Thank you for this reaction and for loving Rob. Some people underestimated Rob. I remember reading a news article where Rob's voice teacher from college was quoted as saying that Rob had an exceptional voice and was equally good singing, Opera, Jazz or theater and that is very rare. All of these guys have skills they rarely show mostly because country doesn't lend itself to vocal gymnastics. Yet they will sprinkle it in lightly when they can but you see it more often in their live shows. People shouldn't think because they don't do something means they can't.
What was so special for me was the transformation from Rob singing Colder Weather on the Sing-Off and being incredibly nervous...to completely owning his voice in this song. He has always been good, but he just killed this! Burned up the room.
HOME FREE SLAYS THIS Love your reactions..... MISS YOU TWO !!!!!! Its 3-6-21 and i have NOT seen a reaction from you guys in several weeks. HOPE you are well and safe.
Tim's solo is where the Boyz II Men bass "reads" the love letter in the original. I think they wanted to pay tribute to that, but not make it the same, so they had Time do that little piece. It's a sound theory anyway. LOL Love the reaction, thanks guys! ^_^
@@Ididnotwanttojoin: I was actually surprised that Marco didn't understand what Tim was singing. I understood him no problem. But I also happen to like Tim's part (although I wish they made it longer, and not just a tease). And I also rather dislike the bass part in the original, so I'm glad HF went with something different. I prefer their version to the original. Which is no surprise.
I couldn't click fast enough. Rob slayed it. I knew he could sing but I didn't realize he could SING. Even having listened to the song several times I still get goosebumps. Tim's part is the part that in the original comes after the 'talking' part by Michael McCary. In the original everyone sang that part. Just guessing on my part, but I think since they didn't do the talking part that showcases the bass it was their way of showcasing Tim.
Guys! He says, "Lonely! So-o-o Lo-o-o-onely! Tim sings baritone in this song. Chance has the bass line in this one. The original video includes the section that you feel should have been excluded. It's a long love letter by the bass of their group. Give it a quick watch. Thanx, Mindy
I knew you were going to love this. Rob slayed it, and Adam knocked it out of the park. And those harmonies....OMG! You can't beat these guys when it comes to harmonizing. Thanks Guys!
I watch tons of reactors, from all types, kinds, and backgrounds, of music. I always come back to watch your new reactions. You guys are very positive reactors, and that makes a very BIG difference! Keep it up with HF!
Hey guys, nice reaction as always. So in the original version, Boyz 2 men used a bass guitar and an actual drum kit. Chance sung the bass guitar part from the original version with Tim singing the bottom harmony line
Yeah! I've been waiting for you to react to this one! Loved your reaction....it was very detailed! Rob really killed it showing us his R&B side! But of course all the guys did absolutely amazing! They have another new video that may be released to YT this next week! Us Patrons have already had the pleasure of seeing it! This one will also amaze you! Can't wait to see your reaction to it!
I don’t know how I missed this reaction awhile back! Rob killed it in this one!! Those riffs were amazing! Of course, Austin brought it, too! I think Chance was singing bass in this one! Tim was singing baritone. Y’all should check out one of their other originals from Dive Bar Saints. The original single is called “Catch Me If You Can”. It’s different than what they usually do. I believe it has a slight Mumford & Sons style. Rob does lead on it, too!!
Hopeful this stays up. It would be wonderful if performers could either specify approved reactors or specify in their video's if reactions are globally allowed so that hits don't happen. While you are providing your opinions this is really in a way promotion of their songs. Every video of yours I've ever seen includes Original Video. Every responsible reactor I've seen does this. You respect the artists. While you may not love every single part of something that is fair because it's your opinion. All the best guys and keep it coming.
Unfortunately, I don't think performers have as much say in what gets a copyright strike and what doesn't as people seem to think. It's the labels that usually do it.
This was Rob's coming out party!! All the runs, that great growl and the forcefulness in some of the pieces toward the end. He made this rendition amazing. These guys just have a beautiful sound no matter what they sing. I love the original version and now this gave me chills.
