overtime heal nerf.
HUH
@@yaboi3710 as a support main I agree that it felt bad, but the supports are so broken in Paladins that it was def needed kinda wish they just balanced the characters instead of nuking the healing across the board.
@@bubbles0904 i agree, if they at least balanced each healer then it would be at least consistant, here i have to rely not only on random teammates not standing in open fire, but also the match lenght. Its just lame
Im praying for a Paladins 2. Who agrees?
what's the point of paladins 2? Wasting resources just to make excatly the same copy of the game with slightly different name. They just need to implement stuff to paladins 1 that they would put in paladins 2.
Removing top plays was the death for me. I played games solely to be on the top play. I actually enjoyed OB64 it made the game more grindy and part of the reason why I left is because I had access to almost every character and i've played the game so much that it felt like it was repetitive even with the challenges.
The game was really fun but I had to quit when every other game I would not be able to take q because of some ui bug
I think its time for paladins 2
0:56 agreed completely
Damn you gave me ptsd with that OB64 😂 that shit was crazy man...
I dropped the game when they started messing with base kits and shove them into the cards. I liked playing Bomb King and bomb jumping all over the map but then it was removed and added back as a card but in completely gutted form.
Last time I played Paladins, someone always dodge a match even on causal .
Man, hearing about OB64 brought back all the bitter feelings I felt back then. I hated it so much I left the game and never went back, crazy to think it's been 7 years.
I remember when I use to take my switch over to my cousin's house to play and we are Moba sweats so we got the hang of this game real fast. We would win over 80% of games and realize it's too darn casual.
I miss the kill cam and play of the game because it made the game more fun. I also miss the og maps, the game would’ve felt more nostalgic when I came back to the game
