Another Great Video.Lots of information. Can’t wait to get out there .love the lake your on. Still waiting on my hand to heal.MAY GOD KEEP ON BLESSING YOU
Another great video I run all Garmin but still learn every time I watch thanks for the live foot information I think that’s the way to go be safe out there and God Bless
This is some great info!!! FFS does you little good if you can’t locate fish with the big motor and knowing what areas to start looking at for the time of year is also crucial. Good stuff!!!
Thank you for this video. I have shared it with my stepdad who is 76 fishing the TN river. He always loves learning something new about crappie and your channel has been awesome!!
You’re the best! Thank you for explaining the graph setup as it pertains to what you’re looking for and how you’re marking the crappie. I’m fishing with the same electronics and the Lite Foot. DD26 should sponsor you!!! Really appreciate the fan support you provide, very educational and encouraging to watch your video’s. Keep them coming and my best to you for next year’s Elite Season.
Hey Brandon, great video I just mounted 2 hds live 9’s on my boat w active target and MK ultrex I just retired and I’m new to crappie fishing, I have bass fished most of my life. I enjoy following your videos they help me while I’m in this learning curve. I remember when I ran 3 Humming Bird flashers on my boat I thought that was the setup back in the day. Lol 😂
Been on the Tn river below PIckwick dam 50+ years. Learned more after getting side scan then I ever did. But with Mega live, I now not only know more. But its so easy to find fish. But still have to make them bite.
Thanks Brandon for this informative video.I have mega live and have not gotten use to it for whatever reasons.I have run lowrance before and thought I would go mega.I made a mistake after watching your video and now think lowrance is for me do to easy functionality.
Brandon, great video. I mostly fish TN river from Big Sandy to Paris Landing also on main river. Used to be great fishing, getting better again. I also fish MS, great information. PB
I had been looking at the Livefoot and after asking your opinion I went on and ordered …it came in and installed it last week I agree it just looks better than the others on the market …
You have become one of my favorite crappie channels on UA-cam brother love what you do and how you teach! Regarding this video, electronics make life so much easier to find crappie. Before electronics how would you go about finding crappie?
Awesome video! You are a great teacher and I enjoy learning from you. Please come shoot one in west tn. North of I-40 on tn river if I can help steer you a bit. 👍
very informative. i recently purchased the live foot and love it. do you use the foot buttons to rotate it or the key fob? i would like for you to do a video on staying on the fish / brush while casting to it in some wind .
I use the foot buttons. Mount them where they are easy to get to so you can make little adjustments left and right as needed. That’s the easiest way I’ve found. Thanks for watching
It’s tilted up just a little but I think it has a lot more to do with it being mounted in the right spot and all your wiring being installed correctly. Big wire and dedicated power equals a clear picture.
I know on older lowrance you could adjust the ping speed, which gave a clearer picture, more detail.. on humminbird, ping speed and scroll speed are linked.. search thru your settings and see if you can find ping speed, if u can, crank it up. envision an artist painting a picture as hes walking past it,, the faster he can paint, the more detail he will get..
Not sure if you knew it or not but the first crappie you caught was a magnolia crappie with the stripe down its back. I noticed it when you weighed it.
Excellent vid, we’re you running your downscan on 800 as well? Great tip, never thought of running diff color palettes on a split screen thanks so much.
I run all my electronics on a single 100ah impulse lithium battery. Never had an issue and still have 70% battery life after a long day of fishing. On my trolling batteries I run two 40AH 36volt impulse lithiums in parallel. Never an issue there either
@@BrandonLesterFishing Thanks Brandon. You start off the same battery too? I'm running two 12 Pro's, two Gen 2 12's, two nmea networks, AT 2, lights, aerator and bilge pump off my group 31 lead acid battery. I'm thinking I've found it's limit.
@@1justinp61 yes I start off electronics battery also. Plus run livewells, lights, and accessories. I was late to the game and really did my research on lithiums before making the jump. But I’ll never look back now. Impulse Lithium has a 10yr warranty also and are a great, family owned company.
Start with what your confident in and works most for you. If they won’t bite that then start playing with size, color, and rate of fall. Thanks for watching.
I do. I find it easier to stay lined up when using active target (when using the transducer on the shaft) with the ultrex. The ghost is a better motor for shallow water power fishing though. It’s stronger and quieter than the ultrex. Both are great motors but the ultrex works for me and I’m going to stick with it for now. Thanks for watching!
MAN! I love your video's. They're very informative, interesting and intelligently produced. But please stop saying, come here BOY. It just doesn't sound right. 😂 I'm sure you mean no harm. Keep up the good work.

I’m an old crappie fisherman with a ton of experience and I do like your videos. I always pick out something that will help me catch more fish.

Several of them were black nose or magnolia. Impressive!

Fish visual structure like treetops and bridge columns until you find them. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video - New subscriber.
And good video as always
You should make that hour long video i would watch it
Hi Brandon, I loved your videos they have a lot of great information. what lake are you fishing on?
Your images are so clear! Do you mount your rear transducer at an upward angle to help keep it level while idling?
It’s tilted up just a little but I think it has a lot more to do with it being mounted in the right spot and all your wiring being installed correctly. Big wire and dedicated power equals a clear picture.
Great video
Thanks!

We call them black nose around here. Probably 40-50% of the crappie we catch are them. Fun to catch and fight like crazy.

Yes downscan on 800 as well. Thanks for watching!
Lake Conway?
Brandon do you adjust you units for winter drawdown?
what khz is your down image set on very good video
A great informational video, thank you.
Another great video, thanks Brandon. What is the battery set up in your boat?

Brandon, do you crappie fish on center hill lake?
What size split shot are you using above your jig head?
Brandon when you gona come to Pickwick and film a crappie video??
I need to. I’ve never crappie fished down there but have several good friends that catch them. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff but is any conditions that make you lean towards certain techniques or color/type jigs?
Start with what your confident in and works most for you. If they won’t bite that then start playing with size, color, and rate of fall. Thanks for watching.

Blue is better to my eyes
Brandon does the live foot get in the way of using your boat cover?
It makes it tighter but it will still go on. Thanks for watching!
What kind of knot you tie to your flou
Do you prefer the ultrex over the ghost?
I do. I find it easier to stay lined up when using active target (when using the transducer on the shaft) with the ultrex. The ghost is a better motor for shallow water power fishing though. Brandon if you where fishing for catfish would you use 800 or 455
800 because I’m typically going to be looking in deeper water. Thanks for watching!
I would very much like to watched the 1 hour video you are referring to .
