I would like to see a B.A.S.S. tourny where they could not use any electronics of any kind, then you would see who the best Bass fisherman was..lol, great video
I’ve always said, if you want to figure out the best fisherman…Take away the electronics, give the all a stripped down flat bottom, one pole and a choice of 5 lures.
@@RaisedOutdoors ya thats sounds even better
@@RaisedOutdoorsthat sounds like an amazing tourney idea.
@@thecrappiehurtlocker2605 lol I think so. Probably not many takers
People lose sight of the fact that the electronics are merely another tool that they use to locate the fish. No electronic fishfinder has ever landed a fish! The angler has to still catch them. There are plenty of old school tournament anglers out there that spend most of their time sight fishing in shallow water and rarely use their electronics.
Lol I thought for a sec you caught a pike.
They stocked pike in this Lake when it was built. A guy caught a State record out of it….but they didn’t make it in there long
I only ever find them by pure luck. 😛 Ah, you caught my nemesis fish, the dreaded pickerel. Great crappie.
They’re finicky fish. Yes that’s the only lake I catch them in
I just got a Viper X 2000 this week. I am really looking forward to trying it out.
Very Nice reel
I just ordered it today. I've heard only good things about it.
@@Dbl_OG_13 I have several of their reels and it’s probably my favorite.
@@Dbl_OG_13 I just got the 3000 also. Vacation starts in 3 days. WOOT!
@Dbl_OG_13 one of my favorite reels I’ve owned
Fascinating that an actual fishermen still exist that uses his mind to find fish.
It helps being married. Fish are like women, sometimes they do everything differently than you expected 😂 I appreciate the comment!
You got into a nice mess of crappie. I need to work on catching some soon!
Appreciate it. Hopefully you do and catch a cooler full
Nice crappie. Are the pickerel good to eat?
I’ve never eaten one but the people I know who have said it’s a hard pass for them
We hate pickerel, terrible to eat and they eat up all the bait fish so we kill them in lakes in stuff
Where are you fishing? Beautiful water!!!
Southwest Arkansas. It’s definitely a beautiful area
@@RaisedOutdoors I'm located around Booneville and trying to look for new waters to fish. Can you help me out with areas down there? Thanks Rick
@@rickylunsford6137 there’s a lot of good places. Depends on the lake you want to fish really and what equipment you have. Shoot me an email
@RaisedOutdoors yes sir, running a Skeeter 21' with Garmin 1223's si/di and livescope also Humminbird with 360. Still learning the Garmin's. I do a lot of bass fishing, but would like to learn more about the crappie side.
Thanks Rick
