RIP Bob, thank you for all the laughs. 🫡 Now he can be together with Rickles, Johnny, Ed, and ofc his lovely wife Ginny ❤. Comedy like this you don't see nowadays.
Two great men, true entertainers, Carson had great guests; the animals were hilarious. I watched everything Newhart. Humor, talent without vulgarity, those were the days.
I so admired Bob and his dry Humor and he is indeed up in Heaven making all Laughing and Loving all you have always brought to Our World! RIP Bob Newhart! 🌹🌈
What a legacy. Those two fantastic shows, the standup, the appearances, and always that understated delivery. When doing ensemble work, he let those around him shine even more than himself. And I always enjoyed those standup routines, his half of the phone calls and interviews. Comedy gold. He will be missed. But he lives on in those who follow in his footsteps, like his most ardent student, Carrot Top. Okay, maybe not Carrot Top.
I loved that show! I was really surprised when the last few minutes of Newhart was a flashback! That was monstrously creative and I’ve always wondered where that idea came from
@@PartyOf8Please It came from the end of the 9th season of the Dallas series when Bobby (Patrick Duffy) was killed off (he wanted to try new things) but Larry Hagman asked him to come back because the show wasn't doing well. The whole 10th season was without Bobby, then in the first scene of the 11th season Pamela opened the door of the shower and Bobby was there. Patrick Duffy's wife said that the only way Bobby could come back was if it was all a dream. That statement gave the writers the answer to how he could possibly return and the rest is history! Bob Newhart told this story in one of his interviews. So it was 'stolen' from Dallas but only Bob Newhart could make it work! LOL
@@PartyOf8Please You're very welcome. We're also watching the Dallas series on DVD now. Another Great show if you like lust, sin, betrayal and great acting and actors. Haha! BTW, That whole ''shower scene'' in Dallas was a huge point of ridiculed and laughed at by many people. I figure that's why B.N. thought it would be a perfect ending. He was right. Cheers!

Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Ann Marie strunk, has been an amazing experience.
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Ann Marie strunk😊

😂🎉❤ Rest in Paradise All. 🙏👌
"Some of them are still there, waiting for the trip back" 😂 Johnny's the best😂😂
They are both legends
Watching these brings good memories, but also despair to realize how far we have fallen. Nothing comparable to this today.
Sadly, totally true
Agree fully. I remember a TV show called Time Tunnel - the idea holds a lot of appeal these days.
Great interview.
Yes, we were so free then.. no one under 30 or so has any idea.
Love them all best ever ❤️
RIP to Bob Newhart and Johnny Carson
Miss them all... full of kindness, fun, laughter, and good will towards all 👍

Hard to believe they have all passed away. 😢
RIP Bob Newhart. One of the great comics of that era.
Love watching intelligent conversation along with the seventies men’s attire.
@pam me too! My Father used to dress just like Johnny. At the time I didn't know, because I was too young to watch TV @ 11:30pm😅

Wow here I am watching something at 59 yrs old and was 10 years old at the time it came out. And I’m older than they. Time is strange
Oh to be able to go back to those times.
Same. And to just stay for the rest of our lives. Kids today have no clue.
They were each working a little hard to keep this one going but it was still pleasant.
The 1970’s Johnny Carson era was golden.

It is sad these days are gone. Today all we have is woke people on tonight shows. We need more people who are more like johnny carson
When comedy was clean…
Bob was good for decades. There really are no good late shows once DL left.

Nearly a half a century ago. 😮
Great to see the smoking. It's a good thing he did or he might have lived to one hundred and twenty 😂
He did quit, eventually...they spoke of it in another (future) time on this show. Carson may have also, eventually.
Miss Newhart and his deadpan humor. Hard to understand as a little kid, but I knew he was funny.
