@@RampagePoker Yeah, I get it dude but I don't know if you have any idea how much you're the one influencing and significantly increasing the variance in every hand you play. 95 percent of poker players aren't very good and you job is to "minimize" the stupid shit they do in limit your risk. And instead, you do almost the exact opposite. And the other thing that you do that gets to me is that you very rarely maximize your strong hands. You'll have the second or third nuts and I've literally seen you be affraid to raise in these spots. Take it from someone who made a WSOP final table (no, not the main event) and has 21 years of poker experience, I know what what I'm talking about here.

You’re the Man Ethan. Was thinking, I know you’ve learned a lot on this journey. And I know you ran like GOD when you won your first WSOP tournament online. But if I was you in this spot, maybe going back and watch that to see how you used to play. If it’s different. If you’ve gotten too aggressive. Who knows. Tournaments are so hard I don’t know how anybody ever wins. Much less these guys that keep showing up at final tables. Watch yourself winning that first one. The one that put ya on the poker map. apart from the T9s CO 3! against UTG, his AT- opens/calls were standard. All the AT- hands he showed he either opened from CO or later, or called/3bet late position opens. He call himself a luck box for a good reason, he’s putting himself in more situations to be lucky and have big chip stacks early on in the tournament. He then leverages his stack against his opponent with premium cards and combo draws. Lots of opponents fold to his aggression. He’s a pure gambler and he’s lucky!

What do you all think about differences in the past changing the future? For example: "If I had played better in prior hands I would have had more chips but I would have busted on jacks anyway. " My premise is: if you played differently, like folded pre-flop instead of seeing a hand to the river, the discards would be in a different order and you probably wouldn't have gotten jacks when you got jacks in the future.
So I don't think it is ever valid to say "if I had done something different in the past then in the current situation ...". Because the current situation would be different from what it is.
    Thoughts?

I think you maximize EV by just calling the flop and calling his jam on the turn and hope he's bluffing.

I don’t think shoving 40 BBs in a 4-bet jam is the right play. I mean besides AK, you’re never getting called by a worse hand. You could’ve flatted the 3-bet.
