Scent free laundry products ✔️ Scent free soap ✔️ Scent free deodorant ✔️ Camo Dust - Check Mate! Arkansas early buck hunt was a success on first set. Patterned a nice 8 point coming in like clock work to a food source, winds were swirling so I got serious about my scent control and settled into a ground level shooting house….he never knew I was there.

Congrats on a nice buck!! I got a chocolate colored 9pt the same day you got your's! My first chocolate antlered buck! He was about 4 1/2 to 5 yrs old. Nice mass, tall rack, long tines and perfectly semetrical! I've killed bigger wider bucks but none like this. I was proud and blessed to harvest this one. May you be blessed with filling all your tags in this season!
@@MindyMouser very nice comment! Congratulations on your buck! Don is a pretty selective deer hunter (way more than myself lol) He definitely got himself a nice buck
Nice buck man! Love them chocolate bones. IMO I’d say you hit him a little low and far back, not high. Regardless it got the job done!! Congrats!! 💯💪🏼💥💥💥
He definitely got a good one. We typically don’t shoot high shoulder but double lung or heart. With these rifles being sighted to be on at 200, it’s not unusual to hit high at times on closer deer and we like to have a margin of error. One stop at the tracking page and those high shoulder shots have those dogs busy. It’s personal preference and a lot of guys like that shot. Whatever puts them down! Really appreciate the comment and view!
Great Buck am still looking for my Muy Grande buck !
We’ve been fortunate to take a couple good bucks so far. One early and one rifle. Hopefully can get a couple more. Good luck, hope you get a wall hanger!
Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving have a blessed day!!!!

Great buck in anyone's woods. Congrats man. Fine shot with that ML. Love the dark horns. We have that here in the piney woods of East Texas too. I hunt on my son's ranch in the Hill Country near Mason, Tx. Antlers are more grayish and not near as perdy lol. Again, congrats.
That was actually 2nd week of gun season 30-06. I agree he got a really good buck and the color and shape of the rack tops it off!
@@RaisedOutdoors I couldn't understand that 2nd sentence. Could you rewrite it lol
@@easttexan2933 I think I fixed it. Stupid I phone

Appreciate it Marine! Thanks for your service and dedication! I live in a house with some deadly women! Lol
Nice hunt and deer. How do you like that cart y’all hauled him out with?
It’s a lifesaver! Only thing with that particular cart it it needs a longer handle which I keep saying I’m going to add but haven’t
That is a very nice first deer, well done!
She was very happy with it!
Great shot on a nice buck. 👌
Appreciate it!
@RaisedOutdoors I remember my first deer ever. A 3 point taken on one of our farms. I was standing in the gas well road up the holler and saw them coming around the hillside. I made a uphill shot and dropped him following a doe. My dad saw me from the hillside behind me..about 10 years later I watched him take his last deer..a 311 yard shot with open sights. Off a gate at the cattle pens. He couldn't use a scope. But open sight and he hit what he aimed at..we had many wonderful hunts in the years between and many memories..I've taken countless deer from that farm since then. But it's not the same.
@williamwimer2074 yea it definitely changes year to year as kids grow and the older generation passes. My first deer was a button buck with a 12 gauge…..all 5 rounds 😆
@RaisedOutdoors My first rifle was a marlin 336 30/30 weaver 3by 9 scope. Used to be 7 of us that hunted our farms. Now I'm the only one..other 2 are younger and joined a big hunting club..500 a year and you mite not kill a deer. Or see and has to be 8 point and up. Not for me. I can go up the holler and see at 25 to 30 without really looking for..sometimes I've seen as many as 37 in the first couple days..and in the morning too..usually about 3 day before we see same deer...I 52 does and fawns one day all in one group..watch single file from one side to the other and up and over the ridge. Like sheep
@williamwimer2074 I’ve killed a lot with an old Marlin 30-30 and still hunt with one some. We don’t have deer numbers like that and it seems big leases have taken over but I can’t justify joining one
Congrats my friends! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks
Great shot. Congratulations
Hate that the footage blurred. Between distance and camera trying to focus on everything else it didn’t pick up. Appreciate it