Rob slayed this one for me. Austin has this Tenor-soulful voice, and Rob has this Tenor-harmony, and for Rob going full RNB on this one was the biggest shocker for me. I just love his parts towards the end. He did so well to showcase "pain" and "grief" on his voice. As for Tim's part, at first I didn't know in the original there's a part of the Bass doing some "reading", I guess Home Free wanted to include that part as to pay tribute to the whole Boys II Men group. Not a lot liked it, but I do think it still fit well Edit: just a suggestion, make a reaction to the video of Tim Foust breaking their sound system. It was an old video of their live performances. Just search it up, you'll never be disappointed
Saying to mom as I visit home "I should go to bed, read a book" *sees notification* LOUD INHALE: "First I HAVE to see this video". I am almost 22. Never adult.
It was great to hear Rob cut loose like that. Home Free is a group that I try very hard to love. But sometimes they're so pristine, they leave me kind of cold. This one was great by the end though, and it was all thanks to Rob!
Great reaction guys! The look on your faces, from 4:37 to the end (of the road?), when Rob started to slay, was pure joy. Don't you love surprises like this cover? Just when you think you've got Home Free figured out ... this happens.
YEA!!!!!! I have been looking every day for you to react to this!! Rob is a BEAST!!! on this one. They had that B2M Swagger! This is such a great tribute to B2M. LOVED IT!! And ADAM! From beginning to ending - Geez that beatbox -- you could set your watch by it. YES the country vibe is there, and man does it sound fantastic. Rob let his R&B out big time. Tim gave his little shout-out to the B2M bass who does some sort of talking love letter in the original (which I did not like at all in the original). This version of the song is such a tribute to the original and yet so much Home Free. My God, is there a better beatboxer in the world ? I do not think so. LOVE this!!
Thank you for reacting to this one. They have released quite a few original songs recently and I always search for y’alls reactions first (you’re the best). and have missed the fact you have not... Catch Me If You Can... Go Rest High On That Mountain... Dreamer... help a girl out...
They're all such good singers and Rob Lundquist has an exquisite voice - that sweet tenor so reminds of 50s singers (like Neil Sedaka). Thanks for playing it. Austin is from south Georgia and in college (on a full music scholarship) tried for years to nullify his accent - Home Free told him to stop trying.
Listening to you guys react and the sound of your reactions increase the vocals so much. Like so much have sat here and listen to all your Home Free reactions back to back listen to Full of Cheer lmao
Hey guys, I sure miss hearing your reactions to Home Free. Seems you've stopped the past couple months. But you're missing out on a couple of incredible ones with harmonies to die for! All the oohs you love in the background. lol. Try the latest just came out yesterday, their cover of Take Me Home Country Roads. At least that one! Incredible! But then try the Dreamer one, another of my new favorites! I think it's about six now from the new album coming out soon. Thanks, keep up the great work.
Love your Home Free reactions! Would still like to see you react to "Story of My Life" and "Bye Bye Bye" Tim hits some really low notes in Bye Bye Bye!
these guys are so great...thank you both for sharing this... watch the most time your faces.... your mimik tells everything.... T.H.A.N.K. ...Y.O.U. P.S. Excuse my bad english grammar
I agree with Tim's part too but I think it's because that's the part in the original where their bass Michael McCary, reads a love letter with his deep voice, so I'm sure they wanted to fill in that part with Tim somehow. But they were amazing and I liked that Rob got to show off his R&B style.....and he killed it. Thanks for another great HF video.
Fellas!!! Home Free has an original song that is the title cut from their up coming album in July. Dive Bar Saints! It is sick! Please! Do one if your shows on it soon. Love Ya!
Watch the Boys II Men version. There is a spoken interlude in their video, done by their low bass, and the bass solo by Tim, while not replicating the original, seemed to pay tribute to it.
Another A Capella group (I know! There’s now too many to choose from! We are so spoilt for choice with these guys, PTX and Citizen Queen) I’ve just discovered is Voiceplay. They were also on the Sing Off, just like Home Free and PTX. I’m delving through their back catalogue at the moment and have come to Survivor featuring Home Free it was amazing! Much love to you guys from the UK 🇬🇧
I want to make sure to point out that Chance actually sings bass in this song, and Tim is filling in with the baritone harmonies. This switch between them has happened for a fair amount of songs by now, and appears to be happening more commonly. If you listen closely, you can often notice that there is a significant difference between them when they sing bass. Other than that, awesome reaction, as is the same with all your Home Free reaction videos. You guys are possibly the best reactors to Home Free on UA-cam!
