Rickles and Landon were on a roll and Johnny had lost all control. What a wonderful show it was.
-" Well, the only problem with the horses is that the four of us mounting together is a difficult proposition, it's not easy..."
- "I found that out at a party I was at one night. We had this big stallion, it was fantastic. The missus would always say, 'I don't understand that'. That's why she's in a room with a rubber duck."
-" And happy."
Lord, those two were firing off one another like electricity.
Those two guys on either side of Don Rickles look so sweet with the way they sit with there legs crossed.
I very rarely laugh. I could hardly stay in my chair I was laughing so hard. Hilarious and so fast.
That's so tragic!!! Check out my Rickles, Carson, & 60's/70's playlists to continue to free yourself from what must be a torturous existence 💕
Don Rickles -- "I hope your pencil gets a rupture!" 😆
What a human being ! Legends never die.
Agree
Carson lights a cigarette mid-conversation on national TV. Classic!
Some shows they would smoke n have cocktails..
Like JRE
Sad, but i just chalk it up to ignorance. Not meant in any disrespectful way. No one really comprehended how much harm smoking could do. We now know better, so we ought to do better.
He smoked four packs of Pall Mall cigarettes a day and died of emphysema.
@@JayJay-me8zk yet his ignorance will be remembered. Yours won't..
@@gerardoarambula4377 I guess you're a smoker
Carson + Rickles is everytime great but with Landon that time was 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great classic stuff from a time when airing our differences brought us together. You almost had to know Michael Landon to understand when he was joking and not, but once you catch on, he's like his own straight man. Don Rickles is a treasure disguised as a demon.
Fun fact: Dave Tebet, mentioned several times by Don, was a NBC behind-the-scenes power-broker for decades. He ended up being Johnny's personal network exec for the next ten years.
thanks for this comment I was trying to Google the guy as I wasn't sure if I heard the name right
Rickles always seemed to have a blast when other guests had their spot with Johnny.
Especially when interviews got a bit awkward. It was right up his alley.
I am laughing harder and longer in this one video, than I have ever laughed a week of the other late night shows in this year 2022.
My god, is it a generational thing, I'm 60, or were they night time hosts just more funny and talented?
I so glad i an checking these out again. Just makes you appreciate the art and skill of the leaders of the television 📺.
I grew up in this world and thought it would always be like this. It isn't anymore.
Me, too. Great days, sadly long gone.
Me too…and no it is not👍🏾
We raised stupid and then exalted it over wit.
There is nobody like these guys, they were great. The Tonight Show is nothing like that today...
Well said Diane,,,those greats from yesteryear will never be equalled..i miss them All!!👍
Jimmy Fallon's kinda like a big kid---unsophisticated 😴😴😴😴
