"This DJ man. He looks like one of the best DJ's in the world".
Yes. Yes he is. Best DJ in the world numerous times. So good that they asked him to stop entering DJ competitions.
Tis True
what you say...
Mix MASTER Mike
Mc master mike beastie boys started everything!! Watch them in the rock n roll hall of fame it’s awesome
@@kristinagilbert9448 started everything 🤔 okay
Him and Qbert are from Invisibl Skratch Piklz from the bay (80's)
Lifelong fan. This is one of their best. RIP Yauch
11 years
That DJ WAS considered one of the best in the world. He belonged to a group known as the Scratch Picklez and they were made up of literal championship DJ’s
Saw him with cypress hill a few years back. He was great
Mix master Mike.
One of the best? That's the GOAT right there..
Along with DJ Q Bert
WAS?! Please by all means shower me with better scratches.. and no...... Emd doesn't count! Don't worry I won't wait because I know it's impossible for you to do so.. ☺️
Props for picking a crowd-pleaser that's not a radio hit. The "reactors reacting to reactors" is an excellent flourish-very original, one might say. Another home run!
Lol a video of people reacting to people reacting to a video is by definition not original and derivative by design
If you bring that sentence in for a fitting , I can have it shortened by Tuesday.@@rileyk5228
The best thing about this music video is that it was done in one take. This was all done live from their studio.
Dope
“This is what Hip-Hop is missing. No females in the back, no jewelry, no egos, no nothing. Just pureness”
We have been saying that since this video came out in the late 90’s. This album was released while that form of Hip-Hip was on its death bed. And everyone knew it and saw what was happening. It only delayed the inevitable unfortunately.
That lady was wrong about that this would get trashed . They blow up big-time
@@davidkreutzer4778 Also, it's possible that she doesn't know that the Beastie Boys were spawned from the punk scene, which is the main reason they act the way they act and why their videos are not overly polished. They were kind of a blend of punk and rap.
Couldn't have been said better
Yeah, i miss the fun old days.
Sadly it’s just got worse though
No mumblin rappin.
Just pure talent.
Let this be a learning history for y'all
_"He lookin like he one of the best DJs in the world!"_
He's not wrong. Mix Master Mike is the greatest DJ of his generation. He was so stupid good that they asked him to stop entering competitions so others would have a chance, he literally couldn't lose. 🐐
I miss the Beasties. I'm so damn glad i saw them once live. Lollapalooza 94. Also saw Tribe the concert. Beastie Boyz were on during sundown. When it finally got dark out, they were playing Sabotage. The classic break in the song, they killed ALL the lights seeing only little red LED on amps etc. They paused for so long and got the crowd so built up. When that bass groove kicked in i got goosebumps. Then the lights slammed on like the sun and EVERYONE shouted along with the WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! 😂😂😂❤❤❤. They were amazing live ❤
Caught this very tour in Charlotte,NC!! Their set was exactly how you describe!!
Smashing Pumpkins was the headliner and Beasties played second to last.
SP had to follow that sh*t! I remember about 3 song into SP set people started filtering out of there.
I would not have wanted to be in a band that had to follow that Beasties set. 🔥🔥
I was there. Beastie Boys, A Tribe called Quest, Parliament Funkadelic, and Pharcyde all in the same day... EPIC!
@@jax2428oh wow, I’m so envious!
I was there, and totally did not appreciate them at the time. I think me and my friends were probably at another stage for most of it 'cause none of us were hip-hop fans at the time. Ugh, I was so stoopid...
Exactly! This is exactly what Hiphop needs, back to the roots. DJ making fresh beats, MC's all about the music and crowd, and a vibe that moves the feet and claps the hands
Beastie Boys are for ever in my Heart, Legends! ❤🔥
I’ve recently discovered the Beastie Boys and loving their albums
Try "The In Sound From Way Out".
A jazz album they made. Ever so often you hear a song of that album as background music and you don't even know it.
Beastie Boys are just fun. License to ill, was my childhood. It was the first hip-hop album I had. My P’s wouldn’t let me, but my older sister had the cassette and let me copy it. I was probably 10. A simpler time. I would lay on my bed, close my eyes, and try to memorize every song.