I had so much fun watching you guys react pretty much the same way I did when I originally saw it. I think everyone has been about the same. It's such a fantastic arrangement and they totally blew it out of the water. Rob...just...WOW!!! ;-) The Tim part is the only part (as you mentioned) that seems a bit out of place, but I see that has already been approached in other comments, so I figure that's covered. ;-) Thank you for another wonderful reaction. \0/ PS...Did you notice the harmonics in the background? It starts getting louder at about 3:23 in this video. Interested in your thoughts. It's obviously voice, because they don't use anything else...but which voice...and is it looped...or is one of them actually doing overtones (my bet is that might be it, and it might be Chance, who seems to have been deliberately placed almost totally in the background, overall).
I agree with people who think that Tim's part was a nod to the part in the original song (where Boyz II Men's bass talks for quite a long time). I personally prefer that HF changed that part because I don't really like the bass part in the original song. It just sounds too... I guess 'cheesy' would be the word I would have to go for. What HF did feels both like a nod to the original (Yes, we know there was a long bass part here.) and a tease (Yes, our main bass singer could do it, but we have decided otherwise.) My only complaint about Tim's part is that it was way too short, especially since he hasn't sung a lead in a while. The same goes to Austin, and I'm starting to miss those two on lead. One of the reasons I really love HF's music is that they have 4 amazing lead voices at their disposition and that they always took advantage of that. But lately, it feels to me like Rob and Chance are the only ones who get to sing lead throughout the whole song, and I want to hear more of Tim and Austin again. Btw, I might have misunderstood what you meant by your remark about harmonies, but according to what I've heard, Tim is singing harmonies in this song, and Chance is singing bass.
Totally agree! I want more Austin on lead. With the more recent “Love Me Like That”, he has the lead and it’s SICK! Love Rob, but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Austin!
Home free has 4 new videos and 1 new song out from their new album, be great to grt some reactions on them. Dive bar saints, remember this, catch me if you can, go rest on that mountain - country rebel church edition. Song only - Dreamer(s). Keep up the grest work.
Loved your reaction, and been waiting for it since your last HF reaction ;) I agree with Tim's part. My first thought was exactly the same - It was a bit out of place compared to the rest of it. However, the more I hear the song, the better I like his part, so I suppose it's something you have to get used to. I do think he missed a great opportunity, though. He has the most incredible talking voice, so I think him talking would have been outstandting - Even though he's very country (which I happen to love).
You guys need to go back to the original "Boys to Men" performance. Their bass had an entire spoken solo at that point. I, too, thought Tims' solo was superfluous.
Yep, killed another one didn't they? You think they can't top one and then they pull out another and someone else takes the lead and it just goes on and on! Love these guys and they truly, truly make my life brighter and I put them on every time I'm feel down or stressed! End up smiling and feeling better! Thanks as always.
Rob is finally gaining confidence in his own voice. Which makes me happy. As far as Tim, I love him, and love his voice, but I felt the same way about his part in the song.. it didn't fit. It felt like he wasn't really comfortable with his part in the song, and the weird facial clip bothered me the most.
You guys should react to Mike masse Africa. It's 10 years old at this point but there is a reason it has 12m views. All his stuff is great but this was amazing
Tim's solo fit perfectly because in the original that's where the bass guy talked. What he sang was "lonely...soooo lonely"
Rob knocked it out of the park, didn’t he? Excellent!!!
Rob go full on at the end was amazing.
Thank you for this reaction and for loving Rob. Some people underestimated Rob. I remember reading a news article where Rob's voice teacher from college was quoted as saying that Rob had an exceptional voice and was equally good singing, Opera, Jazz or theater and that is very rare. Yet they will sprinkle it in lightly when they can but you see it more often in their live shows. People shouldn't think because they don't do something means they can't.
ThatSingerReacts calls him Gospel Rob when he gets down like this
What was so special for me was the transformation from Rob singing Colder Weather on the Sing-Off and being incredibly nervous...to completely owning his voice in this song. He has always been good, but he just killed this! Burned up the room.
Ally Bandy agreed ! I never knew he had so much soul, or, if he did- they didn’t highlight it before for some crazy reason.
I completely agree. I love Rob.
HOME FREE SLAYS THIS Love your reactions..... MISS YOU TWO !!!!!! Its 3-6-21 and i have NOT seen a reaction from you guys in several weeks. HOPE you are well and safe.
