@@chopperdeath Pantera pits got down, no doubt. But, I'd have to say Hatebreed, Slayer & Bad Brains, hold the titles for the most "brutal" mosh pits ever. Back in the day when all of us metalheads & punk's understood there was a code of conduct we lived by in the pit. But even though everyone played nice, those 3 pits were still almost impossible to get out of w/o at least a bump, bruise or bloody nose/lip. You felt lucky to crawl out of a Hatebreed pit w/o having to go get stitched up even by accident. "Sh!t Happens!" Just saying... 🤘🤕🤘

@@216Numbskull The problem is that they're outed as white supremacists. I'm sorry but that isn't what this is. Metal is not about that. The song is about Pantera being treated differently from some of their friends, that believed their success went to their head, this was Enselmo's way of telling them "No, we didn't change, y'all changed" and my fav..."if y'all don't like us anymore, (walk on home boy) take your shit somewhere else".
Enselmo's actual quote from a concert here in Houston Tx.

This stirs so many emotions coming from someone who use to take a 10 minute drive from my house to Hwy 80/820 to this long forgotten place called Joe's Garage in the late 80s. Every single weekend we'd pay $5 to watch these guys during the Power Metal/Cowboys From Hell days just having a fucking blast. Weekend after weekend Phil would tell everyone it was the last time they'd be playing there & then that weekend came & they exploded onto the music scene like a nuclear bomb, shit, like a fucking hydrogen bomb! I can't describe the feeling everyone got from the Dallas/Ft Worth area hearing them progress into this unstoppable driving force. Vulgar Display Of Power really forced the world to notice what was happening to the music scene, but it was Far Beyond Driven that placed them on top of the mountain. People who wasn't even into that kind of music around this area was even proud of them, they were ours.....
Then things started to crumble & fall apart......
I will always remember turning on the TV that morning in December 2004 & hearing about Dime being murdered on stage.....
I still feel sick to my stomach thinking about it.
This "PANTERA reunion" that is being planned is wrong & I don't care if people disagree with me, it just has Gary Rossington written all over it. Don't get me wrong, LYNYRD SKYNYRD & PANTERA are two subjects I would fight a rabid grizzly bear over if I heard people trash talking about them. The chemistry is gone, leave it alone & for those who decide to go I want you to think about Vinnie & Darrell while you're there & I will end it with that

There was just something about the Abbott brothers that brought something different. It was cool to be a fan in their peak, and see that they were one of the few metal bands holding strong through all of grunge. Nirvana's Nevermind killed a lot of bands, Pantera persevered, and got torn apart by drugs, egos, and the mainstream music press.

I have only seen 1 review that did the entire album . I would love to see more reviewers do the entire album. But using the actual CD. The engineering that was done on this album is what make you by the end of the album exhausted, sweaty, in pain, want to punch something. The well placed slower songs to give you a break. The no time at all to breathe between songs. This album is an experience. One song at a time is great but the entire album is an experience to be had.

Chills everytime! I do the fingers when he says "walk" too ! Lol 😂 fucking love it! Everyone should experience PANTERA! I was blessed in 96 to see them live. Best concert ever! The vibe was different from anything I ever experienced. You can't duplicate but tribute will be awesome! Watching people feel this for the first time is so amazingly beautiful ❤️

Metal is for the masses, all walks of life. Love seeing a new generation or an older generation discovering that metal is more than dudes in a cargo shirts and black shirts. Pantera still hits hard today as it did back in the 90's. Long live Pantera

We asked for backstage passes from SRO management 1995, 1996, for Aragon Ballroom Chicago.. Got them. Phil would go absolutely nuts on stage! Afterwards, the nicest most down to earth person ever. "How'd you guys like the show" he would ask. Their crew always provided a garbage can full of ice cold beers for us...and we all partied and smoked.

I grew up with Pantera and black label society so when I got back from Iraq I bought tickets for all my military buddies who have never been to a rock concert, it was a black label society concert in Chicago and they all had a blast so I hope anyone who likes this music do yourself a favor and go see it live

Nice touch with the In Memoriam for Dimebag but you should add one for his brother Vinnie Paul as well. He passed in 2018. One of the best drummers of all time.
I was lucky to see them live about 10 times. They were one of the best live bands ever. They would interact with the crowd and even toss half filled beer cups into the crowd.
    Great video.
