Does anyone know of an alternative to Flight Engineer that's compatible with modern version of KSP? Something that shows TWR, stuff like that. I know about Basic DeltaV and it doesn't have a lot of what Flight Engineer had.

Thank you for making this video and making it easy for me to understand how to get to orbit easier and more proficient.

my rule: all 2000 meters,go 10 degree downward until you are at the 30 angle

Wikipedia says that terminal velocity is the velocity where drag equals gravity, so v_t = sqrt((2mg)/(r*A*C_D)), where mg is the weight of the craft, r is the air density, A is the projected area, and C_D is the drag coefficient. Does this only apply to an object falling through air or does it also apply to rockets?

      that is a thrust = 0 situation.

Wow weird. Made the same rocket as you with the skipper, 1 large fuel tank, added a heatshield, decoupler, antenna on the side, 3 kerbals and a parachute at the tip of the rocket.
D/v at launch is 3675. TWR 1.34. Did a launch profile as VAOS recommended in 1 of his videos:
At 50m/s after launch start tilting rocket. At around 10 degrees, hit prograde button with SAS. Turned off at 90km apoapsis. Burned at apo 747 d/v for 91km/89km orbit.
Left with 843m/s left of fuel. Left scratching my head as it only cost me 2843.
Tried again. This time I had flames everywhere as I was ascending, stopped burning at 100 km apo. Burned at apo 171 d/v for a 97/91 km orbit.
Left with 969 d/v this time.
I don't have kerbal engineer, I couldn't install for a strange reason so d/v readings are from the staging bit. I assume it's inaccurate? Still I have so much d/v left in orbit???

Is the 3675m/s Vacuum Δv or ASL Δv?

@@AndyWandy242 It was the reading the game gives you in the staging part as you build the rocket, so I presume ASL. It was actually 4000+ vacuum. I ended up using the debug/cheat menu to give me vacuum d/v when building rockets.

@@divegabe You don't need the cheat menu to see vacuum d/v when you're building a rocket - you can change the reference point used to calculate d/v and TWR. Just click the d/v tools button at the bottom right of the VAB/SPH interface.