Aah I remember License to ill! My first hiphop discovery! Went and bought a few other hiphop albums at the local records store. Boy was I disappointed. I bought Missy Elliot - supadupa fly. :( Was hoping for something very different! Wanted something that fought for my right to party. heh
I was 4 when it came out, my older sisters had the cassette and listened to it a bit. I'm not sure if I learned from the music video for Fight for your Right or the tape but I would sing the song with them, we each had our own part :) I bought the CD when I was in high school and played the hell out of it, I can still freestyle the lyrics to Paul Revere when I'm bored. anytime Sabotage comes on the volume gets cranked to max in the car, part of the reason I have some hearing damage :)
Was 24 when License to ill came out. Still have the album on vinyl. Still love it!
I'm so happy you chose this particular BB track. Perfect!
Had the pleasure of seeing them live in my home NYC in the early days. Between them playing their instruments or being groundbreaking mc's, they hold a huge spot in my heart. ❤
My first concert ever!!
Guess who OPENED for them???
PUBLIC ENEMY
now THAT is a concert - GOAT x 2 - first time I saw them Rollins opened up
@@summereyes the Beastie Boys came out absolutely wasted, throwing beer at the audience, everyone loving it, losing their minds and I was like... can we bring back the stepping soldiers?!?! I... I... couldn't quite catch the lyrics.
2 weeks later, room, new cassette, tiny cassette player, notebook, pencil, start, stop, write, rewind, start, stop....
Fight the Power for LIFE ✌✊👊
You lucky bastard...
OMG! I'm sooo damn jealous!!
This is what a real Mc does. Tall talent, no digital bullshit to loop back with, just raw unadulterated skills.
Seeing all these people genuinely smile and vibe to the same piece of nostalgia is definitive happy fuel
For someone who was young enough to buy this album on CD. I am very happy to see a new generation experiencing one of my favorite albums of all time. Hello Nasty.
MC'ing (Master of Ceremonies), cutting and scratching. This is Hip Hop. This is good entertainment. Pure creative gold.
ladies and gentlemen this is what true hip hop/ rap sounds like. these cats (beastie boys) started in the mid 80's and rap was fun to listen to back then and for all to enjoy, not a black thing or white thing, but all of us. License to ill was so enjoyable and dope!!! I suggest you guys and gals give it a listen. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Seeing them live with Mix Master Mike was blessed.
Everytime I listen to this....Goosebumps!!!!!
Beastie Boys are smooth AF🔥🔥🔥
Saw Beasties multiple times in their prime! Most talented live act that ever lived.
Their set at Lollapalooza was one of the best I've ever seen. And to think they started as a NY hardcore punk band
@@sonnytims4237 You're referring to Lollapalooza 4 correct? I saw that performance at Randall's Island, NY
This video is pure props to the DJ.
They are all frozen in place in the basement because with out the DJ in the background they got nothing to do.
It is like saying you all know us but we are nothing with out him.
I watch so many of these folks on the regular; this is such a great compilation. Thank you!!
Mix master Mike is arguably the greatest DJ in history. On old school turntables with vinyl he is the best hands down. Jazzy Jeff is a real close second.
Roc raida from the xmen was pretty scary on deck
Oh man, another great selection, Mr. Brooks! Worth the wait!
The B Boys are a genre of their very own! I have this DVD, you can pick different mixes and camera angles. It's off the chain!
Another awesome compilation ❤️😊😊 Thanks for all your hard work ❤️❤️
Another brilliant one. Thank you, man!
I'm the same age as these cats from the mean streets of Flatbush, Brooklyn!
I grew up watching, absorbing, and listening to true hip-hop.
The Beastie Boys, along with RUN DMC, will always be amongst my all-time favorite music acts!
These cats were possibly the funkiest white dudes to ever come out of the music scene!
Yaaaas! Taking me back to my teens. God I miss this kind of music. This is what it was about back in the day. Moving the crowd!
I remember when they first came out. Had their very first album. Actually a tape. Lol! Yeah I’m old! Another kick ass reaction from all!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🍻
Took a while before he showed up so I was going to say if you don’t have Mr. video in this reaction then you’re missing the best one 😂
"If this came out today..." It would be dope as hell and dominate.
Worked a MIX Master Mike show years ago. he is amazing.
One of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life was Beastie boys and run DMC
I love watching the younger crowd because I was in my 20's when the beastie boys came out and the world changed.
