I bought your cheap option for an artist projector from last years list, and the mural in my son's room looks amazing for it. He now uses the project to watch Mickey Mouse club house on the ceiling. Thank you for recommending the worst scoring projector because you realize it had great potential outside of media quality. My baby doesn't care about screen door, pixel density, or 4K resolution. How large was the mural? (If you don’t mind me asking) I’m looking for a projector for around 8ftx10ft murals. Do you think the projector is sufficient for that size?
Hey, sorry, had comment notifications off. It was the EZCast Beam J2. The size of the mural really depends on the distance from the wall it's being projected on. The video was "Should you Buy a portable projector."

Lovely work as usual! Thanks for putting in this effort! Is there a particular one you'd go with for outdoor, digital decorations? Is 1080p important in this aspect?
I'm using both the Happrun and Yowhick for outdoor digital decorating at the moment. The Yowhick is nice because it's very small so I can hide it in a tombstone prop I already had made. I run my AtmosFX files off of a raspberry pi that needs to use 720p to not freeze, so 1080p isn't that important to me out there.
I know this was for the cheap projectors, but out of curiosity I checked out the ~$200 range VAABZZ and saw it has been unavailable with the latest review from March 2022. Looks like that truly was a scam projector that faulted out after ~month of use. The NexiGo PJ10 has been perfect since I exchanged, to give some input if you ever make that update video, although it looks like you mention a newer/different version. Great video!
Not sure what happened with the VAABZZ in the US. It's still being sold in the UK. They sent out a firmware update for the ones sold in the US that lowered the brightness slightly and prevented the lines on the screen (pretty sure it was just an overheating issue, which could explain why some people had issues quickly while others had no problems)
Thanks for this review. I needed a somewhat ok projector for the bedroom. It needs to be real small and versatile so I went with the Yowhick. All projectors in this scale are pretty bad so this seems to be the best of the bunch. Contemplated a larger format like the happrun but it just wouldn't fit. :(
I have a background with Amazon. For all Amazon users it should be noted that it has been discovered that SOME Chinese sellers have found a way to co-opt or take over existing Amazon listings with high review counts. For example, a highly reviewed product could have been listed a couple years ago but has since been abandoned or is an older product no longer sold. Some Chinese sellers used backend exploit techniques to switch out the old product images and attributes and insert their new stuff which is often a completely different product. However, the review count remains the same. This is just food for thought and it's hard to detect unless you read reviews or go back far enough in reviews.
I've even noticed some reputable brands abusing this. The new viewsonic UST just came out a month ago but appears to have 400+ positive reviews because they put it as a "color" variation with some of their traditional bulb projectors: amzn.to/3Tal4U4
@@TheHookUp that is another way to game the system. In product listings with multiple variations (color or size etc) all of the review are attributed to the parent listing. All the other versions on the page are considered child listings. Use Crocs for example. There will likely be multiple colors/sizes. Let's assume Crocs knew Black 11s were the best seller. They list that as the original product and all the variations as children. A year later they decide to add a more awful looking color as a child. That version will also share or benefit from the parentage. The only way to determine which items sells best or most is with paid software. This doesn't mean the newly added child is bad but it does get a head start for sales traction.
Dude your reviews are the best I have seen on YT. Thank you for your hard and very professional work. One question. What projector in the $125-150 range would you recommend for outdoor movie nights? Power and Wi-Fi no problem. Wireless streaming a must. If you can give me your recommendation and affiliate link I’ll buy one upon your reply. Thank you again for giving us so much info so quickly and straight forward. So refreshing and so rare these days!!!
I have been kicking the idea of buying a projector for a while, but your video and info that you provided me helped out immensley thank you. I just purchased the HAPPRUN model from the link you provided. Thank you again for the hard work to make this purchase so damn easy
This video needs more likes and views. Love the comparisons especially for people like me that just buys Amazon stuff based off stars and amount of reviews 😅
In the end I went on Amazon US and got the Wimius S26. I found some good reviews on UA-cam and it had some good discount ( regardless how much those"dis ounts" a tually are). We'll see when I put my hands on it. Thank you again, beautiful comparisons! 🖤
@@guardianobserver6593 I'm very happy with it. ! meter it's too little, you can't focus it, I believe. I focus it on a wall about 2.5 meters away and it seems to be close to its focus limit. It's nothing fancy, on how it's built, but it works fine. For the price I've got it, with some black friday discounts, it's actually great, if you're not a picture perfectionist. The speaker surprised me, it sounds pretty good! However the remote started to behave a little weird, it doesn't always adjust the volume, but maybe I just have to clean the sensor or something, I haven't looked into it. Overall, it's a cheap projector and have obvious limitations, but it's not very loud and the picture looks pretty well for movies, but as a pc screen it's garbage. This is my first projector and we're having fun with it, putting it up in the kids bedroom, our bedroom or for Halloween projections. I recommend it :)
Weird, I see plenty of reviews of the TMY you show here but not a single review for the model that has WiFi and BT. Also, there's 3 more WiMiUS models on amazon (two of them under $100) aside from the one you show here. All in all though, wow! Excellent job on breaking everything down!
Wow, I know nothing about projectors but was just investigating getting one instead of a TV for my new place. Thank you so much, this was so concise and saved me hours of time! I'm in the UK but will try to find a way to use your affiliate link 😁
That was very exciting. Like watching Projector playoffs. Thanks, this makes it very easy to understand and pick according to price range at the same time.
