I’M SO HAPPY!! Chance is actually a really talented guy. He is a photographer, artist, musician and videographer. He used to produce all the videos for his old band “Street Corner Symphony”. This and “Helplessly Hoping” are his two genius video ideas/productions for HF so far. Chance actually helped with the editing on this one as well. He was the one who went through and added the color. All of these guys are so multi talented. Some of them are great actors. Couple are great song arrangers. Chance is multi “artsy” talented. All amazing.
You guys are amazing as well. Thank you so much for doing this one! I can now watch your videos without feeling like you are missing a major Home Free element 😁.

Chance directed this one. He did SUCH a good job. This was the first music video I EVER cried over.
I'm glad you guys did this one. When the song was first released I replayed the song for hours. Chance brought the song to the group and the video idea was his as well... Also directed.

Chance doesn't always get the recognition he so richly deserves and all the guys are outstanding, no question. I agree with other comments...haunting...so bittersweet. I going to see them in Orlando in Dec. Can't wait!
I am soooo happy you watched this. It left me speechless as well. Chance nails it. And the lower register of the entire harmony, is so lush. Oh lordy what a heart breaker! You still need to watch 'What We Ain't Got'. It is another amazing video. AND A NEW VIDEO JUST DROPPED for Man of Constant Sorrow!!!!!

Chance has very smooth, clear vocals, and this song is sad, but soothing at the same time. And I agree to all that you said about it.
This one breaks your heart. In a good way? If there is such a thing... Glad to have you back with us! YAY! I'd like to make a suggestion for a double feature. First 19 You & Me - Peter Hollens & Home Free , and then Dan + Shay - 19 You + Me (Home Free featuring Peter Hollens cover) . Peter has the lead in his video and Austin in Home Free's. The videos are totally different from each other and even though they have the same singers are similar yet different with the lead changes and videos. Home Free even has a behind the scenes out there that could make it a triple feature! LOL Thanks, I really enjoyed seen you fellows back with an "older" video. ^_^
What this group has that others lack is called " full-spectrum headroom".... My definition for filling up all the sound waves throughout the entire song. Two basses give such a solid foundation to build off of. Yeah "It's all about that bass"

I am so glad you decided to continue the Home Free Video's. IMO- you guys are the best. This song brings me to my knees every time I watch it. I love the Past/ Present take feature they did here. There are several of Home Free's songs/videos that you haven't reacted too that are some of my favorites! Like "Story of my Life" "What We Aint Got" "Children Go Where I Send Thee" (w/Kenny Rogers) "Good Ol' Country Harmony" (an original written by Tim) "Summer in the Country" (original, I think written by Austin) "Bring Him Home" (featuring Austin- from Le Miserable) and "God Bless the USA" (I realize you guys aren't Americans but Adam's beatboxing is fantastic! You guys have missed a lot!
ALSO!! They did a video of "Bye Bye Bye" because they prepared it for the TV show the "Sing Off" that they never got to use, so they made the video for their fans! Tim hits one of the lowest notes he's ever done on video.
Hey! :-) You guys are always busy with a lot of things. I totally understand that! I'm constantly on the run from one project to the next, and I have nowhere NEAR as many people following me as you two do! It takes time, and you have a lot of interests, and we Home Fries can be really demanding! LOL Not only do we watch every video and comment there, but we watch reactor after reactor (I know the "we" is correct, because I see all the same people doing the same thing I'm doing...lol).
Still...you guys are really the best. It's great fun to watch you thoughtfully, knowledgeably, and emotionally react to the songs we already know and love. PLUS...you watch the whole song respectfully, and in so doing, you catch the little nuances that a lot of reactors miss, because they've stopped and started the video or were commenting right over the spot they shouldn't have been.
Not only is it just FUN, watching your reactions, but nearly every time I watch, I pick up something else that I hadn't seen before, because of your very insightful comments. Mostly, though, it's simply enjoyable to watch you guys enjoying something we enjoy...yes! :-)
This whole video presentation was Chance. It was his idea, he developed it, and he directed it. The lady, though, wasn't "his" (a lot of people have asked about that). She "belongs" to one of his best friends, and is an actress. ;-)
Pure...yes! Isn't it really the way we tend to see things over time? To me, it is. From what I've seen of others responding and reacting, I think they feel the same way.
I think it's absolutely fitting that you watched this particular one at a time when you were "trying to outrun" the busy-ness presented/demanded by us needy Home Fries! ;-)

I think Adam Chance has my favorite sound to his voice, a softness like Rob's which is why those 2 sound so nice together. I like when Tim and Austin go soft as well, Austin sounds completely different in his soft lower range. I want to hear Adam Rupp in a solo!

Another great reaction to a song I absolutely adore!
If you guys ever find some time for it, it would be amazing if you could react to the Netflix series "Anne with an E". I just finished a rewatch of it and it's just the best feelgood-hits-you-right-in-the-hearts show. Different from the other things you guys watch, but that might be a nice change, I don't know. All I can say is the acting is amazing, the music is glorious, the landscapes are fantastic and well... the story is based off of on of my favourite book series of all time. So maybe that convinces you to give it a chance. First season only has 7 episodes and there's only 2 seasons overall so far, so it's not THAT big of a commitment.
And with that I stop shamelessly selling my stuff to you and just repeat: Great reaction to an amazing song, so thanks for making a dark evening a little brighter! It's so nice to see something of you guys again, I rarely get to watch these days because I'm super busy and you guys mostly do music vids (which I only partially watch) and follow series I haven't had the time (or courage) for yet, so there's not a huge overlap of the things you produce and the things I will actually watch, sadly. But who knows, maybe someday. If either your or I get to watch something we haven't seen yet, that the other one's already seen - does that make sense? xD Or maybe we'll have another live stream at some point in the future. I'd really love that.

I feel like Peter Hollens when he gets all excited at the end of his videos and claps his hands and says; "YIPPEE!". I have so hoped they would get to this song. I think it's one of Home Free's best.I am mostly speaking to the Fries, but Marco and Ali you can listen in too as it is your channel...haha!We will always want Home Free to be recognized and applauded but I was wondering if any of you are David Phelps and/or Gaither Vocal Band fans? Talk about a wealth of outstanding music. I just saw the GVB last weekend and I swear Bill is getting younger. Anyhoo, if Mario and Ali don't object, I'd love to hear y'all's opinions. Thanks!Mario and Ali -- the GVB is a longstanding Southern Gospel group and David Phelps sang with them for many years, but is now performing solo as a Christian singer. Just so you know. I became a Home Fry the first night they appeared on The Sing-Off. With that being said, I understood Chris's reasons for leaving but Chance never quite sounded "right" in the group. Until this song. This was the turning point for me and now things sound off when Chance isn't involved. Also, Trace Adkins has a version of this song (that's on youtube). That is what I imagine this one was built from. It's worth giving that a listen as well.