The best part about this Music video is that they did this in one take. This was done live in their studio.
I love this compilation!!!
Much respect to whoever edited this. That was not an easy task.
Your videos are excellent. You're an amazing editor 😅
A plain example of a real masterpiece ❤
Another banger, D Brooks can't miss.
The coolest thing is Mix Master Mike replied to Mr Videos reaction and Mr Video was in heaven
The high energy of 80s & 90s hip hop was incredible. Hearing stuff like this would get me out of a coma and dancing in seconds haha Great times
This was fabs! Bring back old school hip hop! So joyous! Threw Ma back out groovin to it!
That was one of the best videos I've seen in a long time, definitely gonna check out the content on this channel
"it's about to end like this.. good" love it!
Beastie Boys were great. In the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. I think they would be very relevant today.
OP, Great content. I have watched this 3 times front - back. Editing genius. Let's go!
Top notch editing, as usual
That "Good!" at the last second of this video!
Saw them live ...bought a mix master Mike tshirt and still have it.....when hip hop was real..
one of my all time hip-hop videos ever! beastie boys 4ever!
I love these compilations! Got a new subscriber man!
Been a fan my whole life. Never seen this video. Used to the album version. This is awesome 😊
Killed it lol. Your videos kick ass!
The Beasties were always a few years ahead of things. So much stuff they did had people head scratching and then a few years later being like HOLY SHIT.
i look so forward to these videos now
Love this song and all these reactors! Watched it three times in a row! Lol Great!
Exactly!!! It’s the simplicity of the video that makes it awesome ❤❤❤
This is by far the best reaction compilation video tom date...this song is epic as is are the reactions.... amazing!
They need to some of the Paul's boutique stuff... IMO some of the best beastie boys
Video was done live in one take. Madness.
One of the best videos ever made.
Pure genius.
Makes me wanna cry!!!! My favourite band!! Can't believe you kids didnt know them!!!!!
Derek Brooks!!! Props to your editing man, very nice work!
Very well produced, and special props for the balanced audio. Wish I'd looked at this before watching all the originals 😛
took it to the next next level on this one!
I was a fan since 1986 when my cousins introduced me to their music in England; I was 14 years old. Good old days!
Ha! Mr Video freezing with the Beastie Boys!!! You rock dude!
This is some damn fine editing
Dude your the best editor for this type of thing.
you're
Great editing on this!!
Awesome as always
If this came out now it would be by far the best rap music being made
Man, agreed. Music today is so damn lost and meaningless but this is fresh!!
Another Banger! This just makes me smile.Oh yeah ONE take!
This vid never gets boring!
OMG , that big boys face, they way he was just starting at you !! It's funny cause I watch that other guy as well ☄️
Beasties = Pure Genius. Too bad music isn’t this good anymore.
I like this, all the different reactions of so many people.
I love this. I love you too. Whoever you are.
“That’s some GOAT shit right there” sums it up perfectly.
It's amazing to watch everyone enjoying this music.
6:00 - LOL. The reactor reacting to Leo ( Mr. Video ) hamming it up in his reaction?
Out of nowhere that cracked me up! Nice addition.
80's BABY!!! Miss this
"fight for your right " is one of the best
That was fun! You’re missing Shakashine Reacts, who has the most Beastie Boys reactions on UA-cam.
Oh yes! Although DAME is catching up quick!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yay!! My favorite BB's song!!
Pure dopeness. Seeing Mmm doing his dmc style intro opener and then the guys come on and kill with him is one of the best live experiences I've had outside of a prince gig. This video is so raw it captures the essence of that. It is that... just in a desolate basement of weirdness lol
Seen him in concert quite a few times and badass! I'm pretty sweet when you're snowboarding
So much love and respect for Beastie Boys
Adam 💔🙏🎶❤️
Love that y'all are hearing it for the first time!!!
"It's about to end like this..good!" Lol. You gotta love the Beastie Boys♥️🙌
The real Meta-Reaction hahaha... I loved this :)
My boys fav!! ❤🤩
He would rap into anything, dancing around, like he was as badass as Mike D!!
Wow, haven't heard/seen this in a while, great memories, thanks Derek. ❤👍🏽
Damn that DJ made my day
"or am I trippin right now." LMAOO
