Dude, I can’t believe you made this so quickly. This is the time I need for only one of those. I will try the race car thing on my next silver maple. I normally follow the root but it making long wood chips that are harder to pickup with the shovel.

Grind away! I always hit any surface roots first so they are easy to find. Got the sg 40 pushing 1000 hrs of grinding and a kabota scl1000 to do the heavy lifting!

Nice video as usual, I bring massive roots the same way. Grind all roots 1st then grind out the stump itself. Keep’m coming brother

I'm glad we don't have too many like that in Ohio, at least I haven't seen too many, worst ones I see are maples that make a giant hump under the main stump, but hey I just started back in November and really didn't know much (I still don't but I work my way through) you're videos have helped me so much, I was going to turn down some tip overs because I didn't have a clue how to attack them but I found your video and tried one and it wasn't that bad, I have a small machine an old 252 and I have a friend with a big pull behind Vermeer 50 ho or so, we trade off work depending on who fits best, but anyway your help is priceless to me, thank you

Great job. Sometimes root chasing can be a pain. Having that mini skid is a lifesaver though when dealing with that much volume of chips.
