It will seem so roomy if u live with only what you need but maybe that will come naturally when you become serious sailors and get on the high seas. You'll realise your priorities and what makes sense to lug with you around the world. Especially from a weight point of view.

Fingers crossed that the engine proves salvageable. I'm sure it'll be a huge relief to get it properly sorted. Best of luck because there is a fair bit to do. Shout out to Mark for wearing his festive socks. There’s a man who knows no fear😉 Is there no protection for the cockpit?
As the owner of a 1960 vintage 21ft yacht which has cruised Scotland extensively with three small children, I was very interested in this. Do you have trouble with mould? But my main interest is sailing - with all that frontal area, will she go to windward at all? Or are we just hoping the new engine does the business?!

Hello Mark and your wonderful wife and Yoshi. That was a nice boat tour and shows that your place is lived in not like most boat tour videos everything is all made up perfect like the boat has never been lived in. And selling your boat as it is being lived in is much better. And as far as all of your electrical wiring goes and your patching jobs I think they're just fine it adds character to your boat lol joking. Yes I would be getting that electrical straightened out and add some more solar panels if there is more room on the roof me I love solar I have a 50 watt panel with three batteries and I charge my phone on that all the time I can run my 200 watt small inverter on that if I need to shave or cut my hair at any time. And it will be nice to see you motor back in your boat and running waiting for that episode. Anyways all of you be safe and take care stay healthy God bless you I love watching your videos you are a wonderful couple.
They have a plug in foldaway portable panel system and a lithium power station...and a small portable generator set.. but i cannot remember if Mark said he had a problem with that beyond the noise problem. If they get round to building a rigid bimini over part or all the cockpit thats the place for anymore fixed panels. Though a lot of monohulls hang a pair ether side of the hull off the safety rails...and prop them up to catch more light at anchor. See sailing Cahoda another Uk couple. I keep trying to pursuade Mark to do some Wombling and to make a black pvc solar water heating spiral coil to augment a deck shower bag system for summer use. They use the same set ups to heat swimming pools.
Moving in and out for weeks while painting/sanding the deck and all I would imaging the cockpit being the last thing you would want to address and paint first...The main thoroughfare will be trampled and trashed and end up looking worn and the same as it is now by the time you finish the deck and put the engine back in , just my thought on the matter. I've always known that boat was big but the tour was excellent in showing just how big she is, that place where the drill press was is big enough to turn into a workshop in the long run , minus the over sized drill press of course.
Nice to see two people wanting to do the same thing and have done so well restoring the boat. My wife wont go near a sailing boat, or any boat smaller than a cruise ship. I was wandering how you are able to stay in Europe now that the UK has stupidly left the EU?
Minke after all, is a wildling vessel, we'd expect nothing more than a wild, dishevelled look to her. ... Mark I hope your mum doesn't mind your dad sharing with Nadiyana's friend 😉🤣
OK, but remember what you said several weeks ago: "I Need to Stop Bodging this Catamaran Refit. | Wildlings Sailing" Personally and from my poor´n humble point of view...I would say: Whatever it takes to get out of that Marina before you (self) inflict anymore pain!
It's fine it's liveable you just need to clean and declutter often write a jobs list down and work through it one at once everything gets ticked of eventually if you focus and stay with it, your still floating that's the main thing HeHe best wishes to you all
Dear Wildlings Sailing family and cute Yoshi 💚 ??? Don't know what you are talking about. But if you really think/feel so, you can always rename Minke into "Horrible Mess". ;-) 😁 I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next video. Best regards, luck and health to all of you.
I discovered a guy had a modern large monohull that also had the same twin drive system as Minki but larger. Then this morning in my news feed up popped a huge 4 or 5 Motor hydraulically driven cargo drone 🤯 So it looks like your cutting edge technology again... 😁 Though i think their single pump drive motor was electric. An idea i put to you a week or two back ...save wt, space, noise and only have a single motor but keep your twin prop manouverability.
I would take out that storage unit and turn the two bunks into a double birth with storage underneath.. It looks like you could if you clever improve the usability of that space and improve the storage at the same time. It might be worth window shopping for inspiration on similar size catamarans for refit ideas, so many clever ways to improve space.
Lovely tour and looking good. Beautiful headroom all round and on the bridge deck. Why are you still sleeping upside down. Reg White built our Comanche32 a similar design to Minke. Good luck with the engine. Take care. Xxx
Find a old computer. But a big hard drive. Pay for jrivers. A 12 volt amp and weather proof speakers. Speaker switches. Now you got a entertainment system. Audio books, music and movies. If you want Find a dac. Remember you can do this work while travel as soon as motor in.
Learn to make copper lugs, out of copper pipe. Solder everything. Heat shrink. Have a look on youtube. Going overland, ezywash modification on frame. I used 2 right angle. Flat bar, 12 mm threaded rod. 4 nylock nuts and wing nuts. Washing cloths. The switch look on ebay for switch board. With usb outlet. Make selve for charging. Check out Greer's great Aussie adventures solar videos. Give you wiring ideas.
You really need to shift that EPIRB. If you ever get in a situation you have to use it you do not need to be entering a sinking ship to get it. Mount it as close to the companion way as possible and in easy reach of the cockpit.
Twenty years ago this summer we sailed our Hirondelle Mk1 catamaran along the UK South Coast with 3 young sons. One of the best holidays we have ever had, definitely worth the previous year of refitting. Your Cherokee is similar vintage (slightly newer) and vast by comparison. We recently put our home video from that cruise on UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/d-YoD_7sdXY/v-deo.html You are going to have lots of awesome times ahead on your cat.
I notice a "slight" difference in your attitude to organising jobs as compared to Sailing Melody which you visited recently and his meticulous use of sticky notes to remind of work to be done, pending and finished... Still time for you to change.. :-)) stay safe !

