I feel that learning good positioning an general game awareness at a faster pace is what got me to GC. Mastering those mechanics you mentioned until about gold, maybe platinum can get you GC.

A tip to get out of gold would be learning fast aerials, its probably the best tip! :)

fast aerials should be start learning in plat at least but instead at gold you should be focusing on rotations, boost locations, defending and power shots[hitting the ball with big speed(NOT IN AIR, ON GROUND)].

Beautiful editing, but idk about some of these mechanics. It seems very ambitious to learn cealing shots and speed flips at diamond. I got to gc this season without knowing how to speed flip or ceiling shot. (Im trying to learn it now).
I think it's really important to learn airroll in high diamond/ low champ. It will add so much flexibility into your game
I would agree, I started learning speedflips at diamond but that's only because I'm a ones player and kept getting beaten on the kickoff. And honestly, it didn't even help me that much. It definitely cannot carry you to champ.
Regular air dribbles are overrated but they teach you to do wall clears, which are useful. Ceiling shots really are not that useful at low ranks since it takes you a long time to get back to the ball. The amount of times I actually feel like going for a ceiling shot is my best option in my champ games is extremely low.
Speed flips are important. I learned it I diamond and saved the game by the kickoff goals. im now champ 2 working to c3 and GC!
Imo, air roll isnt inportant in the intermediate and below ranks, ive learned it (seriously, I have a good foundation) and it doesnt rlly help as for ceiling shots, there not hard to use so i see it as alright

another important mechanic in champ are low 50s, everyone just expects a flick and challenges super high, this got me out of c2 in 2 days
I'm a D1 now and started learning speed flips just before becoming diamond. Very few people at low diamond use them but I do see some. I also know how to wave dash but don't quite know how to use them in-game properly yet.
I'm surprised to not find dribbles and flicks in this video but thanks I gotta work on air dribbles I guess!

got to C1, absolutely free from D3, but still can't push to C2
i'm trying to learn flip resets rofl but actually for fun, i have no use for that in this rank honestly, i don't think flip resets are what i'm missing, i'm trying double taps and get at least one more touch after i start an aerial, but it's hard for me to read the double tap :/ i've also been learning air roll but not that constant air roll bullshit
what's been helping me a lot is mastering dribbling, on the ground, also double jumping to start an aerial from the ground, you talked about air dribble but forgot to mention ground dribble

Bro the first thing in plat is what i need to learn and Ik everything else except double taps and ceiling shot and the uh breezy flicks and flip reset but i can musty flick (Diamond)
Also those diamond teammates i got there ankles got put on life support and they still blamed me for missing a air dribble against 2 kids sitting in a net plus he bumped me mid-air.
Idk I learnt flip resets pretty easily. Like 100 tries in and I was getting about 75%(I learnt it at play 3/d1 and I learnt aerials at silver(cos I played casual with my play 3/d1 friend) and then air dribbles at gold. I took the imma be as mechanical as possible route to rocket League... I am at c1 now. So I still have a long way to go but I enjoy freestyling even though I ain't great at it.

As a Plat I am offended, but it is true, we are all trash and we need to learn these, I have learned the half flip and am really trying to learn wave dashes and speed flips. Just the half flip has helped me improve alot. I have watched you're speed flip tutorial so much and although I am improving at it I am not doing great and won't use it yet in a real game I know it's something essential I should spend time learning. I think the most essential thing I as a Plat should learn is honestly HITTING AN OPEN NET, I swear to God I can do I fairly basic air Shor but I can't hit an open net
I also strongly would recomend learning 45 degree flicks in champ they carry a lot ;D even more in 1s if you get consistent at them
I'd suggest learning them as early as possible

I know this is off topic, but like can you tell me how to, join a specific ranked tournament? Like i want to get the all star cup but i cant see which is a diamond tournament and which isnt? Here I am in Diamond 2-3 and whenever I go to 1's I get trash talked about how I play like a silver and was carried. Got decent game sense, but my mechanics are in need of improvement. Should probably do more training packs, haha!

I would say that what mechanic you should learn is more based on game sense than rank. I'm high P/low D and barely have the core mechanics, just playing on my opponents mistakes more or less. Basic dribbling and fast aerials should be enough to get you to C if you just use your brain a little instead of being a ballchasing soloplayer wich is about 90% of the lower ranks (P and below) playerbase
You talking facts about the ceiling shot, they’re very under used
It's bc of how risky they are. Missing a ceiling shot is basically passing the ball to the opponent
i am camp and i cant do a ceiling shot but i can airdribble and do double touches (1 out of 3 times ( im only c1)) i dont really know i should go for a ceiling shot.... really kice video

As an ssl, learn whatever you want whenever you want anything will give you better car control. I was learning flip resets when I was plat and I hit ssl after 2 years of playing the game. Its all about just putting in the hours
Btw I have a smurf account where I play without even jumping or boosting at all and im daimond. Mechanics isn't needed but it makes the game more fun

I had 3000 goals with like 60 of them being aerial and long shots combined. I think it was about 30 aerial goals (after getting an xbox and "re startung",). Im weak in a lot of areas including aerials and was told more than once "you cant even aerial lol". Thats ok, Im ok with being average at RL. 3K goals and 1% of them being in the air is overkill and a black swan but hopefully it shows you dont have to fly at everything to rank up. I got to champ with a sound dribble and flick game which i guess was ok.

Honestly you don't need to be able to make aerial saves until high champ/low gc, unless you play a ton of 3s. Ground play > aerial game

im champ 1 mostly use air dribbles but ik how to reset i only do it in game if ik i can get it forsure or if up by 3+ i only like using it for passes a lot bc ppl just assume youll shoot for the clip
only reason why i learned reset as much as i have is bc i have been air dribbling since plat. resets i only practice after 30 min of double touch and i score 5 in a row

Recently hit champ… literally can’t do any of the recommended mechanics, can’t even half flip on the spot lol. Can you make an in depth video covering wave dashes (practice, when to go for them, and common mistakes) there aren’t many videos about them
You've gotta know how to half flip at champ. That's definitely something to focus on before anything else. It'll take an hour at most to get used to and then it's just consistency
For wavedashes look at the virge tutorial i think i remember that one helped me when i was learning

Ok so I have 150 hours In rocket league and in diamond this helped me to get to champ thanks
