Thank you Blair for bringing us along in your road trip heading home Amazing Brice Canyon I would have never ever heard of it other than from you guys 👏👏👏👏👏
This stirred a few memories for my wife and me. We've visit the USA just once for our 25th wedding anniversary in 1997. We toured on the tandem bicycle. Started in Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome Basin, Zion and finished at Grand Canyon. Like you, I was a rock-climber in my younger days but any man who climbed El Cap in the 70's has my utmost respect. Glad to see you still have a sense of adventure. Thanks for all your videos,
My goal to climb El Cap started as a young teenager. Did it at 18. Failed three times before finishing it. All while only 18 years old. When I think back, I am surprised by what I did at such a young age.
Majestic comes to mind. Travel is good for your mind, probably your health too. The most desolate places I’ve ever seen was the Badlands and the high Sierra, up above the tree line and in the rocky basins, where you see nothing but rock, maybe a little water. After that the prairie comes close. Thanks for sharing Blair!
After watching the section about bristlecone pines, I went out into my backyard and discovered two had germinated (I’ve been growing them from seed) Brilliant timing! 🌲
Wow it's been 32 years since I've seen the views your video showed. Every thing is a little different 😊 lol. 12 year old mind's don't usually grasp a lot during a Westcoast hiking adventure to most of all the major national parks. I guess I'm different because I sure remember a heck of a lot. Thanks my friend for all your awesome videos, pictures and especially your knowledge that I have instilled in my daily work life and others around me. I think I have watched darn near every one of them. Keep'm coming my friend. Have a beautiful morning. Enjoy your weekend.
I've visited CanyonLands almost every year since 1987 on my first visit. 30+ times... For driving thru, Zion is very scenic. I go into an area behind "The Needles", Beef Basin area into Abajo Mtns, Bears Ears.... had to walk off the Abajo's--Bears Ears area when the battery failed in my truck in the snow! 25+ miles down to Blanding.

This is a virga cloud. In fact it is precipitation that due to high temperature and too dry conditions it evaporates before it reaches the soil. Here in Greece we also have a monster heatwave for over 12 days now. Scientists are impressed with the duration of the heatwave and think of it as abnormal severe and extraordinary. Like Greece relocated in Egypt. Hardly any rain has fallen in most parts for three months now and the averages temperature is 4-5 Celsius over the climate average. And all these after a dry and hot autumn, winter and spring. Our forests (both Mediterranean and Broadleaf ecosystems) are suffering hard time. They are for a decade now in the edge of destruction
It’s another reason I love this channel, things like this. Outstanding natural beauty. Thanks Blair
I do try to change the content up from time to time. I believe I’m pretty good with a camera.

Except for the heat, good trip

So many different environments in this country.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad you live on the mountain where temps are moderate, Blair.

About ten degrees cooler than the valley

In 5000 years, will anyone remember that you started them?😁
@@arboristBlairGlenn No man, no animal, but the trees themselves.
Thank you Blair for taking us along.

@@PowerTom286 hope you enjoyed this. Not my typical tree video.

Excellent, thanks for taking the time to take us along!
I know it was a bit long and dragged out but some of the shots we got were so beautiful!
Such a beautiful area. The west has some awesome views.
But, cooler season travels

5:40 wow!
It took my breath away!
We did a trip from Phoenix to Grand Canyon.
Also, stopped in Sedona.
Amazing views.
