I just bought this Gourmia 6qt with 12 presets at Target. Came here to watch video reviews and this is the same but just 8qt. It's just me and my husband so hopefully 6 is good but it was only $34.99 and I had $13.77 left on a gift card so I got it. Walmart had an 8qt one but with only 8 presets and it was all sold out. I love the see through window. He cooks I'm not much of a cook but hope to cook more using this.
I had my Gourmia is for years how are y’all getting rust? I also don’t put my rack in dishwasher I hand wash parts also I use foil time to time depending on what I’m making. I just recently upgraded to this (saving it for holidays)
I bought a pot set from Sam's club 30 years ago. It was the first generation of Teflon and new to consumers. It doesn't have one scratch on it and I'm still alive and kicking.
My new Gourmia Air Fryer GAF824 8 Qt is giving off toxic fumes.. (I had big hopes for this product). I have never cooked food in this Air-Fryer because of this issue. The nauseating stench fumes are coming from the non-stick basket and crisper tray. The toxic stench is persisting even after at least TEN cleaning and burning off cycles of 10-30 minutes...I was willing to use this I item WITHOUT the crisper tray but the basket continues to give off a persistent toxic stench as well... The bottom line is I do not want to eat food cooked in this toxic appliance...It's bad enough I have had to put up with breathing the toxic fumes it gives off. Sending back to WM today...
Just because he didn't say anything negative doesn't mean it's not honest. What if he used it and just liked everything about it? In that case it would be dishonest to say anything negative because he would have to make something up. It could just be that this is a gray air fryer for the price.
I have the 6 qt version, going 6 months strong and no signs of any kind of rust and I use it and clean it at least 3 times a week. the rack in the basket just pulls right out, it's also dishwasher safe too. very easy to clean. my one con is that moisture can build up between the 2 windowed panels (poor qc in gaskets)
I have the windowless version and it's been amazingly good! My single only complaint is basket is a bit hard for me to wash (I had major surgery on my leg and can't stand long). But that isn't a Gourmia thing, and it's been much better since I bought some air fryer parchment liners. If the rust with the window?? I can't speak to this window version, but the one I got last year at this time has been a wonderful workhorse with no problems!
I own the original ninja for 3 years now and going. Never use soap. Never put it in the dishwasher. I use it almost three times a week since. It still looks and brand new. It's all about how you care for things. You may want to look into that before you bash the appliance for rusting. It may be the user.
@@johnbooth1229 Would LOVE tips on how to keep the tray clean as that is starting to look grungy. And even though I avoided spray. sides get dirt and never seem to fully clean. I'll gladly learn better if you have any thoughts!! It's not terrible, but definitely seeing wear.
@@ellenw391well, in order to not have to use a degreasing soap which also takes away the surface oils that help keep it non-stick, You have to use hot ass water and a brush after rinsing. Just like if you ever used a steam to clean something. Or like in a dishwasher, It's using very hot water. Also never let it soak too long in hot water because it cools and then hardens the grease onto the surface.
Yeah I know and every time they go to review another air fryer no matter what brand it is, everybody pulls out french fries. With everybody on the carnivore diet these days or most of us. We want to know how it can cook a steak or a pork chop or a chicken breast. Hell, my kids can cook cookies in an Easy-Bake oven

I bought it and I returned to Costco for 3 times because it rusts into the basket it doesn’t work. It not good product I don’t recommend it.