Nothing better than Rob singing lead and doing it in soul. Goosebumps, love it myself!
Tim's solo is where the Boyz II Men bass "reads" the love letter in the original. I think they wanted to pay tribute to that, but not make it the same, so they had Time do that little piece. It's a sound theory anyway. LOL Love the reaction, thanks guys! ^_^
They might just sneak that Death Metal in on us! LOL
I agree but really needed to be a few words more I think to make it fit better
@@Ididnotwanttojoin: I was actually surprised that Marco didn't understand what Tim was singing. I understood him no problem. Just a personal view ,I used the hate the love letter in the middle of boyzto men so I was so relieved it wasn’t there !
I couldn't click fast enough. Rob slayed it. I knew he could sing but I didn't realize he could SING. Even having listened to the song several times I still get goosebumps. Rob's voice is smooth and mello like a cello, Austin's is like a trumpet clear and crisp.
Rob KILLED it!!!
Amen!! LOVE HOME FREE!! ALL OF THEM!!
Rob killed it !!!
It's a natural thing to say they were awesome!!!!🌹
DAYUM! Tight. Very tight vocals and harmonies.
Patrons just got a new video so watch for another UA-cam release soon.

Home Free probably can do the cover of about any genre of music well, I haven't seen anything from them that they have done badly at all.

Ali, that cardigan looks super comfy! Also, Rob is such a BEAST! Who knew he had that hiding in there!
Definitely my favorite reactors. Adams beatboxing was amazing and I love the intro. Home Free always does a fantastic job, such extraordinary talent.
Tim's Lead was excellent actually! Everyone else that I have seen React Loved Tim's part! I totally agreed with them!
your reactions always make the song better for me ..thanx..i knew you would love this video
Love your faces while you listen. Of course you are so good looking.....Rob was preaching man.
That moment when you realize that ....ANY....of these Artist could win The Voice...AGT...American Idol...etc....period.
I don't think any of them would be able to win AGT since none of them are kids and none of them have done stories
Sob
Loved watching your facial expressions and obvious enjoyment!
Thanks Love this Rob on Fire 🔥 and Adam holding down the rhythm! 😍❤️😍❤️🔥🔥✌🏻
I showed my dad a few of their videos and instead of reacting to their songs , he wondered who the hot guy was xD and he meant Austin rofl
AS WE SAY IN THE HOOD, "ROB SANG!!!!"
They nailed it. It is not very often a cover is better the the original.
Those five definitely belong together.
I hope you have your tickets they are coming to Germany again doing several shows there.
Love your Home Free reactions! Would still like to see you react to "Story of My Life" and "Bye Bye Bye" Tim hits some really low notes in Bye Bye Bye!
They're so awesome
They killed this song. It’s a sublime version.
these guys are so great...thank you both for sharing this... watch the most time your faces.... your mimik tells everything....

my wish: that Rob did more songs like these...as songleader....you know what i mean....at these one he was soooooo great....he lead it

Dont know if you guys know but on the sing off the season home free was on one of the judges was shawn from boys 2 men.
Watch the Boys II Men version. There is a spoken interlude in their video, done by their low bass, and the bass solo by Tim, while not replicating the original, seemed to pay tribute to it.
Maravilhoso , musica linda , vozes lindas , muito bem colocadas , parabéns
I love seeing your reactions. Rob has skills don't he?
Another A Capella group (I know! There’s now too many to choose from! We are so spoilt for choice with these guys, PTX and Citizen Queen) I’ve just discovered is Voiceplay. They were also on the Sing Off, just like Home Free and PTX. I’m delving through their back catalogue at the moment and have come to Survivor featuring Home Free it was amazing! Much love to you guys from the UK 🇬🇧
Check it home free brothers in arms
Have you reacted to Home Free’s “Everybody Walkin This Land”? It’s a powerful message so appropriate for right now.

Awesome reaction guys! Like always😁 Home Fry right here🙋 Btw, Ali you married?🤗 Lol
Would be amazing if you reacted to a collaboration between Tim and Fox&Hound - "We Three Kings"
You guys should react to Mike masse Africa. It's 10 years old at this point but there is a reason it has 12m views. All his stuff is great but this was amazing
You should check out Home Free doing the Butt Song