Aw man I just pulled the trigger a week ago and didn't have your latest list and affiliate links! I'm still going to click all of them, but I ended up just going with the Wimio. I got 3 of them to do some Halloween projections. Ordered one first, and I'm really impressed with how good the image is. I also have an Epson HC 4010 in my main theater setup so I wasn't really expecting much out of these cheap little lightweight projectors. I haven't performed a side by side or direct comparison yet, but from what I've been using it for, I have been very impressed. Thank you for keeping these reviews and comparisons so brief but chock-full of info. I have definitely liked and subscribed.
An addition you might include next time: the cost, life span, and availability of the bulb. I haven't looked at buying a projector for some years, but when I last did the bulbs were outrageously priced compared against the cost of simply buying a new projector. Thanks for your hard work.
The type of projector in this video (usually called "single LCD") does not have a serviceable light source. The LEDs will last roughly 10,000-20,000 hours before showing significant degradation will far outlast the other components in the projector and the useful lifespan of the device. Even the conservative estimate of 10,000 hours equates to 4 hours of usage every single day for 7 years.
What the hell, I just stumbled across the best channel, this is perfect. You are doing saints work here sir, thank you :) You really are "The Hook Up" LMAO

@@metaldreams3595 it looks really good!
Another very good review! Thanks for putting this together. I got the Nexigo for the bedroom based on your last review and I'm happy with it.
Probably the most useful channel i have ever found on youutube. Thanks
This video must have taken forever to create! I am a perfectionist and I say this review is perfect.
Not sure why anyone would give this a thumbs down. 🤷♂ Keep on keeping on, thanks for this!
You got these videos on lockdown bruh. You were made for this.
In the end I went on Amazon US and got the Wimius S26. I found some good reviews on UA-cam and it had some good discount ( regardless how much those"dis ounts" a tually are). We'll see when I put my hands on it. Thank you again, beautiful comparisons! 🖤
Are you happy with it? Which is the minimum distance it can focus well? Can I focus in 80 cm or one meter for example? Thank you.
Subbed after 1 minute in. Reviews and testing like this deserve it.
Thanks for the time and effort.
Weird, I see plenty of reviews of the TMY you show here but not a single review for the model that has WiFi and BT. Also, there's 3 more WiMiUS models on amazon (two of them under $100) aside from the one you show here.
All in all though, wow! Excellent job on breaking everything down!
Doing gods work !
the cheer amount of work tô put this vídeo togheter blows my mind.Thank you
Wow, I know nothing about projectors but was just investigating getting one instead of a TV for my new place.
You just totally ROCKED and SUPER THANK YOU for your testing and sharing. Very Valuable and I AM ordering from your link.
I bought the Happrun projector through your link. Thanks for the review. It's very impressive.
Having a running dataset on the website is genius!
Thanks for this. I'm putting together my outdoor holiday display. Do you have a recommendation for an outdoor rear projection screen?
Thank you for this great review
This video is pure dedications, thanks for the work!
I ended up getting the happrun and am very happy with my decision. Thanks for the awesome info
Glad to hear you are Happ(y)run with it!
i've been waiting for this video. thank you!
Are you serious with this review? Could you please teach all other thousand youtubers how to do it. You saved me hours, congrats for that great and concise content.
A quality video, well presented and on point analysis.
Thanks for doing gods work. Can’t imagine how much time this took.
Thanks a lot! It's one of the coolest comparison ever existed. Short, concise, informative... Thanks)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas. I am considering acquiring a projector in the next few weeks. Your spreadsheet link is greatly appreciated !
Incredibly simple and helpful. Thanks for your video.
Thanks for doing this testing! This is so much better than just the normal amazon reviews
Dude, this video is a gold mine!
thanks man! your channel has really helped me out choosing a good projector on a budget
man you are a legend bro. no more words. thanx for deeper deeper explanmations bro. keep it up...❤❤❤❤😊😊
i watched the $200 video and the Happrun looks much better than the $200 options, I just ordered it Lmao great video I love the comparisons, it really shows what youre buying
well howd the happrun work out flr ya?
@@metaldreams3595 it looks really good! Just gotta be careful if you’re gonna use it like I did, definitely don’t let it run on a single image for a while 😂😂 it’s my tv for when I lay down at night so falling asleep to step brothers on HBO max has will Ferrell and John C. Riley burnt into the image but letting some TV shows play all night has taken most of the burnt image out surprisingly 😂 other than that, the UI is meh but not too bad. Image quality is real good, the fan is not loud at all. Is good for the price tag for sure 👍
This review is freaking awesome, I just subscribed and liked.
Thanks!
subscribed cause there wasnt a ton of blaber on and on before getting to the testing and the relivant info
Appreciate the effort and time that went into this video!
The legend is the hook up man
Great reviews as always. Picked up the YoWhick to try to use for some AtmosFX pumpkin or other Halloween display as it has a $30 coupon so the real price is $60. Perfect price for prop/toy.
Thanks for your input and time it's truly appreciated. I you don't mind me asking how do you rate the new Nexigo pj30 over the pj20. Again thank you.
snagged a faltopu 1080p for $50! comes with a free 120" screen too, thanks for the review!