Very nice, keep up!🤟
Hi just wondering what you use for navigation ,would be good to do a video on it,I’m thinking of getting gps and así system that works with my ipad
I bought a ever shower. If you build a recycle water shower. You can have a long shower with fresh rinse. Then you save on water.
| Wildlings Sailing"
Personally and from my poor´n humble point of view...I would say: Whatever it takes to get out of that Marina before you (self) inflict anymore pain!
It's fine it's liveable you just need to clean and declutter often write a jobs list down and work through it one at once everything gets ticked of eventually if you focus and stay with it, your still floating that's the main thing HeHe best wishes to you all
Yup! She may be an absolute tip, but at least she's floating
Dear Wildlings Sailing family and cute Yoshi 💚
??? Don't know what you are talking about. But if you really think/feel so, you can always rename Minke into "Horrible Mess". ;-) 😁
I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next video.
Best regards, luck and health to all of you.
Great
I discovered a guy had a modern large monohull that also had the same twin drive system as Minki but larger. Then this morning in my news feed up popped a huge 4 or 5 Motor hydraulically driven cargo drone 🤯
So it looks like your cutting edge technology again... 😁
Though i think their single pump drive motor was electric.
An idea i put to you a week or two back ...save wt, space, noise and only have a single motor but keep your twin prop manouverability.
Where are you going to put all that stuff when you put to sea? It's a lot. 😄
I would take out that storage unit and turn the two bunks into a double birth with storage underneath.. It looks like you could if you clever improve the usability of that space and improve the storage at the same time. It might be worth window shopping for inspiration on similar size catamarans for refit ideas, so many clever ways to improve space.
Great video...
I agree Mark Bridge deck???? Doesn't' matter..
😉😁😁😁
Exactly, who care 🤣
Lovely tour and looking good. Beautiful headroom all round and on the bridge deck. Why are you still sleeping upside down. Reg White built our Comanche32 a similar design to Minke. Good luck with the engine. Take care. Xxx
Hehe, we don't know, it just feels right that way 😁
For a 35/38 foot boat you sure have a lot of room. Yes I know it’s a cat but still massive
Find a old computer. But a big hard drive. Pay for jrivers. A 12 volt amp and weather proof speakers. Speaker switches. Now you got a entertainment system. Audio books, music and movies. If you want Find a dac. Remember you can do this work while travel as soon as motor in.
Bonus!
omg it is bigger on the inside
I know it is a old cat,but it sure has nice lines.and the design is way better looking than the new cats,in my opinion any way
Cheers, mate. Yes, there's certainly lots of potential
God help anyone who sits upright in the night in those forward bunks, but the galley is generous and good food is good for moral! More recipes please!
Yes, god help our hypothetical children 😁
@@WildlingSailing get crackin mate! :P
Lucky man with a girl a dog and a cat around him
I just did a engine swap in my boat today way easier on land !
You should have a fold down or swing out stool kitchen
Salon/Saloon/Galley = Middle bit LOL
good tour - I had no damned idea after many episodes what your layout could possibly be. None of it made sense, until today.
We recently put our home video from that cruise on UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/d-YoD_7sdXY/v-deo.html
You are going to have lots of awesome times ahead on your cat.
It's called a Salon !
Nice tour. How much standing headroom?
Loads! I'm 5,11 and there's plenty for me throughout, apart from the living room where it steps down a bit
@@WildlingSailing thanks!
Cool Cat, may i ask what you paid for her
Cheeky bonus.
A cheeky one, just fuyou
I notice a "slight" difference in your attitude to organising jobs as compared to Sailing Melody which you visited recently and his meticulous use of sticky notes to remind of work to be done, pending and finished... Still time for you to change.. :-)) stay safe !
Yin/Yang.
There must be Balance.
